I Became a Peak Master With No Disciples?!
Chapter 158 - The Miracle of Life
"Aaaaggghhh! My puppet threads!"
Yun Song screamed, clutching his head as blood seeped from his eyes. Beside him, Lady Tao froze in pure terror, her trembling hands dropping her Soul-Charming Bell as Su Ming’s Dragon Will sent a shockwave that shattered her demonic artifact into pieces.
The twenty elders collapsed to their knees, panting heavily as they reclaimed their own bodies.
Slowly but steadily, all of Demonic Ancestor’s plans were falling apart.
Cornered and desperate, the possessed scholar slammed his hands against the Profound Reversal Mirror. He channeled the subterranean Nether-Abyss Death Array beneath the stronghold, funneling every drop of accumulated death Qi into the mirror, overwhelming it more than ever.
"Die with us!!!"
A concentrated beam of pitch-black death energy erupted from the mirror, shooting across the valley straight towards Su Ming’s chest.
Even the air withered wherever the beam passed. Stone turned to brittle dust as the soil died along its path. Leaving behind a trail of death, it shot toward Su Ming like a bullet.
Su Ming did not dodge. He took a steady step forward and extended both of his palms slowly. The Yin-Yang Origin Law circulated within his body.
’With the reversal of Yin and Yang, death becomes life!’
Just as Su Ming muttered this, the surrounding space seemed to obey his command as a faint ripple warped in the air before Su Ming’s palms.
The death beam slammed into Su Ming’s palms. There was no explosion. Under the command of the Yin-Yang Origin Law, the death beam unraveled, transforming into glowing emerald-green droplets that hovered weightlessly in the air.
Su Ming clenched his fingers and then opened them, and instantly the green light rained down across the misty valley.
Within seconds, lush green spirit grass and purple-stem medicinal herbs burst through the ground, covering the entire valley in vibrant life.
The warm essence washed through Su Ming’s body, instantly healing his cracked bones and soothing his injuries. The wounds on the twenty elders healed, their Qi rapidly refilling to its peak.
An elder dropped his longsword, staring down at his healed body in absolute disbelief.
Lei Zhenwu’s Saint Halberd wavered in his grip as he moved away from the Tiger Demon. The battle-hardened peak master stared at the blooming grass and the calm young man standing in the center of the battlefield, his voice trembling with genuine shock.
’Reversing life and death with bare hands... What kind of Law Comprehension is this?!’
The possessed scholar screamed as the Profound Reversal Mirror cracked down the middle and shattered into pieces.
Su Ming slowly lowered his hands. On the surface, his expression remained calm. Yet deep inside his sea of consciousness, a heavy wave of mental fatigue washed over him. Reversing the effects of such a massive-scale death energy had pushed his Yin-Yang Origin Law well over his current limit.
He raised his eyes, looking coldly at the remaining demonic vessels.
Around him, twenty fully restored elders and Peak Master Lei Zhenwu stepped forward in unison, their weapons gleaming under the green light.
The remaining demonic vessels were completely trapped.
Just as the elders were getting ready to strike, the four vessels shuddered in unison.
The frantic panic in their eyes vanished in a single breath, replaced by an eerie calmness.
At the center of their foreheads, black runes flared with dark light, pulsing in silent rhythm. A strange spiritual resonance hummed across the invisible soul links connecting them. With a silent nod, the remaining vessels looked at each other, their lips curling into feral grins.
Violent demonic energy erupted from their bodies as they ignited their life force for an all out attack.
Lady Tao moved first. Her crimson robes flickered as her figure dissolved into the shadows, blending seamlessly with the gray mist lingering along the valley floor.
A moment later, the shadow behind Su Ming distorted.
Lady Tao emerged from the shadows without a sound, with a sinister sneer on her delicate face. She flicked her wrist, and three pitch-black needles shot toward Su Ming’s neck and heart.
Su Ming did not even turn around.
His divine sense had locked onto her the moment the shadow shifted. With a flick of his index finger, a radiant Yang Sword Manifestation erupted backward. The golden flaming sword tore through the dark mist, shattering the needles before piercing straight through her chest.
Su Ming casually snapped his fingers.
A pure wave of Yang Origin Flame washed over her crimson robes. In a fraction of an instant, the flames engulfed her body, burning her flesh, bones, and everything into gray ash before she could even make a sound.
"Leave the rest to me!"
A thunderous laugh shook the valley basin.
With the tranced elders now safe and sound, Peak Master Lei Zhenwu no longer held back. Silver-blue arcs of True Stellar Meteor Lightning roared around his tall body, expanding into a domain of crushing lightning and gravity.
Raising his Saint Grade Halberd high, Lei Zhenwu lunged forward like a descending storm.
The Tiger Demon roared in a frenzy, its molten claws slashing through the air. Lei Zhenwu did not dodge. He swung the heavy halberd in a wide arc, smashing the tiger’s claws aside with brute physical force before slamming the blunt shaft directly into the demon’s chest.
The Tiger Demon let out an agonized scream as the Halberd almost crushed its body, sending it flying.
It was now Peak Master Lei Zhenwu’s time to play.
Scholar Yan and Elder Yun Song tried to flank him, sending dark soul talismans and the battered Yin-Flesh Puppet into the middle. Lei Zhenwu merely sneered. He spun the Saint Halberd like a wheel of thunder, smashing the puppet and shooting a bolt of lightning straight into Scholar Yan’s chest, pinning him to the ground.
’Peak Master Lei, do you need assistance?’ Su Ming’s Divine Sense echoed into Lei Zhenwu’s mind.
’Hahaha! Peak Master Su, take some rest and leave the rest to me!’ Lei Zhenwu’s booming voice rang back through their divine sense. ’These bastards dared to play with the elders of my sect today. If I do not grind every single bone in their bodies to dust today, I’ll write my name backwards!’
Seeing the peak master completely in control of the situation, Su Ming nodded and walked toward the far side of the basin where Chen Wuhen had fallen earlier.
He still had something important to investigate.
Lush green spirit grass rustled under his boots as he approached the edge of a crater. A faint sound caught his ear.
