I Can Fix My Talent in Hundred Lives
Chapter 981: Return to the Great Snow Temple
Chapter 981: Chapter 706: Return to the Great Snow Temple
Chen Sheng sat alone in the quiet room, scanning the ancient seal script in his sea of consciousness, silently reciting in his heart:
“Seeking gold is divided into five grades: Heaven, Earth, Human, Divine, Ghost…”
His heart stirred slightly, and he pondered to himself:
“The ‘Central Yellow Palace Xumi Divine Monarch’ is merely ranked fourth as a True Monarch among Immortals…”
“Who knows what kind of differences exist between the various ranks?”
He followed the record down and swiftly sorted out his thoughts, gradually clarifying the pathway within.
“In today’s world of cultivation, as long as one occupies that position, regardless of which fruit position is attained, they are a True Monarch of Gold!!”
“Although there is a difference, ultimately, it’s merely a matter of authority level, not of essential difference!”
Chen Sheng nodded slightly and continued to browse the old cultivation regulations, thinking to himself:
“However, if traced back to ancient times, when the Great Sun Buddha and others had not yet attained the Dao, this division of five fruit positions was extremely important.”
“Back then, True Monarchs cultivated and absorbed the same constellation Golden Position!!”
“Especially emphasizing the arrangement of lord and ministers, with the four main positions each assuming their roles, corresponding to strict rules when attaining fruit positions.”
“Taking the four Sun Residences as an example, the ‘Fangri Rabbit’ as the leader of the Sun Residences, occupies the lord position and must first attain the Heavenly Immortal fruit position…”
“The remaining ‘Starri Horse’, ‘Maori Rooster’, and ‘Voidri Rat’ are ranked as ministers, assistants, and followers respectively, seeking Earth Immortal, Human Immortal, and Divine Immortal fruit positions in order.”
“Only thus can a Dao Embryo be accomplished!!”
“If the position is wrong, there will never be a day of perfection!!”
“As for the Ghost Immortal branch, it belongs to a sideline of the intercalary position, walking through borrowed paths and is not part of the orthodox star constellation sequence!!”
Reading about the evolution process of ancient gold-seeking, the clarity in Chen Sheng’s eyes deepened:
“After the enlightenment of figures like Buddha, this path of seeking Dao through the same position had completely declined!”
“Nowadays, to even avoid pollution, it’s best to steer clear of these positions…”
…
Chen Sheng closed his eyes, focused his mind, and thought to himself:
“Abandoning the old ways, the new ways must arise naturally.”
“The mainstream cultivation path for True Monarchs in the world today has already shifted to harmonious Dao through Yin and Yang ratio!”
“This path evolves into various ratio techniques, less and more together, old and less, old and more… all are its orthodox, achieving balance of four Qi, and then attaining Yin and Yang Perfection to the utmost realm.”
As thoughts flowed, Chen Sheng suddenly recalled his past life, the ‘Taiyin Fuwei Yingkui Immortal Monarch’.
“That one walked the path of less paired with more!”
“‘Vulnerable Moon’ was ranked in Taiyin, ‘Kuimu’ belonged to Lesser Yang…”
“Together they complemented each other, and then supplemented by Lesser Yin and Great Yang, the four Qi gathered, Yin and Yang balanced, and the ‘Dao Embryo’ could be cultivated!”
With all threads clarified, the cultivation pathway ahead was no longer confusing, Chen Sheng was suddenly enlightened, and the path of cultivation became clear and transparent.
…
Time flowed, leisurely across several years.
In the quiet room of the Great Snow Temple at the Southern Border, the luminous glow lingered without dispersing.
Chen Sheng slowly opened his eyes from meditation:
“It is done!”
During these days, he was in deep seclusion, using the warehouse and primary gold he possessed as main materials, repeatedly smelting, shaping, and nurturing within the Dantian day and night.
At this moment.
Within the Dantian.
A sacred treasure of the Buddhist sect with an awe-inspiring form and overflowing zen charm slowly took shape, evidently a treasure banner.
This treasure stood in the Qi sea of the Dantian, the banner body ancient and solemn, engraved with boundless rebirth Sutras, draping with thousands of gentle zen lights.
With a stir of his Heart Spirit, two Divine Techniques were completely summoned into the depths of the treasure banner, perfectly merging with the treasure spirit.
The Guiding Treasure Banner suddenly increased in spirit light, its treasure might becoming increasingly profound and vast, the Sutra chant lightly hummed, and auspicious Qi spiraled.
Chen Sheng’s gaze was serene, and he softly determined the treasure’s name:
“From this day forth, this treasure shall be named—Guiding Treasure Banner.”
…
On this day.
The ancient and solemn Great Snow Temple, its kurz beams slightly moved by the twilight glow from outside.
A crimson monk figure came walking in the air, with a majestic and stable aura, evidently a Venerable of the Buddhist Sect.
The Venerable Tokja draped in a crimson monk robe stepped into the temple unhurriedly, coming as ordered to replace Chen Sheng in guarding the key area of the Southern Border.
This person had an extraordinary identity, being the junior brother of the Great Wisdom Hidden Empty Bodhisattva, having cultivated two Divine Techniques, and stationed at the Spirit Mountain for years!
He came to the Southern Border precisely to take advantage of the opportunity of the Immortal Mansion and to strive for the Bodhisattva Fruit Position.
In the main hall, the incense lingered.
The Venerable Tokja’s gaze fell on Chen Sheng, a slight smile on his lips, he pressed his hands together and began calmly:
“Wuchen Arhat, from now on the Southern Border will be under my charge, I hope you can guide me before you depart.”
Chen Sheng’s expression was calm and unruffled, his tone detached and distant:
“The Venerable Tokja has profound Dao techniques, more than capable of managing this place. Wuchen, a mere shallow practitioner, truly cannot deserve the Venerable’s words.”
“The divisions, surrounding powers… all are detailed within the documents, the Venerable can browse them independently.”
Unwilling to engage in further pleasantries, he straightforwardly accounted for items within the temple, handing over the guarding seals…
The he motioned to two silhouettes beside him, standing quietly, Black Ebony and White Jiao, and they followed close behind.
“Matters here are settled. Wuchen takes his leave now.”
Saying this, Chen Sheng turned straight away, accompanied by the two protectors, and left gracefully.
The atmosphere in the grand hall instantly fell silent.
The Venerable Tokja watched Chen Sheng’s retreating figure, the smile on his face slowly fading, he sneered:
“My senior brother was merciful, graciously approved the exchange for the Great Snow Temple, already a gift…”
“This person not only lacks gratitude but instead maintains a cold and detached attitude, truly ignorant of politeness, utterly laughable.”
The accompanying monk quickly agreed in a low voice:
“The Venerable speaks truly, Spirit Mountain’s orthodoxy cannot be compared to sibling branches, the Venerable taking over this place, accumulating merit to strive for the Bodhisattva Fruit Position, is indeed the trend.”
The Venerable Tokja raised his hand slightly, his gaze toward the vast mountains outside the temple, his eyebrows full of determination:
“Just manage the temple peacefully, for sure monk will achieve perfect merit and attain the Bodhisattva Fruit Position!”
…
Vast snowy fields, ancient temple flying eaves.
The towering and solemn Great Snow Temple stood quietly among the mountains, its zen meaning lingering for ages.
Chen Sheng walked leisurely into the Mahavira Hall, the hall filled with swirling sandalwood incense, its warmth seeped within.
Only to see the Venerable Miao Shan Arhat seated comfortably on the Treasure Lotus platform, his brows kind and gentle, enveloped in peaceful and harmonious zen Qi.
“Disciple pays respects to the master.”
Miao Shan Arhat slowly opened his eyes, gazing upon his beloved disciple, gently sighed, and shook his head with helplessness, he said:
“It’s good to be back!”
“The Void Sun lineage has really shown a poor appearance! This time, you’ve truly suffered.”
When his words ended, he slowly lifted his skinny yet warm hand, an ancient and simple treasure cup, entirely lustrous and flowing with faint starry radiance, gradually ejected from the Lotus platform toward Chen Sheng.
“This item is the Lakmara secret treasure of our Great Snow Mountain lineage, the Empty Star Cup, will hence be in your charge!”
Chen Sheng held the Empty Star Cup firmly in both hands, his expression solemn, he responded earnestly:
“The disciple will heed the master’s teachings!”
Miao Shan Arhat nodded slightly, his face appeared with a look of reassurance, he softly comforted:
“The master certainly trusts you.”
“Rest for a few days, and then I will summon the monks of the temple to formally hold the ceremonial transition where you will preside over all affairs of the Great Snow Temple.”
…
Years have passed with the changing of seasons.
One morning, as daylight initially unfolded on the snowfield.
Dong——Dong——
The heavy and slow bell toll echoed consecutively, the aftersound buzzed in waves, layers spreading from the ancient temple depths of Great Snow Mountain.
The melodious and heavy Zen sound of rebirth instantly pierced through the entire ice-bound snowfield.
One generation of eminent monk Miao Shan Arhat’s merit had come to completion, gracefully achieving nirvana with a smile.
Looking at the figure sitting on the Lotus platform, Chen Sheng pressed his hands together, lightly reciting Buddhist incantations:
“Master, may you go well on your journey!”
He had already captured a wisp of True Spirit aura, once the master enters samsara for rebirth, he will guide anew with this aura!
