I am the Clone of a Death Row Inmate

Chapter 760: The Dominator Races Gather (Part 2)

The days passed, and the day of the auction soon arrived.

Dou Yi had learned from the Alliance Commerce Association that while many people were attending the auction, most were just there for the spectacle.

Of course, if these spectators saw an item they needed, they would certainly place a bid.

But not many people were actually there for the Daman Ancestral God’s bloodline.

This was understandable. After all, few factions were willing to get involved and risk offending the Holy Race.

The only ones were the other Dominator Races and a few of the top-tier Strong Races.

The auction was held as scheduled. Only those who had purchased a ticket could set foot on Treasure Competition Star. Once on the planet, anyone could use an electronic map to monitor the auction’s progress in real-time and place bids, regardless of their location.

It was also possible to attend in person, but entry to the main venue required an expensive VIP ticket.

Su Ze, of course, found a random corner to watch the live broadcast remotely. Dou Yi, on the other hand, had been invited into the main auction hall. The Alliance Commerce Association had promised that he would receive his payment the moment the auction concluded.

It was clear the Alliance Commerce Association had put a great deal of effort into this event. They had put up numerous rare resources for sale, and the auction floor was constantly erupting in fresh waves of excitement.

Several deep-pocketed participants repeatedly made their presence known, most of whom had purchased VIP tickets to sit in the main hall.

From the scattered conversations around him, Su Ze learned about a few of the big shots in attendance. As expected, every one of them came from a powerful background.

All five Dominator Races had sent representatives. Although they were only Sun Gods, they were clearly not attending in a personal capacity.

Many first-rate races had also sent people, but whether they would bid on the treasure of the Daman Ancestral God’s bloodline remained to be seen.

It was Su Ze’s first time seeing all five Dominator Races gathered in one place. Before this, he hadn’t even known what some of them looked like.

The Spirit Race were elemental lifeforms that looked like orbs of light. Their colors weren’t uniform, however; they came in all sorts of hues.

The Holy Race possessed golden skin and a build similar to the Human Race, but with a long, narrow eye on both the front and back of their heads. They were born without any blind spots. They also lacked a traditional back, with two more sturdy arms growing from that area.

The Pan Race had what could be called a “square jaw,” because their heads were perfectly square—a block of stone that appeared pitch-black and glossy.

In addition to their heads, they had very square torsos. Their entire bodies were composed of two black stones, with no limbs.

The larger stone was the body and the smaller stone was the head. There was no physical connection between them; they simply floated, maintaining a tight, non-contact formation.

Su Ze had learned, however, that the Pan Race also had a so-called “battle form” that could take on countless shapes.

But the ones that surprised Su Ze the most were the Witch Race and the Primordial Race.

The Witch Race was bizarre, while the Primordial Race was surprisingly ordinary.

In the seat designated for the Witch Race’s Sun God, there was only a face… or, to be more precise, Su Ze wasn’t even sure if it *was* a face.

It had no facial features whatsoever.

‘It looked like a bare ball of flesh floating there, without a single hair. If one had to insist this meatball was the Witch Race member’s head, I suppose it would be a plausible argument.’

‘After all, if you strip a lifeform of everything else, whatever’s left must be the head, right?’

The Witch Race was a mystery in the universe. They were rare, but as a Dominator Race, they still garnered significant attention.

Most minor races would likely never even have the chance to encounter a member of the Witch Race.

Su Ze had learned a fair amount about the Witch Race from both the Pope and King Mu. After all, both were of the Nian Race, which had originally served as vassals to the Witch Race, so they knew more than the average person.

But hearing about them was one thing; seeing them in person was another entirely. The sheer strangeness of the Witch Race exceeded his imagination.

Members of the Witch Race exhibited different forms depending on their life level. This bald, fleshy orb was simply the appearance of a Sun God-level Witch Race member.

The other Dominator Race, the Primordial Race, looked completely unremarkable. Their appearance and physique were very similar to the Human Race, with two major differences. First, the Primordial Race was completely hairless—not a single strand on their bodies, including their heads.

Second was their skin color: a pure, chalky white, with no underlying flush of color. If one stood perfectly still, they could easily be mistaken for a plaster statue.

The Primordial Race was just as mysterious as the Witch Race; even the Pope knew little about them.

However, according to the Pope, the other four Dominator Races were all deeply wary of the Primordial Race.

That fact alone was a testament to the Primordial Race’s power.

The auction continued, with items being sold off one after another. There was no shortage of rare treasures fetching astronomical prices.

At one point, Su Ze tried placing a bid himself. He had no intention of actually competing for the item; he simply wanted to experience what it felt like.

The moment he placed his remote bid through the electronic map, he immediately felt a gaze lock onto him.

However, as soon as his bid was topped by the next person, the feeling of being watched vanished.

‘It seems there are officials specifically monitoring every bidder, probably to prevent people from making random, disruptive bids remotely.’

When the third-to-last item of the auction was presented on the stage, a hush fell over the entire venue.

Because this time, the item up for auction was a single drop of blood.

The blood of the Daman Ancestral God!

Many people were here precisely for this.

The moment the drop of Ancestral God’s blood was displayed, some began communicating via Spiritual Transmission. Others, bolder, started whispering amongst themselves, unafraid of being overheard.
