I Break through Crazily
Chapter 308 307: Just an Examinee
Seeing Tang Yi staring wide-eyed at the brocade box with a look of surprise, Hex Anmin frowned. 'Does this person actually know about the Saint Spirit Blood?' he wondered.
'That's impossible, right?'
Hex Anmin had been dispatched on this mission and had to bring back the Saint Spirit Blood. However, all he knew was that the Saint Spirit Blood was extremely precious—it was the Heart's Blood of a Saint and possessed immense Power. As for what to do with it after obtaining it, Hex Anmin had no idea. The upper echelons of the Heaven-Devouring Sect hadn't told him.
But this North District examinee before him seemed to know exactly what it was. First, he looked surprised, and then a wave of ecstasy washed over him. It was obvious he understood the item's value and knew how to use it!
Of course, regardless of whether this North District examinee knew the uses of the Saint Spirit Blood, Hex Anmin was going to take it back! This was their mission. How could he let some unexpected interloper ruin their plans?
"If I'm not mistaken, you must be the examinee who ranked second on the West Mansion Outer Mansion's leaderboard, right?" Hex Anmin said, glancing at Tang Yi.
"What if I am? And what if I'm not?" Tang Yi replied.
"So it seems you are. Impressive. You really have some skills. Before entering the Little Extreme Sacred Land, I had a feeling you would be an obstacle to our mission, and I was right! But listen, friend, I advise you to hand over the brocade box to us quickly. Do that, and we'll leave your corpse intact. Otherwise... hehe." Hex Anmin narrowed his eyes, his voice dripping with menace.
"I, Tang Yi, have never returned anything I've obtained. This brocade box... If you have the guts, why don't you come and take it back?" Tang Yi said lightly. A smile remained on his face, completely unfazed by Hex Anmin's threat.
"Is that so? You're quite confident. But overconfidence is just arrogance. From what I can see, your strength is only around that of a Battle King. We have over twenty men here, and every single one of us is a Battle King. Do you really think you're a match for us?" Hex Anmin retorted.
"We'll see if I'm a match for you once we fight. If I weren't, why would you be wasting your breath? You'd just come and take it," Tang Yi sneered, his tone full of disdain.
"Hmph. I asked you to hand it over because I thought you had some skill. But since you insist on doing this the hard way, I'll be happy to oblige!" Hex Anmin's face darkened. He pointed to two Heaven-Devouring Sect disciples and ordered, "You two, go test him. Get that box back for me!"
"Yes, sir!"
Upon hearing the order, the two Heaven-Devouring Sect disciples acknowledged it and walked toward Tang Yi.
"Kid, I suggest you be smart about this and hand over the box yourself. If you do, we'll be 'gentle' and leave you with a whole corpse. Otherwise... hmph, you know the consequences!" one of the disciples threatened as he steadily approached Tang Yi.
"The two of us are both One-star Battle Kings. Even though you managed to get second place on the West Mansion Outer Mansion's leaderboard as a mere examinee, which means you must have Battle King Level strength, you... are no match for us! A self-taught Battle King versus those of us who are... Anyway, just hand over the box. We'll make sure you have a clean death!" the other disciple added, nearly letting slip that they were from the Heaven-Devouring Sect.
"So noisy. If you're going to attack, then attack. Why all the useless chatter?" Tang Yi said impatiently.
Hearing Tang Yi's words, the two Heaven-Devouring Sect disciples felt looked down upon, as if he didn't take them seriously at all. They were furious.
SHING! With a clear ring, the two drew their longswords. Gripping their weapons, they angrily accelerated toward Tang Yi.
'How dare he look down on us? He's courting death! We'll cut this brat to pieces!'
However, as the two Heaven-Devouring Sect disciples rushed over with their sharp weapons, Tang Yi paid them no mind. There wasn't a hint of tension on his face. He didn't even draw a Weapon to brace for their attack. He just stood there, relaxed and at ease, waiting for the two to come and offer up their lives.
Tang Yi had killed hundreds, if not a thousand, people. The number of Battle Kings he had slain was countless, and he had even killed a Battle Emperor. Now, two mere One-star Battle Kings wanted to take him on? They were just serving themselves up on a platter, delivering free Experience Value.
Just as the two Heaven-Devouring Sect disciples reached him and were about to strike, Tang Yi grinned. He casually extended a finger, and two beams of light shot out from its tip.
"Six Yang Rejuvenation Finger!"
WHOOSH WHOOSH!
Why use two strikes when one is enough to kill an enemy?
The Six Yang Rejuvenation Finger was originally capable of firing six beams of light, making it extremely powerful.
At this moment, however, Tang Yi only fired two beams of light toward the two Heaven-Devouring Sect disciples. Instantly, before they even had time to react, the disciples were pierced through by the light.
In the blink of an eye, two thumb-sized holes appeared between their eyebrows.
They had just reached Tang Yi, not even having had the chance to do anything, when their eyes went wide in disbelief and they collapsed to the ground.
They died without even knowing how!
An instant kill!
They were dead before they even understood what had happened!
"I'll leave your corpses intact, too. Now hurry up and come meet your end!" After killing the two disciples, Tang Yi turned to Hex Anmin and the others and issued his challenge.
"..."
"This..."
"What just happened?! What were those beams of light?"
"A hidden weapon? Impossible! They were both at the Battle King Level. How could a hidden weapon kill them?!"
"What kind of Martial Technique was that? It can instantly kill even Battle King Level experts like us!"
"Damn it, this kid is strange!"
Seeing Tang Yi kill two Battle King Level Martial Artists with just a flick of his finger and two beams of light, the other Heaven-Devouring Sect disciples who had come with Hex Anmin were terrified. They stared at Tang Yi, their eyes filled with shock, finding the scene utterly unbelievable.
"Captain Hex..." Seeing how formidable Tang Yi was, someone looked questioningly at Hex Anmin, wanting to know what they should do next.
"I see it," Hex Anmin replied, his brows knitting together tightly.
Ever since Tang Yi had snatched the brocade box from his hands, Hex Anmin knew that his strength was not to be underestimated. But he never imagined Tang Yi would be this powerful. To casually kill two Battle Kings in an instant—not even he, Hex Anmin, could accomplish such a feat!
'It seems his second-place rank on the West Mansion Outer Mansion's leaderboard doesn't reflect this person's true strength!'
'It's so strange. He's just an examinee, so how can he be this strong? With this kind of power, he could easily enter the West Mansion Inner Mansion, right? Why is he still acting as an examinee?'
"Who exactly are you?" Hex Anmin asked Tang Yi again after a moment of thought.
"Me?"
Hearing the question, Tang Yi smiled faintly. "Heh, so that you can die without regrets, I'll tell you. My name is Tang Yi. I don't have any special status. I'm just an examinee about to enter the West Mansion."
