I Can Evolve Spirit Elementals
Chapter 141: Another Evolution
Chapter 141: Chapter 141: Another Evolution
Another pulse spread through the cavern.
This one was stronger.
The ice formations trembled slightly.
The pale blue light flowing through the roots became brighter.
And slowly, the cavern began to change.
It wasn’t dramatic.
There was no sudden explosion of power.
The change was simply becoming harder to ignore.
The air felt cleaner.
The Ice Elemental essence was becoming denser.
The pressure around the Zone Heart was slowly becoming more stable.
Even those without an Ice affinity could sense it.
Shiro immediately closed his eyes.
Snow did the same.
Both of them began cultivating.
They didn’t need Damon to tell them.
They understood what was happening.
This was what Frostveil should have felt like.
Pure Ice Elemental essence.
Stable Aether.
A place where an Ice Spirit Elemental could grow without being poisoned by the corruption surrounding it.
Damon noticed them and smiled.
"Good choice."
He continued the process.
The Spirit Origin was getting faster.
His White Core was pulling in more corrupted Aether.
And the Zone Heart was receiving more purified essence.
For every cycle, another small part of Frostveil became cleaner.
Damon could finally see it.
They weren’t just surviving the mutation anymore.
They were reversing it.
And if he could keep this up...
They might actually be able to save Frostveil.
The process continued for a while.
But Damon eventually had to stop.
Not because he had reached his limit.
Caelia had finally convinced him to take a break.
"You’ve been doing this for too long."
Damon looked at her.
"I’m fine."
"You’ve said that several times."
"And I was fine every time."
Caelia stared at him.
Damon sighed.
"Alright. A short break."
He sat down near the Zone Heart and closed his eyes.
He had to admit that the rest was useful.
The process had been taking more out of him than he expected.
It wasn’t only his body that was getting tired. Keeping control over corrupted Aether again and again had started to wear him down mentally as well.
It was tiring to stay focused for so long without making a mistake.
Damon let himself relax.
His breathing slowly became steady again.
"This is actually nice."
Caelia sat nearby.
"See? Resting isn’t so bad."
Damon opened one eye.
"Don’t get used to being right."
She smiled.
"I’ll take it."
Damon laughed quietly.
The short break helped more than he expected.
His stamina returned, his mind felt clearer, and the pressure that had been building inside him disappeared.
It also gave him another problem.
He felt ready to go even harder.
Caelia noticed the look on his face.
"No."
Damon blinked.
"I haven’t said anything."
"I know that look."
He smiled.
"Then you already know I’m feeling better."
"That’s exactly why I’m worried."
Damon laughed again before turning toward the Zone Heart.
While he rested, Shiro and Snow had continued cultivating.
The place was perfect for them.
The Ice Elemental Aether was becoming purer with every cycle, and for once, they didn’t need Damon to provide everything they needed to grow.
They could cultivate on their own.
And Damon was happy about that.
His spirits becoming stronger didn’t just mean more power for him.
It meant they could eventually stand beside him without always relying on him to push them forward.
That was what he wanted.
Damon looked toward Shiro.
He had already been close to another breakthrough before this.
Now, with the Zone Heart becoming healthier, the opportunity was even better.
And Damon was excited.
Every time one of his spirits grew, he received feedback through their bond.
His Aether capacity increased.
His control improved.
His cultivation became stronger.
But that wasn’t even the part he cared about most.
The Spirit Origin grew too.
Every evolution made it stronger.
Every new spirit gave it more room to develop.
And the stronger the Spirit Origin became, the easier it was for his spirits to grow.
It was a cycle.
They helped him.
He helped them.
And everyone became stronger because of it.
Damon had suspected this for a while, but seeing it happen again made him even more certain.
"This really is getting better and better."
He looked toward Shiro.
Through their bond, Damon could feel the Frost Qilin’s determination.
It was trying to break through.
Hard.
Damon immediately sent a thought through their bond.
Take it slow.
Shiro didn’t respond.
Damon smiled.
I’m serious.
Still nothing.
Damon shook his head.
"Stubborn."
He already knew where that stubbornness came from.
Shiro had always been like this.
His sense of duty had pushed him through his first evolution.
It had made him assist Damon and the others even when he was still weak.
And now that he had another chance to grow stronger, that same determination was showing again.
Damon could feel it clearly.
He didn’t want to stop.
He wanted to become stronger.
Not just for himself.
For Damon.
Damon couldn’t help smiling.
"I know."
He placed a hand against his chest.
"But don’t force it."
The Zone Heart pulsed again.
A larger amount of pure Ice Elemental Aether spread through the cavern.
Shiro absorbed it.
His body suddenly became still.
Damon immediately stopped cultivating.
His eyes focused on Shiro.
"Here we go."
Snow also looked over.
Caelia stood up.
The Frost Qilin’s body began to glow.
Ice Elemental Aether gathered around him and slowly entered his body.
His white fur became even smoother as frost spread across it.
The pale blue markings along his body brightened.
His horns grew longer and thicker, curving backward with sharper crystal tips.
His legs became stronger, and his body grew slightly larger.
His tail lengthened as well, with the blue glow at its end becoming clearer.
But the biggest change wasn’t his size.
It was his presence.
The pressure around Shiro was much stronger now.
Yet it wasn’t wild.
It was calm.
Heavy.
Controlled.
The kind of presence that came from strength he had not fully reached yet, but was steadily approaching.
Damon could feel it through their bond.
Shiro was getting closer to his potential.
Not there yet.
But closer.
