I Built a Divine Zoo in Another World
Chapter 167: Lukas’s Awakening (3)
Lukas continued staring at the transparent window before his eyes. The screen floated within that white world, its edges glowing softly with a light that seemed to come from within itself.
The names Tilbo, Prata, and Astra remained motionless, accompanied by the abilities he had received from each of them.
A question immediately arose in his mind, a curiosity that burned within his chest like a flame.
’I want to understand better...’
The very instant that thought appeared, the window changed on its own. The letters vanished as though they had never existed, and new information began to appear in their place, as if that strange place could understand his thoughts before he had even fully formed them.
The words materialized before his eyes, forming sentences with a precision that seemed almost miraculous. Every character was sharp, clear, and impossible to ignore.
His eyes settled on the first ability, the one he knew and used the most.
[Enhanced Strength]
A new description appeared, more detailed than before.
[Enhanced Strength]
[Your body possesses physical strength equivalent to fifteen times your own body weight. This is not temporary magical strength but a permanent enhancement to your muscular structure.]
[This strength grows naturally as your body becomes stronger. The more you train, the more your muscle mass develops, and the greater your ability to lift and push objects becomes.]
[This ability exclusively enhances your muscular strength without directly increasing speed, endurance, or recovery. You may be strong, but you will need to train other aspects to become a complete combatant.]
[Origin: Tilbo. This ability was acquired through your affinity with the giant ant.]
Lukas stared at those words for several seconds, allowing every detail to settle into his mind. Then he smiled.
He finally understood. Ever since he had met Tilbo, he had always realized that he possessed absurd strength for someone his age. He had managed to lift enormous rocks that other adults could barely move. He had broken things that no ordinary person could have broken. He moved logs that grown adults could barely push.
He had already suspected it was because of Tilbo, but now, seeing it confirmed so clearly and objectively before his eyes, felt reassuring. There were no more doubts, no more speculation.
Now he knew the truth. All of it came from Tilbo. His very first friend in that world, the little ant he had met so early in his life, had gifted him an extraordinary ability.
"Thank you..." Even though he knew Tilbo could not hear him, Lukas murmured those words sincerely. It was gratitude that came from the bottom of his heart.
Then he turned his attention to the second ability.
The moment he thought about it, the information changed again, the screen transforming before his eyes.
[Silver Threads]
[You are capable of producing silver threads using mana. This is a process that requires concentration and control but becomes increasingly natural with practice.]
[The threads possess exceptional durability, great flexibility, and excellent mana conductivity. They can be used for a wide variety of purposes, from binding targets to channeling energy.]
[Your control depends upon the amount of mana available, your mental precision, and your training. The more you practice, the finer and more precise your threads can become.]
[Origin: Prata. This ability was acquired through your affinity with the venomous silver-thread spider.]
Lukas let out a small laugh, a sound of recognition and satisfaction. This ability he knew very well. For months, he had produced silver threads to sell, working tirelessly to perfect his technique.
Thanks to them, he had managed to earn an astonishing amount of money for someone his age. A true fortune that now rested inside his chest, waiting for the right moment to be used.
Moreover, it was an extremely versatile ability. He could swing between trees like an acrobat, creating paths that no one else could follow.
He could weave webs to capture prey or protect his companions. He could bind enemies with invisible threads. He could build objects, weave structures, and create traps.
The more he learned to use it, the more possibilities he discovered. Every training session revealed another application, another way to make use of that extraordinary ability.
"Prata..." His smile widened, warming his face. The little spider, no longer quite so little, had truly given him an extraordinary gift.
Finally, only one remained. Astra’s ability.
As soon as he focused his thoughts upon it, new words appeared, filling the screen with detailed information.
[Eagle Vision]
[Your eyes possess extraordinary visual perception, far beyond what an ordinary human could naturally achieve.]
[You can perceive tiny details from great distances without any significant loss of clarity. Objects that would appear blurred to others remain sharp and distinct to you.]
[Your dynamic perception is enhanced, allowing you to follow fast-moving objects with far greater ease. You can see what others cannot and notice what others overlook.]
[Your vision possesses exceptional focusing ability, target recognition, and spatial awareness. You can track multiple targets simultaneously and judge distances with superhuman precision.]
[Origin: Astra. This ability was acquired through your affinity with the daytime eagle.]
Lukas breathed slowly, allowing the words to settle into his mind. Even though he had already been using that ability every day, reading its description stirred a different feeling. It was like fully understanding something he had previously used only by instinct, like finally grasping how a tool he had always relied upon actually worked.
His eyesight truly was terrifying. He could observe people from hundreds of meters away, recognizing faces and expressions that others could barely distinguish as blurry figures. He noticed tiny movements, the smallest details that would escape the attention of any ordinary person.
He found hidden trails within the forest, following tracks invisible to everyone else. He noticed details imperceptible to ordinary people, patterns within nature that revealed the presence of animals or hidden dangers.
Combined with his strength and his Silver Threads, the ability became even more dangerous. He could spot an enemy before being seen himself, move with absolute precision, and strike where no one expected.
A thought immediately surfaced, a realization that illuminated his mind like a bolt of lightning.
’This ability...’
His eyes returned to the Affinity panel, where the names of his companions still glowed.
Then everything finally fell into place. Like the pieces of a puzzle that had always been there, waiting to be fitted together.
