I Can Devour Monsters' SSS Talents
Chapter 437: The Battle for the Seals I
Everyone except Kain had seen strange things from Lian during their time in the Special Area.
They had witnessed his power, they had seen him fight against an army of creatures that were above his own Level.
They knew that in terms of power, none of them could truly be compared to him, this was obvious, and they were not stupid enough to ignore it.
But they had always hoped that maybe they could catch up to him, maybe the First Evolution would be the point where they could finally reach this boy.
Each of them had gained a lot from their First Evolution, which made them truly hopeful again that maybe they could catch up to this monster in human skin.
But now, after hearing that he had been able to fight a Level 30 Fallen, and with his current Level, they understood even more than before how much they had underestimated the difference between them.
This difference was not something they could even think about reaching right now, in the future? Maybe, would they give up on competing with him? Of course not.
But how? How was this boy such a monster? Weren’t they the same age? All of them were among the best of their generation.
So where did this ridiculous and absurd difference come from? Even a genius with a five-star class should not be able to reach such a monstrous level.
They had already wondered before what rank and how many stars this boy’s talent and class had.
And once again, this question appeared in their minds, and this time they could not simply ignore it.
"You know how annoying you look when you talk about a Level 30 Fallen so casually?" Kain noticed the expressions of the others and immediately added this so they would not enter a discussion that his best friend would not like.
"Do you want me to say it was very scary?" Lian shrugged.
"No, because I know you would be lying, anyway, what is your score?"
"I have to check, wait....well, 391."
"Damn." Kain’s expression changed at that moment, he changed the subject but did not expect the new subject to hit him in the face like a slap again.
"You?"
"337, I was really proud of it until you told me your number."
"That is a good number."
"Compared to 391, that doesn’t count as a compliment anymore, what about the rest of you? Please don’t tell me your scores are also crazy like his." He looked at the others, hoping that they would be lower than him.
"I’m 315 too." Rindo opened his score.
"I’m 307, I never thought I would see the day when you could be above me." Seraphina laughed softly, but she realized that Kain had definitely gained something that allowed him to make such a big improvement.
Such a speed of progress and Leveling Up was not something a three-star class should be able to have, so what exactly happened to her cheap friend?
"I’m 291, maybe it is lower than yours but I’m completely happy with it, before this I thought I might even fail the test." Liana said with some satisfaction.
The Silvercrest Gryphon gave a short cry from above them.
Before this test, and before completing her First Evolution, she had been worried that she might really fail the test because she had no summons.
She was a summoner, and without her summons, she could barely fight and lost a large part of her power without them.
"I owe it all to that one, of course, having a summon with the ability to fly isn’t that useful in this test." Liana said while looking at her summon.
"After the test realized that I could scout from the sky or fly, it started creating things that were specifically made to bring it down."
"I’m 302." Cassian also said his score after checking it.
"I feel a little embarrassed, but it seems like I had the lowest score, I got 267." Marcus sighed after hearing their scores.
"If it makes you feel better, my score is 266." Ethan said with a not-so-happy expression, until now he thought he had a very good score.
But after seeing these people, he understood that this was not the case, comparing yourself really kills joy.
Everyone’s eyes fell on Selina, she was the only one who had not said her score.
"What did you get, Selina?" Liana asked curiously, they had not had much time to talk yesterday because each of them had been busy with their First Evolution.
But with the talent of her best friend, she had no doubt that her First Evolution must have gone well too.
"Well, my score is 295." The girl slowly said after seeing everyone looking at her.
"Really? I got higher? Then I won this time! How about you invite the Gryphon to dinner after this? No joke, I don’t think its food is cheap, especially because unlike the previous ones, it doesn’t only feed on Mana."
"The test isn’t over yet, how do you know? Maybe my score will be higher at the end." Selina shrugged and it was obvious that she did not want to pay for that monster’s food.
"Then let’s make a bet, if your score is higher, I will pay for the Gryphon’s food myself, but if my score is higher, you will do it for a year, okay?" Liana asked with a smile.
To buy food for tamed monsters, they only needed to use Student Points, but she did not want to spend them for now.
There was a Skill Book she had wanted to buy for a long time and she needed to save her Student Points, and if she had to pay for the Gryphon’s food too, she could not do that.
"Why should I pay for your summon’s food?" Selina snorted and refused.
Lian raised the corner of his lips, for a moment, he had a strange feeling, in the Special Area, he had seen this group many times at the edge of death.
The people who were now arguing about scores and simulated monsters had faced a Calamity from their own point of view just a few days ago.
But one person was not here and thinking about her made him unconsciously miss her.
’Did I really just miss that girl?’ Even he felt surprised and shook his head to get these thoughts out of his mind.
"Enough with the random discussions, we are getting close to the Seals, get yourselves ready." Rindo said seriously after seeing their stupid discussion.
