"He’s just throwing his weight around because he’s old," Li Mu scoffed.

"Come, come, ignore them. Esteemed envoys, please..."

"Hey, look! Is that Xiang Minghou, the former Great General of Beili?"

A voice cut off Old Prince Feng.

Upon hearing this, Li Mu immediately rushed out the door to look down the street. The other two envoys, having heard of Xiang Minghou’s fame, also went to the entrance to get a look.

Xiang Minghou was dressed in light-colored brocade robes with a sash around his waist and his hair held up by a jade coronet. His face was clean-shaven, but the three scars on it looked rather intimidating.

The soft brocade could not hide his powerful aura. Wherever he passed, the crowd parted for him.

"Xiang Minghou greets Elder Chen on his birthday and wishes him a long and happy life," Xiang Minghou said, bowing low.

"Hurry and rise, Minghou. Where is Pangtuan?" Elder Chen walked down a few steps and helped him up, his eyes looking past him for his dear apprentice.

"She’s preparing your birthday gift right behind me. She’ll be here in a moment."

"What do I need a gift for? Her return is the best gift of all." Elder Chen looked on with eager anticipation, unable to hide his impatience.

"Soon."

Elder Chen sighed, wishing he could see his apprentice at once.

"Master."

Luo Wen, Luo Xuan, and Du Ying stepped forward excitedly to bow. They had not seen their master in many years.

"Mm. You’ve all done very well over the years," Xiang Minghou offered, a rare compliment.

Luo Wen and the others were visibly pleased.

"Qian Fanji greets Elder Chen on his birthday."

Qian Fanji stepped out from the crowd and bowed to Elder Chen.

"Fan Ji, you’re here too! Excellent, excellent." Seeing all these people gathered together, Elder Chen longed to see Ye Qianning even more.

Old Prince Feng sneered, "Some general. He’s just a stray dog that Beili threw out. Nothing to get excited about. The Qian family has always been close with the Gu family, so it’s only fitting that a stateless man would celebrate a stateless man’s birthday. If he were here for my birthday, I wouldn’t even spare him a glance."

"Exactly. They’re all just lowlifes kicked out of Beili. How can they still show their faces in public?" Li Mu added, his tone even more contemptuous than Prince Feng’s.

Hearing this, the trace of displeasure in Old Prince Feng’s heart vanished.

"On behalf of the Barbarian Clan, I, Li Zhuang, present our clan’s greatest treasure to Elder Chen for his birthday!" a man dressed in wolf skins announced, stepping out from the crowd while holding a box.

"Helan Rui of Beijiang presents a Winter Frost Branch to Elder Chen for his birthday!"

"The Eastern Border presents a Phoenix Qilin to Elder Chen for his birthday!"

"The Desolate Clan presents a Thousand-Year Amber Stone to Elder Chen for his birthday!"

"The Northwestern Ice Clan presents a Cold Water Pearl to Elder Chen for his birthday!"

"The Shuiyuan Clan of Guanghai presents the Ink Sea Cyan Abyss to Elder Chen for his birthday!"

"The Hu Clan of the Desert presents the Wenyan Scroll to Elder Chen for his birthday!"

"The Zhong family of Loulan presents the Twilight Mist Brocade to Elder Chen for his birthday..."

In an instant, the Immortal Sea Building erupted with activity. Wave after wave of people, lined up in rows, came forward to wish Elder Chen a happy birthday, leaving the onlookers utterly stunned.

The Twilight Mist Brocade, the Wenyan Scroll, the Thousand-Year Amber, the Phoenix Qilin...

’My heavens! Every single one of these is a priceless treasure! They are practically the ultimate treasures of their respective clans. How could they bear to give them away as birthday gifts?’

Old Prince Feng and the envoys from the three kingdoms were stunned. Even the people who had already entered the inn to celebrate Old Prince Feng’s birthday poured back out upon hearing of so many precious treasures.

It wasn’t every day one could see so many priceless treasures.

"Heavens, the Shuiyuan Clan of Guanghai came too! This is my first time ever seeing a member of the Shuiyuan Clan..."

"Loulan, the Hu Clan, the Ice Clan... the Barbarian Clan... My goodness, just how influential is Elder Chen for all these people to come and celebrate his birthday?"

Everyone stared at the newcomers in shock.

Even Elder Chen himself was stunned.
