Chapter 508: Chapter 310: Changing Hearts, Purging Demons

Yu Fei was much more in his element on this battlefield.

The vast airspace was his to command. His aura saturated the battlefield, allowing Yu Fei to appear anywhere.

Even though the two 8th-order Yuan Devils attacked ferociously, they couldn’t even touch the hem of his clothes.

Farther away, a group of 7th-order Yuan Devils arrived late. They seemed to want to bypass him, get past Yu Fei, and directly attack the Celestial Pride Class.

Yu Fei paid close attention. He noticed there were no electromagnetic fluctuations between the 8th-order and 7th-order Yuan Devils. After a burst of attacks temporarily repelled Yu Fei, the zither-wielding Yuan Devil issued an extremely short command.

The voice was like a lone orchid in an empty valley—surprisingly beautiful to the ear.

The Yuan Devils had their own system of linguistic communication, but unfortunately, the human side had not yet cracked their language.

Once he confirmed there were no electromagnetic interactions between them, he immediately made his move.

If he let this group of 7th-order Yuan Devils pass, Feng Hua and the others could handle them, but it would be quite dangerous. It was likely someone would end up injured or killed.

He wasn’t willing to take the risk. The creatures were about to leave after receiving their orders, but unfortunately for them, they were already within Yu Fei’s teleportation range.

He abruptly increased the frequency of his attacks. In the span of a single breath, he unleashed dozens of slashes at the two Yuan Devils from every angle. The pair immediately scrambled to defend themselves, lashing out wildly in all directions like rabid dogs.

Seizing the opportunity, Yu Fei’s figure flickered and reappeared amidst the troop of 7th-order Yuan Devils.

Endless Sword Qi erupted, each strand following a subtle trajectory, weaving together in a coordinated dance. It was like a grand lotus of swords blooming into existence.

But this beautiful scene concealed a lethal threat.

The 7th-order Yuan Devils were far inferior to the 8th-order ones in terms of reaction speed, energy fluctuations, and physical defense.

Even if they could withstand the shredding Sword Qi, they were still taken by the elusive, ink-blue blade, vaporizing and disappearing within the Sword Qi. The sight was, surprisingly, somewhat beautiful.

The Yuan Devils had fine features and handsome, tall figures. As they vanished into gas within the ever-blooming sword lotuses, it was as if they were ascending to immortality. No wonder they were called a royal race.

Although Yu Fei had acted with extreme speed, a few 7th-order Yuan Devils still escaped. He didn’t give chase. These lucky few were outside his Teleportation Field and beyond his attack range. Besides, there were only a handful of them; Feng Hua and his team could easily take care of them.

He sent a quick warning through the mental network, then turned back to continue suppressing the two 8th-order Yuan Devils.

The two covered for each other, making it difficult for him to land a killing blow for the time being.

In the distance, Yu Wen Baji and Wang Kai were keeping a close eye on the battlefield. Two 8th-order Yuan Devils and dozens of 7th-order ones—if a force like that had attacked Feng Hua and the others without any opposition, it was doubtful any of them would have survived.

So when they saw Yu Fei intercept the two 8th-order devils and then slaughter dozens of 7th-order ones in an instant, both of them were involuntarily stunned.

Yu Wen Baji could never have imagined that Yu Fei possessed such a miraculous teleportation ability, and his brow furrowed unconsciously. As a Grandmaster prodigy, supported by over thirty members of the Brotherhood and a host of stacked sensory Secret Techniques, he could see the distant battlefield with perfect clarity.

’That dazzling teleportation, those elusive blades, and that endless Sword Qi... with those three things combined, how could I possibly win? At the very least, I couldn’t stop him from leaving! With such a powerful and infuriatingly versatile teleportation ability, he’s Innately invincible. What kind of Body Technique could possibly catch up to someone who can teleport? The crucial part is, according to my senses, he isn’t even a Grandmaster yet. If his realm advances further, how am I supposed to deal with him? He’s a huge problem, no matter how I look at it.’ ℴ

Yuwen grew anxious. He realized the situation had completely spiraled out of his control.

Wei Mo and the others received an update on the battle from Wang Kai. Learning that Feng Hua’s group was safe, that ninety percent of the attacking 7th-order Yuan Devils had been wiped out, and that the two 8th-order ones had been intercepted, their worries vanished. They returned to their previous, stable rhythm of attack.

Every move and stance was steady and cautious, never reckless.

Hong Chou glanced at the three old geezers beside him and fumed internally. Unfortunately, there was nothing he could do. As Jee Yang’s second-in-command, he had thrown his lot in with Yuwen and naturally hoped Yuwen’s position would be solidified by winning this battle.

But he was just an ordinary Grandmaster. The title sounded impressive, but his contribution to the overall battle was minimal.

Yu Fei was unaware of all this. For certain reasons he couldn’t openly state, he hadn’t initiated contact with the mental network on Yu Wen Baji’s main battlefield, and they hadn’t contacted him either.

A long defense is bound to fail. After frequently unleashing high-power techniques, the two 8th-order Yuan Devils’ attack rhythm began to show a slight lag.

They had no choice. Faced with Yu Fei’s high-frequency attacks, even minor injuries would become unbearable over time.

Suddenly, the female Yuan Devil who used zither notes as her weapon was a fraction of a second too late with her technique.

The two had been alternating their cover, buying each other time to recover their energy.

But this time, for some reason, she was a hair too late, and the coordination with the other Yuan Devil faltered.

In that instant, Yu Fei’s figure appeared all around the other devil. His ink-blue blade, suffused with brutal killing intent, plunged into its heart.

The energy signature was strongest there, marking it as one of its vital points.

With the strike successful, Yu Fei took an immense risk. He shielded himself with boundless Sword Qi to briefly ward off the other 8th-order Yuan Devil’s attack, then brazenly closed the distance and unleashed countless flashes of his sword, slaying his target in an instant.

However, the moment it died, Yu Fei detected an unprecedented stream of electromagnetic waves transferring to the other 8th-order Yuan Devil.
