Chapter 446: SVOP: Chapter 446

In this world, there are countless islands floating in the sky, and many nations have formed there.

Unlike people living on the surface, the defining feature of sky dwellers is the pair of small wings growing from their backs.

These winged people are actually descendants of the Moon Race. Long ago, when energy resources on the Moon were depleted, they migrated down to this planet — known to them as the Blue Planet.

The exact date of their arrival is lost to history, but one thing is certain: there are still people living on the Moon to this day.

"Back when the Holy Teach Pirates sent out their distress signal, I infused that Pegasus Knight with Holy Light, intending to use it as a beacon. But nine years have passed; that light has long since burned through its energy, and the signal I’m picking up now is incredibly faint."

In just over a minute, Vladimir had soared to an altitude of ten thousand meters.

He tried to locate the beacon, but the feedback was too weak. He had a rough direction, but no way to judge the exact distance.

"I’ll just have to pick a heading and do a thorough search."

With that, Vladimir locked onto a direction and accelerated forward.

That search took him five full days.

He flew all the way from the skies above the New World, toward the Red Line, even passing directly over the Holy Land Mary Geoise.

Finally, after five days, amidst the endless expanse of the White-White Sea, he spotted a magnificent and mysterious island.

It floated atop layers of clouds. Unlike land-based islands, it had no soil or rock — its very substance was formed from solidified white clouds.

The island was structured like a layered cake, divided into three tiers.

The lowest tier was the largest; the middle tier was slightly smaller. At the very top stood a palace constructed entirely of gold, gleaming with imposing grandeur.

At the entrance leading to the island stood a massive gate made of white clouds.

Hanging above the gate was a plaque inscribed with three words: The Divine Kingdom of the Skies.

"So this isn’t Enel’s old ’Land of Gods’ — it’s an entirely different nation. The beacon is leading me right here; I must be in the right place."

Vladimir darted toward the gate.

Passing through, he entered the Divine Kingdom. He retracted his wings and descended directly onto the lowest tier.

Near the entrance, there was a dock area where ships could moor. There, Vladimir spotted a Marine warship.

Besides that, there were also several pirate ships and sailing vessels flying no flag at all.

Leaving the ’port’, he walked deeper into the island. At the center stood a massive, circular building also made of cloud-material.

This structure connected the lower tier to the tier above; for ordinary citizens, it was the only way to reach the middle level.

"Lower, Middle, Upper... a strict hierarchy indeed."

Vladimir pulled his hood low over his head and walked casually down the street.

Every resident here had wings — small, white pairs that were purely decorative and useless for flight.

To them, someone like Vladimir was clearly an outsider, and he was met with wary, suspicious glances wherever he went.

As he walked, a sudden commotion broke out ahead.

A group of men who looked unmistakably like pirates came running frantically toward him. Right on their heels was a squad of soldiers clad in polished silver armor, giving chase.

"It’s the Divine Soldiers!"

"Are they expelling outsiders again?"

"Hmph. These ’Blue-Sea People’ have no respect for our laws. I don’t know why the Saintess even allows them into the kingdom!"

The locals whispered among themselves, their tone full of hostility.

Vladimir raised an eyebrow. "So I was right. There really is a Saintess here. I need to capture one of these soldiers and ask exactly where she lives."

Just then, the pirates ahead shouted loudly at him.

"Hey brother! You’re from the Blue Sea too, right? Give us a hand! These ’Divine Soldiers’ are completely unreasonable — they just won’t let us be!"

The leader was a man in his mid-twenties, dressed in revealing clothes and wearing a jester’s hat.

He ran with a comical, stumbling gait. Upon seeing Vladimir, he immediately called out for help.

"Hmph! Intruders! Surrender at once!"

One of the pursuers thrust his spear forward. Instantly, a massive pillar of fire erupted like a raging dragon, roaring straight toward them.

"Dammit!" The pirate cursed. "If you’re so tough, stop using a Flame Shell and fight me bare-handed! See who comes out on top!"

Shouting this, the man suddenly swerved and ducked behind Vladimir for cover.

"Listen, brother! We’re both from the Blue Sea, we gotta stick together! The armor these guys are wearing is worth a fortune! Let’s take ’em out and split the loot fifty-fifty, yeah?"

Vladimir was speechless. This guy is actually thinking about stealing their armor? No wonder they’re being hunted.

"The Saintess was right... you Blue-Sea People are nothing but greedy savages!"

The spearman missed his target, but sneered coldly. He leveled his weapon and aimed it directly at Vladimir and the pirate. "Spear Flash!"

As he shouted, a blinding golden light gathered at the spear’s tip. With a sharp whoosh, it fired a beam of laser energy straight at them.

"A Flash Shell?!" The pirate’s face paled. "Why does a grunt like you have such a rare Shell?!"

Vladimir was slightly surprised. Sky Islands had many types of Dials, but the Flash Shell was exceptionally rare.

The laser it fired was almost identical in nature to the power wielded by Admiral Kizaru.

"Die, you intruder from the Blue Sea!"

The soldier thrust the spear again, turning the power of the Flash Shell to its maximum output.

A beam of light as thick as a man’s arm shot straight at them.

Vladimir simply raised his hand, fingers spread, and grasped the air casually.

BOOM!!

The terrifying, destructive golden light vanished instantly, snuffed out by that single, gentle motion.

"Wh-What?!?"

The soldier froze, staring blankly at Vladimir. A moment later, his expression shifted from shock to pure awe. He dropped to his knees instantly.

"Lord Divine General!"

"...Huh?"

Vladimir blinked. "Divine General?"

"Divine General?"
