Chapter 511: Chapter 311: Need Help?

But the strange thing was, whether they resisted him in their hearts or submitted on the surface, as long as they continued to follow Yuwen, their own strength would still improve. Yet, the moment the thought of leaving arose, their martial will would waver.

When Yu Fei appeared on the battlefield, seemingly possessing the strength to challenge Yuwen, a desire inevitably grew in their hearts.

’Could Yu Wen Baji possibly lose to Yu Fei?’

The members of the Brotherhood couldn’t help but think of this question.

’If Yuwen really loses to Yu Fei, who’s two years his junior...’

At the mere thought of this potential outcome, the mental shackles of Yu Wen Baji’s invincibility seemed to loosen, giving rise to a sliver of anticipation within them.

His Sword Qi streaking like a weaver’s shuttle, Yu Fei crossed the Grandmasters’ domain-lines in an instant. With a wave of his hand, he unleashed countless Sword Qi, and a brilliant sword-lotus bloomed in the center of the Origin Devils.

The endless Sword Qi shredded the six Origin Devils at the forefront, who had no time to dodge, grinding them to dust before they vaporized and vanished.

His figure then flickered continuously, clusters of sword-lotuses exploding like fireworks. And amidst this beautiful spectacle, an Origin Devil’s death was sure to follow.

The killing power of his boundless Sword Qi was on the level of a Grandmaster. A single strand might not threaten an Origin Devil, but when they numbered in the tens of thousands, blotting out the sky, there was simply no escape.

Among the torrent were ink-blue sword blades carrying a lethal killing intent; contact meant instant death.

Yet the Origin Devils could not perceive or see Yu Fei at all. As sword-lotuses bloomed across the battlefield, he could appear anywhere, making him impossible to track.

He was above and below, to the east and to the west—everywhere and nowhere at once.

The moment an enemy saw him and raised their weapon, he would already have vanished, leaving behind only a terrifying sea of Sword Qi for them to scramble against.

His blades could strike from anywhere at any time. Had a human army faced such an overwhelmingly unfair method of attack, they would have broken long ago.

Unfortunately, the Origin Devils were anything but normal life forms. They would fight until every last one was slain, maintaining an unyielding will to fight from start to finish, fearless and forever calm.

The Grandmasters who had been surrounding the enemy’s flanks initially wanted to coordinate with Yu Fei, but they soon discovered it was no use.

All they had to do was deploy their domains, trapping the Origin Devils in layers and preventing their escape. Yu Fei’s killing speed was far greater than theirs, and they didn’t even have to worry about accidentally injuring him.

Threatened, the 7th-rank Origin Devil troops had no choice but to unleash their full power, blanketing every corner of the battlefield with attacks. Unfortunately for them, they lacked the domain abilities of a Grandmaster. While their assault looked immense, it was riddled with openings, and their power was completely unfocused.

Yu Fei merely had to summon an endless vortex of Sword Qi around himself, and it was enough to shatter any of their attacks.

After about half an hour of this frenzied slaughter, even Yu Fei, with his near-inexhaustible stamina and Inner Qi, felt a trace of fatigue.

There were simply too many enemies. The amount of Gang Qi Yu Fei had consumed up to this point was easily over a hundred times that of an ordinary Martial Artist.

Yu Fei didn’t rest. He merely slowed the pace of his assault slightly. Gang Qi generated continuously within his body, and in just a moment, he was fully recovered.

As the number of 7th-rank Origin Devils dropped below two hundred, they found it even more difficult to cope with Yu Fei’s attacks.

On the battlefield above, Wei Mo and the others were desperately intercepting 8th-rank Origin Devils. The situation was turning against them, and the creatures were trying to retreat.

Yu Fei left this battlefield for the Grandmasters to handle and turned to plunge into the fray with Wei Mo and the others.

As for Yu Wen Baji, Yu Fei had no intention of being the one to free him up so quickly.

With numerous Grandmasters leading the charge, dealing with these 8th-rank Origin Devils became a much more relaxed affair.

He started by flooding the field with his boundless Sword Qi. While it posed little threat, it served to make the 8th-rank Origin Devils even more agitated.

They weren’t fools. Anyone with even a little combat experience watching this battle could see that Yu Fei’s teleportation ability was intrinsically linked to his Sword Qi.

But knowing this and being able to do something about it were two different things entirely.

His boundless Sword Qi was generated by a combination of his divine soul and innate talent, augmented by a mental Secret Technique and the Returning Ruins Realm Sword within his Qi Sea.

This Sword Qi was generated by a mere thought, and its sheer quantity was so astonishing that there was no way to stop its creation.

Wei Mo was now fighting with extra fervor. The young man before him was a suspected combat squad leader of the Yulin Army who had never before shown his face. More importantly, he could slay 8th-rank Origin Devils with Gang Qi. His strength and potential were terrifying. A single Yu Wen Baji already had Wei Mo under his thumb; if this young man decided to hold him accountable for failing in his duty as a protector, he feared the consequences would be dire.

Even before Yu Fei’s arrival, they had been able to suppress the 8th-rank Origin Devils. With him joining the fight, the battle became even easier.

Grandmaster Martial Artists relied on the power of their domains for various compound effects: strengthening themselves, weakening enemies, channeling worldly energy, and enhancing the power of their techniques. At the Grandmaster level, being within one’s domain carried a sense of being the sovereign of that small patch of heaven and earth.

Yu Fei noticed that the 8th-rank Origin Devils caught within these domains were suppressed and weakened even more significantly.

Wei Mo’s cyan-gold long-saber slashed down, its boundless icy aura held in perfect check. Even from a great distance, Yu Fei could feel a hint of discomfort.

The energies within his Great Sun Glaze Body flared, expelling the chill that had passively seeped into him.

The 8th-rank Origin Devil beneath his blade barely blocked the strike, and rime instantly formed on its arms, drastically reducing its speed.

Although a more powerful energy reaction immediately erupted from within its body, purging the power of the Ice Domain in an instant, the delay to its movements was unavoidable.

Suddenly, an ink-blue sword blade flashed past. The Origin Devil’s head, a size larger than a normal human’s, went flying. Wisps of milky-white liquid had barely been exposed to the air before they began to vaporize. Its body then seemed to undergo some strange reaction, rapidly atomizing from the inside out and vanishing. All that remained in the air was a faint, pleasant aroma, almost like some kind of botanical incense.
