I Break through Crazily

Chapter 316 - 315: Giant’s Resurrection? Mysterious Black Shadow?

  • Next Chapter

Within the Little Extreme Sacred Land, all the candidates gazed at the pitch-black sky, looks of confusion on their faces.

A few days ago, when Tang Yi had used the Ice Seal of Ten Thousand Miles, he had caused the weather to change once. This time, however, another weather change was triggered simply because a few drops of blood had splattered onto the skeletal giant!

The sky turned completely dark, and the atmosphere became incredibly terrifying.

Moreover, the last time Tang Yi had merely turned the sky black, and the overwhelming pressure of the Heaven Tier Martial Technique had been confined to a small area.

Now, however, the entire Little Extreme Sacred Land was plunged into darkness. Everyone felt a chilling presence and an unbearably powerful pressure that made them tremble!

Even from far away, this immense pressure made the candidates tremble uncontrollably, drenched in sweat and struggling to endure.

"Hm?"

The moment Tang Yi felt that presence and pressure, he frowned. He quickly flew down, landing in front of the giant cross.

He could feel that the entire presence and all of the pressure emanated from the skeletal giant nailed to the cross!

Standing near the cross, the presence and pressure Tang Yi felt were even more immense, even more palpable!

However, Tang Yi’s current strength and resistance had both improved dramatically. He had considerable tolerance for this presence and pressure, so he wasn’t greatly affected.

Meanwhile, as the presence and pressure intensified, the signs of life emanating from the skeletal giant on the cross actually grew stronger as well.

"Hasn’t he been dead for ages? How...?"

Watching the giant’s signs of life intensify, Tang Yi was deeply puzzled. ’A corpse that’s been dead for countless years is actually showing signs of life? Is this some kind of joke?’

But what he found even more unbelievable was... it was one thing for the corpse to show signs of life, but a moment later, the giant’s eyelids actually twitched, as if it were about to awaken.

’It’s... alive?’

’A corpse that’s been dead for ages actually came back to life?’

’How is that possible!’

Tang Yi stared intently at the giant on the cross, wanting to see if he was truly alive. If he was, it would be nothing short of miraculous.

After a long moment, as the signs of life on the giant grew ever stronger, he finally, truly opened his eyes! They flashed with a piercing gaze. He was really alive!

WHOOSH!

The instant the giant opened his eyes, a gale howled and rubble flew. A circular shockwave composed of energy erupted from his body, spreading in all directions until it washed over the entire Little Extreme Sacred Land.

The powerful presence and terrifying pressure radiating from the giant became even more dreadful—several times more powerful than before.

However, this terrifying presence and pressure only lasted for the blink of an eye. The shockwave washed over the Little Extreme Sacred Land without causing any harm to the candidates before vanishing.

Everything fell silent once more, returning to how it was, as if nothing had happened.

The only difference was that a giant who had been dead for centuries had opened his eyes!

"This..."

Tang Yi’s mouth hung open in disbelief. Staring at the giant, who was glaring back at him with enormous eyes, he didn’t know what to say.

"Boy, was it you who revived me? Since you did, why haven’t you freed me from this cross?" After opening his eyes and seeing Tang Yi was the only one around, the giant fixed his enormous eyes on him and spoke in a deep voice.

The giant’s mouth didn’t seem to move, yet his voice echoed from all directions, reverberating long after he spoke.

"Revive you? No, it wasn’t me. As for saving you... I’ve heard the ancestors of the West Mansion were the ones who imprisoned you here. And while I haven’t officially joined the West Mansion yet, I’m as good as one of them now. So, I can’t possibly save you," Tang Yi said.

"You’re with the West Mansion?" The giant’s voice turned chilling.

"You could say that," Tang Yi answered candidly.

"Hmph!"

The giant let out a cold snort. His deep voice rumbled, "Since you know of the grudge between me and the West Mansion, you still dare to claim you’re with them. Aren’t you afraid I’ll kill you?"

"Kill me? You can’t even get down from there. How are you going to kill me?" Tang Yi said with a laugh, completely unconcerned by the giant’s threat.

The giant might have revived, but every joint, from his ankles to his skull, was pinned to the cross by massive spikes. To get down, he would have to remove all of them. He couldn’t even move, let alone get down. How could he possibly kill anyone?

And while the giant’s presence was powerful, his body was shriveled, his face was pale, and his spirit seemed listless. In his current state, just coming back to life was a miracle. Removing the spikes? Killing someone?

’What a joke,’

Besides, the cross and those massive spikes didn’t look like ordinary objects. How could they be easy to remove? Even if the giant were at his peak, he might not be able to get rid of them.

"Who said I can’t get down?"

The giant said something Tang Yi couldn’t comprehend.

"Hm?"

Tang Yi looked at the giant, confused.

’He can get down?’

’If he can get down, why did he ask me for help earlier?’

But before Tang Yi could think any further, the giant shot him one last cold glare with its enormous eyes and slowly closed them.

Once again, everything fell silent.

At the same time, after the giant closed his eyes, the signs of life Tang Yi had sensed from him began to slowly fade until they vanished completely.

’Dead again?’

’First, he bursts with vitality, but then he sees he can’t get down, so the giant just... commits suicide?’

To confirm whether the giant on the cross was still alive, Tang Yi focused his senses again and even used his Celestial Eye Technique to investigate. The results were consistent with his judgment: the giant was dead again!

’This whole bizarre scene left Tang Yi completely baffled. He couldn’t understand what had just happened. Out of nowhere, the giant revives, says a few words, and then just... dies again?’

’What the hell was that?’

’Did this giant die with so many regrets that he had to come back just to say a few words? And once he’s done, he just reports back to the Underworld?’

’Is he crazy or something?’

Tang Yi grumbled to himself.

Just then, however, a black shadow shot toward Tang Yi at incredible speed.

Because he had opened the Six Spirits Gate, Tang Yi’s hearing was exceptionally sharp. As he stared blankly at the giant on the cross, he thought he heard something. A bad feeling immediately welled up inside him, and alarm bells went off in his head.

His eyes darted to the side. Tang Yi saw that the source of his alarm was a shadow. This black shadow was moving with extreme speed, and it radiated a dangerous aura.

Yes, an aura of danger!

Tang Yi could feel that this black shadow was a threat to him!

Shocked, Tang Yi scrambled to react. But the black shadow was simply too fast. In the blink of an eye, it was already behind him. It was too late to dodge or turn and counterattack...
