I am the Clone of a Death Row Inmate

Chapter 780: The Ninth Evolution, A Leap in Power!

Su Ze spread himself out into a giant green pancake, so large it blotted out the sun, easily big enough to cover an entire planet.

He had swallowed countless Chlorophyll Capsules in one gulp, then transformed himself into this shape to maximize his surface area for light exposure.

After numerous experiments, this was the most effective method he had discovered for performing photosynthesis with chlorophyll.

In less than fifteen minutes, the several thousand Chlorophyll Capsules were completely consumed. The green of the “pancake” faded away entirely, after which Su Ze rapidly shrank and exited the Giant Spatial Artifact.

They couldn’t just use the Super Star openly. Since it couldn’t be taken out, it had to remain inside the Giant Spatial Artifact.

It was a bit inconvenient, but they had no choice.

The moment he emerged, Su Ze appeared in the laboratory. Liou Wenxin, the Pope, and Mage were all busy with their work.

The Super Star had been kept in the laboratory for the trio to study, so Su Ze had been coming to the lab every day to sunbathe.

“All used up again?” Liou Wenxin asked, tilting her head.

“Yeah,” Su Ze nodded. “They get used up way too fast. Once you’re all finished with the Witch Egg and Mutant Seed combination, you’ll still need to improve these Chlorophyll Capsules.”

Liou Wenxin shook her head helplessly. “You’re the one using them up too fast. The chlorophyll factory has thousands of people working overtime, and even they can’t keep up with you alone.”

Su Ze chuckled, offering no rebuttal.

Liou Wenxin was right. Not everyone had his ability to freely change their body shape, and their photosynthetic efficiency wasn’t nearly as high.

Under normal circumstances, it would take a person at least half an hour to use up a single chlorophyll capsule, even if they were constantly turning to catch the sun from different angles.

And this was with the improved chlorophyll, which had a more potent photosynthetic effect and a higher concentration per capsule.

“It shouldn’t be much longer. In a few more days, the Evolutionary Material in my body will be completely digested. After that, I won’t need them for a while, so they can be given to the others.”

Once he finished digesting the Evolutionary Material, the Chlorophyll Capsules could be allocated to Mr. Ya and the others. A new Moon God would likely emerge on Zexing very soon.

As Su Ze walked out of the laboratory, he happened to run into Mr. Ya returning with a group from a bandit suppression mission.

It looked like their haul was decent; everyone was beaming with joy.

Su Ze smiled. “You all should rest at home for a few days. Don’t go out for now. I’ll arrange some sunbathing for you in a bit.”

Mr. Ya, Lin Hua, and the others understood his meaning at once, their faces lighting up with joy.

Several of them had already met the conditions for their eighth evolution; the only thing holding them back was the undigested Evolutionary Material in their bodies.

…

A few days later, Su Ze successfully digested the Evolutionary Material within his body.

However, production of the Chlorophyll Capsules was not scaled back. Su Ze ordered it to be ramped up further, demanding they produce as much as possible.

The few dozen god-level beings on Zexing couldn’t possibly use them all—their combined consumption rate didn’t even match Su Ze’s alone—but the capsules would surely be useful in the future. There was no harm in having a larger stockpile.

When Su Ze eventually became a Sun God, or even an Ancestral God, his demand would only grow. Furthermore, the number of powerhouses on Zexing was bound to increase, and so would their collective need.

Every god-level being on Zexing finally received their share of Chlorophyll Capsules and began their daily sunbathing sessions under the Super Star.

This method of photosynthesis not only helped them rapidly digest Evolutionary Material, but it also slightly strengthened their physiques. Although the immediate effect was not obvious, the accumulated benefits over the years would be quite considerable.

While Mr. Ya and his group were sunbathing together, Su Ze had already entered seclusion to prepare for his ninth evolution!

Even though he had weathered many storms on his journey, Su Ze couldn’t help but feel a little nervous.

Ascending to the rank of Sun God!

This was a crucial milestone for him.

Once he crossed this threshold, many things awaited him. His power, after he became a Sun God, would undergo an increase so vast he couldn’t even begin to fathom it!

The Inheritance Crystal within him still held a vast number of Origin Gene inheritances with extremely high completion rates. They would be completely unlocked for him after he became a Sun God.

After absorbing the Origin Genes from other races, all with completion rates above 50%, Su Ze himself had no idea how powerful he would become.

Moreover, Mr. Ao had already prepared his new Sun God-level skill: it was an Ancestral God-level skill, the “Dream” ability from the Creation Dream Butterfly!

The subsequent inheritances for the “Divine Grace of Evolution” and “Meteor Impact” skills would also unlock.

In fact, only after becoming a Sun God would he truly inherit the better half of the legacy Mr. Ao had left behind.

To inherit it all, he would have to wait until he became an Ancestral God.

‘Right now, I can already suppress a Sun God from a first-rate race. Once I become a Sun God, receive these inheritances, and push my power to the absolute limit, will I have a chance to fight an Ancestral God despite being a rank below?’

The thought lingered in his mind, making him look forward to the impending ninth evolution with even greater anticipation.

Su Ze took a deep breath, recalling his previous eight evolutions, and gradually regained his composure.

Just as with every evolution before, he first calmed his emotions. Only when his heart was as still as a tranquil lake did he begin his ninth evolution.

With a mere thought, the evolutionary power within Su Ze’s body rapidly condensed.

It gathered in one spot, coalescing into a mass and concentrating in the area below Su Ze’s navel.

This evolutionary power condensed into a small, solid sphere.

‘Am I… undergoing Core Formation?’ Su Ze joked to himself.

But then, the small sphere of condensed evolutionary power burst forth with a dazzling radiance. The light was scorching yet warm, like the blazing midday sun.
