Chapter 1251: Chapter 1250: We’re Hungry
Seeing his aunt leave, Luo Yirui no longer hesitated. He quickly approached Little Fatty and Fu Xuan Ge, and after a brief consultation with the youths, they decided to leave.
The earlier explosion had blown a hole in the outer building, providing them a way to escape, though it led straight into the pitch-black mountains.
"Like you said, it can’t be more dangerous than here," Fu Xuan Ge said.
Little Fatty nodded, "Exactly, we’d better hurry. Security personnel might come around soon."
Luo Yirui shouted, "Quickly grab the weapons on the ground, and let’s get out of here."
The youths roared in unison, their excitement palpable—they were finally going to leave!
They swiftly picked up the batons and electric rods from the ground. The few remaining were taken by Luo Yirui and the others leading the group. The gun was practically useless without bullets and was abandoned.
Luo Yirui and the group of youths stood at the breach in the wall, looking back at the ’factory’ that was now mostly ablaze—it was as if they were dreaming; they had almost died here.
The life or death ordeal that lasted several hours felt like a lifetime, making it unforgettable.
"Let’s go, Brother Xiao Rui," Little Fatty called back.
Luo Yirui sighed softly, turned around, and along with the group of youths disappeared into the mountains.
The dawn light gradually emerged in the east, illuminating the dark woods and revealing strands of light that dazzled the soul.
Luo Yirui and the youths hastened away from the valley, standing atop the mountain and gazing at the distant dawn, their hearts filled with hope.
Having left such a terrifying place, they felt that somehow, they could survive.
Their next plan was to leave the depths of the mountains, find a place with people, and hopefully locate a rescue station. If not, connecting with the outside world and calling the police would ensure they got help.
But now, food was a problem. After a night of turmoil, everyone was famished.
"Boss, we need to find something to eat!"
The voice was not from any of the youths; they were shocked. Luo Yirui immediately signaled them to be silent, and the youths instinctively crouched down, hiding in the grass or behind trees.
Following the sound, Luo Yirui saw about twenty security personnel coming from below. Some held guns, others had batons and electric rods, each looking disheveled.
To the youths, these security personnel were like wild beasts; their crazed demeanor surpassed even those with Vertical Pupils!
Luo Yirui felt a sinking feeling; there were too many of them, and they had no chance of winning. At this rate, they would surely be discovered—they had to leave quickly.
It seemed the only choice was to disperse and move separately.
Despite having only a few hours together, the youths had already developed a rapport. Seeing Luo Yirui’s gesture, they understood his intention and quietly retreated.
However, being in the wilderness, they inevitably made noise. As the sound of branches cracking underfoot echoed, the tired security personnel finally reacted, alertly looking over and spotting shadows of children rapidly fleeing through the forest.
"Boss, there are a lot of test subjects over there!" one security personnel shouted.
The others stood up, watching them escape—some eyes showing a fierce glint, while others couldn’t be bothered.
"Boss, we’re hungry."
Someone uttered this sentence, and more than ten security personnel’s eyes gleamed with ferocity.
