I Became the Rich Second-Generation Villain
Chapter 530
Lin Mo froze for a long moment at the reactions of Ling Duanya and her team, then immediately lashed out in anger.
“That bastard is rotten to the core! Justice? My ass!”
Ling Duanya frowned faintly, but as professionals, neither she nor her colleagues argued with him.
“You seem to have some history with this Wang Haoran,” she said mildly. “Let’s hear it.”
Lin Mo gave a vague summary of the conflicts between him and Wang Haoran—things like classroom arguments and basketball court scuffles.
As the officers listened and took notes, they couldn’t help but find it all a bit ridiculous. These petty squabbles hardly sounded like a motive for such a brutal attack.
Maybe if Lin Mo had just been beaten up, suspicion could fall on Wang Haoran. But this? This was on another level entirely.
Still, with no evidence to the contrary, they kept their thoughts to themselves.
Ling Duanya asked about the attacker’s appearance, but Lin Mo could only give a rough description of his build—something so generic that it could apply to half the men on the street.
The attacker struck at night, with poor lighting, wearing a mask, and moved swiftly. Lin Mo hadn’t even gotten a good look before he was taken down. With nothing else to go on, the officers left to inspect the scene and check nearby surveillance footage.
The room fell quiet again.
But not for long.
Moments later, the door burst open—and in walked Hu Zuixiang.
“Well, well, what happened here? Why the hospital stay all of a sudden?” she sneered, her voice laced with mockery.
Lin Mo turned his head away, not wanting to acknowledge her.
“Oh, come on. What’s the matter, too ashamed to face me now?” Hu Zuixiang laughed gleefully. “You’d rather be a eunuch than be with me? Well, congratulations—now you really are one!”
Her voice was shrill and sharp, stabbing right into Lin Mo’s chest like a blade.

“You did this, didn’t you?!” Lin Mo turned his head back sharply, glaring at her with bloodshot eyes.
“What are you talking about?” Hu Zuixiang feigned innocence, her smile sweet and venomous.
“You ugly freak! It was you! Just wait—you’re going to jail for this!”
Hearing the words “ugly freak,” Hu Zuixiang exploded.
“You useless eunuch! Shut the hell up! You’re not even a man anymore! If I were you, I’d just off myself and save everyone the trouble. What a waste of oxygen!”

Lin Mo trembled with rage, which only made his injuries flare up again. He sucked in a sharp breath from the pain, cold sweat breaking out on his forehead.
But Hu Zuixiang wasn’t done. Her barrage of insults continued relentlessly, hammering the same spot over and over—“eunuch, eunuch, eunuch.”

Wang Haoran: “???”
Women really are unmatched when it comes to verbal beatdowns.
Lin Mo, panting and soaked in sweat, tried to retort, but Hu Zuixiang’s tongue was sharper, her words nastier, and her volume louder. He simply couldn’t win.
No one knew how long her tirade lasted, but eventually, her throat went hoarse, and she finally stopped.
Just then, Ling Duanya and her team returned from their investigation.
Lin Mo immediately asked about their findings—but the news was bleak.
The attacker covered his tracks too well. No prints, no witnesses, no footage. It was like he’d never been there.
“Her! Investigate her!” Lin Mo suddenly shouted, pointing at Hu Zuixiang. “She’s the one who hired that guy!”
Ling Duanya and her colleagues turned toward Hu Zuixiang.
“I admit I hired some guys to rough him up,” she said without hesitation. “But they got beaten and ran. He didn’t even have a scratch. As for what happened to him after that—I had nothing to do with it.”
Ling Duanya immediately began taking her statement.
Hu Zuixiang was extremely cooperative and even took the chance to reveal that Lin Mo played with her feelings and then dumped her.
The officers, hearing the full story, couldn’t help but feel a wave of disgust toward Lin Mo.
Just moments ago, they still felt sorry for him. Now? Not so much.
Of course, professionalism prevented them from voicing those thoughts out loud.
After recording her statement, they let Hu Zuixiang go. Whether she was involved or not, they’d need hard evidence to prove it. But with how clean the attacker had been, this case was likely to go cold.
Still, protocol demanded they continue the investigation.
Hu Zuixiang, having fully vented her fury, strutted out of the room.
Once again, Lin Mo was alone.
He lay there for a while, tears slipping from the corners of his eyes—then, as if remembering something, a spark of hope lit up in his heart.
Last time, when his body was weak and had lost its manhood, the system restored him by spending Approval Points.
Now that he was really an eunuch, can’t the system fix him again?
Driven by desperation, Lin Mo focused his thoughts, trying to communicate with the system.
But no matter how hard he tried, there was no response.
Panic set in.
He waited a bit and tried again.
Still nothing.
Despair filled his chest like a lead weight.
His system was truly gone.
He was no longer the protagonist.
Lin Mo was finished.
