I Can Evolve Spirit Elementals
Chapter 90: A Quiet Night of Growth
Chapter 90: Chapter 90: A Quiet Night of Growth
Damon sat down on the edge of his bed and brought out the Frost Seed.
The small crystal-like seed rested in his palm.
His fingers slowly ran across its cold surface.
Pulse.
A faint icy light moved through it.
Damon smiled.
"So you’re awake."
Another pulse answered him.
Freya and Sylphie had already come out of his second core.
The two spirits stood nearby, watching the Frost Seed carefully.
They both understood what it meant.
A new spirit was about to join them.
Surprisingly, neither showed any hostility.
There was no jealousy.
They already understood their master’s nature.
Damon wanted to become stronger, and if he became stronger, so would they.
Besides...
They were both curious about their new family member.
Damon glanced at them and couldn’t help smiling.
"You two look more excited than I am."
Freya immediately moved closer and rubbed her head against his hand.
Sylphie simply stood beside them, but her eyes remained fixed on the Frost Seed.
Damon chuckled.
"Alright, alright."
He reached out and patted both of them.
For a few moments, the room was peaceful.
Then Damon turned his attention back to the Frost Seed.
He didn’t have much time.
The situation outside could change at any moment.
So he didn’t waste another second.
Damon connected his Aether to his second core.
The moment the connection reached the Frost Seed...
Pulse!
The Frost Seed reacted. Its icy light became brighter.
The response was much stronger than before.
Damon’s eyes narrowed slightly.
"It can already feel it."
The Frost Seed trembled in his hand.
It wasn’t resisting his Aether.
It was accepting it.
More eagerly than before.
Damon smiled.
"Good."
The first step was complete.
Now came the real work.
He brought out several Ice elemental cores and crystals that he had gathered inside the Birthground.
Then he added several Aether crystals beside them.
Normally, Damon would have taken his time.
He would have carefully measured the amount of elemental energy and slowly nurtured the Core Spirit.
But this wasn’t a normal situation.
He needed to get stronger quickly.
And somehow, the Frost Seed seemed to understand that as well.
The moment Damon started feeding it the Ice elemental essence...
Whoosh!
The energy disappeared into the Frost Seed.
Damon blinked.
"That fast?"
He immediately supplied more.
The Frost Seed absorbed it again.
And again.
Its appetite was much greater than Damon expected.
Even Damon was starting to feel surprised.
"You were waiting for this, weren’t you?"
Pulse!
The Frost Seed answered.
Damon laughed quietly.
"I guess we understand each other."
He continued feeding it.
At the same time, Freya and Sylphie weren’t sitting around doing nothing.
They had been watching Damon from the beginning, and they could feel his determination through their connection.
They didn’t know everything that had happened.
They didn’t need to.
They could feel what their master wanted.
He wanted them to become stronger.
And they wanted the same thing.
The playful atmosphere from earlier quickly disappeared.
Damon brought out several elemental fruits and other treasures he had collected during his exploration.
He had gathered quite a lot of Wind elemental resources.
Some had come from the ruins, while others had been taken from elemental users he had defeated.
There was no reason to leave useful resources sitting in his storage.
He still kept the rarest treasures.
But everything suitable for cultivation was going to be used.
"Don’t hold back."
Freya’s eyes immediately lit up.
Sylphie didn’t hesitate either.
The two spirits began absorbing the elemental essence.
Wind energy gathered around Sylphie.
Lightning essence flowed toward Freya.
At the same time, the Frost Seed continued absorbing Ice essence.
Damon pushed his Aether through the connection, trying to match the speed of the Frost Seed.
The pressure on his Aether Pool quickly increased.
But Damon didn’t stop.
His White Core began rotating faster.
The surrounding Aether was pulled toward him, and the energy was quickly refined before being sent toward the spirits.
For a while, the room became a strange mixture of elements.
Lightning.
Wind.
Ice.
Different elements moved at the same time, yet none of them interfered with the others.
Each spirit absorbed what belonged to them.
Damon watched the process carefully.
He was impressed.
Their absorption speed was much faster than he had expected.
More importantly, his own Aether absorption was keeping up.
His White Core continued rotating as more Aether entered his body.
"Looks like all that training wasn’t wasted."
Damon grinned.
He pushed his Aether a little harder.
The Frost Seed responded immediately.
Pulse!
Its icy glow became stronger.
Damon’s expression became serious again.
"Come on."
He continued.
The cultivation session went on.
Minutes passed.
Then more.
The resources around Damon slowly disappeared.
Freya and Sylphie were the first to finish.
Their elemental energy settled inside them as their cultivation stabilized.
Damon immediately opened his second core.
"You two can rest inside."
Freya entered first.
Her body turned into a streak of silver lightning before disappearing into the second core.
Sylphie followed.
But unlike Freya, she didn’t look satisfied.
She wanted more.
Damon could feel it clearly through their connection.
He looked at her and laughed.
"Still impatient?"
Sylphie gave him an indignant look.
"You just evolved recently."
She still wasn’t satisfied.
"I know."
Damon shook his head.
"You’re really determined to reach your weapon form."
Sylphie responded with another sharp pulse of wind.
Damon smiled.
"I’ll help you get there. But don’t rush it."
Sylphie finally settled down.
Freya was much calmer.
She had only recently evolved, so she needed time to consolidate her strength.
Damon wanted her to become more stable before pushing her further.
There was also another reason.
Her weapon arts were still developing.
The stronger she became, the more powerful those techniques would become.
And Damon wanted to learn how far he could take them.
He turned back toward the Frost Seed.
It was still absorbing.
But eventually...
The icy glow began to fade.
Pulse.
Pulse.
Then it became weaker.
Damon stopped supplying Aether.
The Frost Seed had reached its limit for tonight.
"You did well."
