I Became the Caretaker of Twin Yandere Villainesses, and They Love Me!
Chapter 69: The Future Sisters-in-Law
"Mira! What’s wrong with you!?"
Elias was seriously shocked to see Mira suddenly release that much energy for no clear reason. But what confused him the most was where his little sister had gotten this much power from.
’What happened while I was gone?’
*Whoosh!
The people around them instantly raised their hands to cover their faces. Some even had to step back a few paces because of the fierce wind. Their hair and clothes whipped around wildly, while dust and leaves flew everywhere in the air.
Aunt Centipede and Aunt Potato hurriedly bowed their heads, shielding their faces with both hands.
"Oh my..."
"Mira, calm down!"
Even the people standing pretty far away could feel the pressure of that energy. They stared at Mira with shocked faces, unable to hide their unease.
In the middle of the red flames and the raging wind, Mira stood there with her eyes never leaving the part of Elias’s body she’d just seen.
"Lady Nocturne..."
Mira shifted her gaze to Evelyn and Elysia. Her stare was razor sharp, and the killing intent pouring out of her body was clearly aimed at the two girls.
Noticing that, Evelyn quickly signaled her sister to back off a little. The situation was too dangerous to take lightly.
Mira then started walking toward them slowly, the energy still burning around her.
"Where’s my brother’s left arm? Why is it gone?"
The wind pressure got stronger as Mira’s energy kept rising. Elysia instinctively drew her sword, ready for the worst.
*Shing!
"Don’t, Elysia!"
"But, Big Sis, she—"
"I know! But wait. I have a plan."
Hearing her sister, Elysia finally followed the instruction and slid her sword back into its sheath.
Once she made sure Elysia wouldn’t do anything reckless, Evelyn looked back at Mira, who was now only a few steps away from them.
"We know you must be angry and confused. But please, listen to our explanation first. We don’t want to do something we shouldn’t."
Honestly, Mira had zero interest in wasting time on Evelyn’s explanation. But since it wouldn’t hurt to hear what they had to say, she gave a slight nod before raising her right hand out to the side.
"Well, that depends on how you explain it."
Suddenly, red energy wrapped around her right arm. A moment later, a Scythe appeared in her palm. Mira then pointed the weapon at the two of them, her red eyes glowing.
"As you know, I’m very angry right now."
Elias, seeing his sister holding a Scythe, was stunned. He still hadn’t gotten any answer about why Mira suddenly lost it or where that much power came from, and now the girl who usually had a smile as sweet as honey was pointing her weapon at the two Villainesses with a terrifying expression.
"Mira! Suppress your energy! Have you lost your mind?"
But Mira completely ignored Elias’s words. She kept her Scythe aimed at Evelyn and Elysia while the energy around her body kept overflowing.
Realizing his sister wasn’t listening to him, Elias got even more panicked.
’Damn it! I have to stop her before everything turns into a total mess!’
Elias then wrapped his own body in energy and moved in front of Evelyn and Elysia in an instant.
"Mira! What’s wrong with you?! Suppress your aura! Why are you aiming killing intent at them?!"
Seeing Elias standing in front of them, Evelyn and Elysia exchanged a glance for a moment.
Elysia then sighed before sliding both her arms around the front of Elias’s body and hugging him from behind.
"Elias~ I’m scared. Why is your sister suddenly like that?"
She rested her chin on Elias’s shoulder and, on purpose, blew a little against his neck.
Elias flinched when he felt Elysia’s arms wrap around him. When her warm breath touched his neck, his body went a bit stiff. Cold sweat started appearing at his temples.
"L-Lady... I’ll handle this. She’s just going through a rebellious phase."
Before Elias could say anything more, his right arm suddenly sank between Evelyn’s twin hills.
Then she spoke in a spoiled tone, looking at Elias with teary eyes.
"Elias, please explain to your sister. We know losing your arm is partly our fault too. We want to explain, but she’s too scary~"
Elias’s mind was a complete mess right now. He didn’t even know if he should feel confused, shocked, panicked, or scared.
He could understand Mira being angry after seeing his missing left arm and wanting an explanation. But he never expected his sister to release that much energy, complete with such strong killing intent!
That was what worried him the most. He was afraid Mira would really hurt Evelyn and Elysia.
If those two got hurt, the lives of everyone here could actually end. And all of it could happen because of this little girl’s tantrum?
Of course, Elias wasn’t gonna let that happen!
’We can’t hurt this family, no matter what!’
On the other side, Aunt Centipede, seeing Elias sandwiched between Evelyn and Elysia, could only sigh and slap her forehead.
"In a time like this, they’re really terrifying girls."
Aunt Potato then added with a soft laugh, covering her mouth a little.
"But he does look happy."
Of course, Elias wasn’t feeling happy at all in a messed up situation like this.
Mira, seeing her brother being clung to by Evelyn and Elysia, felt a bit embarrassed and annoyed at the same time.
"Big Bro! What are you doing?! Get away from them, those girls!"
"Mira, I don’t get what you mean. They’re the ones who should let go of—"
Before Elias could finish his sentence, Evelyn pushed his arm even deeper between her "hills" while whining.
"Kyaaa~! She’s so scary! Elias, do something~"
’You’re terrible at acting, Lady,’ Elias thought with a wry laugh.
Watching Evelyn’s antics, which to Mira looked like her brother’s doing, a faint blush showed up on her cheeks. But she quickly poured blood-red energy into her Scythe.
"Big Bro, you’ve really changed. If you don’t get away from there, I’ll just cut you in half along with them."
Elias’s body froze right away. The hair on his neck stood up, and a chill crawled across his whole body. He wasn’t just scared, he was also a little sad that his usually adorable and sweet sister could say something so horrifying.
"Mira, listen to me first. First, calm down and suppress your killing intent. Let’s talk about this—"
*Boom!
Before Elias could finish, a huge explosion suddenly rang out not far from where they were standing. He stopped talking right away and instinctively turned around, toward his left.
The second he saw what happened, Elias’s eyes went wide. Cold sweat poured down his face.
Without him noticing, Mira had already moved behind the three of them and swung her Scythe in a slash.
But what shocked Elias even more was the Village Chief standing in front of Mira. The old man had stopped the attack with just one arm that looked frail, without any sign of injury.
’V-Village Chief?’
"Mira, calm yourself."
Mira’s eyes were still glowing with bloodlust. She pushed the pressure of her attack higher, making the red energy around her body surge even more.
But before she could strengthen her attack any further, a golden-yellow barrier suddenly appeared and surrounded her body.
Mira looked a little confused before she started struggling, trying to break the barrier.
But the barrier was too strong for her to break. Slowly, the red energy wrapped around Mira’s body began to fade.
"He’s your big brother and your future sisters-in-law, Mira."
Elias turned toward the voice. He found Aunt Potato standing not far from him.
Just as he was about to scold her for calling Evelyn and Elysia Mira’s future sisters-in-law, Elias got shocked again when he saw the golden light wrapped around his sister’s body was coming from Aunt Potato’s palm.
"True Light: Purification."
’Aunt Potato...?’
The woman then pressed both her hands together right in front of her chest, like she was praying. After that, the last of Mira’s red energy vanished completely, and the spherical barrier around her shattered.
*Crack!
Before Mira’s body could fall, a dark green Magic Circle appeared right beneath her. The girl floated up into the air.
"She got too excited when Elias brought two future sisters-in-law for her."
Hearing Aunt Centipede, Elias could only laugh bitterly before walking up to her.
"I told you, that’s not what I meant."
"Oh, really?"
Aunt Centipede glanced at Elias’s face for a moment before shifting her gaze to Evelyn and Elysia standing behind him.
"But it doesn’t look like those two see it that way."
Confused by what Aunt Centipede meant, Elias turned around right away. He found Evelyn and Elysia’s faces already deep red. They were so red it looked like steam was rising off their heads.
Evelyn put both hands on her cheeks, trying to hide her blushing face. But a wide smile was still stuck on it.
’Me... Sister-in-law... Mira... Elias, marriage, kids! Kyaa~!’
Unlike her sister, who looked so hyped, Elysia just clasped both hands tightly in front of her stomach. Her eyes were cast down a little, and her face was just as red as her sister’s.
’Sister-in-law... Not bad. But, I’m not ready to be called that! H-h-how do I deal with this?! W-w-what am I supposed to talk about when I’m with her?!’
Watching Evelyn and Elysia’s silly behavior, Elias could only smile bitterly while scratching his head.
’What the hell are they thinking...?’
