I am the Clone of a Death Row Inmate

Chapter 709 387: Advent of the Sun God

Sensing the fluctuation of Spatial Energy, Su Ze's attention was immediately drawn to it.

When he saw the Teleportation Array, Su Ze's heart lurched. He immediately cast all other concerns aside and charged toward the Son of the Ancestral God.

He had to stop him!

Whether the Son of the Ancestral God was trying to escape through the Teleportation Array or summon reinforcements, either outcome would push the situation in a direction Su Ze couldn't control.

If the Son of the Ancestral God escaped, he might bring disaster upon Zexing in the future.

If he was calling for reinforcements, there was no telling what level of expert would come through from the other side. It was very likely to be an existence Su Ze couldn't handle.

"Stop him!" the Son of the Ancestral God roared. The other fleeing members of the Dou Race turned and charged at Su Ze, no longer fearing death.

They knew this was their only chance!

Su Ze was tied down by eight Moon Gods and couldn't break free for a moment.

He gritted his teeth and attacked with his full power, grabbing one and pummeling them mercilessly.

But these Dou Race Moon Gods were truly determined to die, blocking him with their very lives.

Even knowing it meant certain death, none of them backed down.

Before, they were desperately fleeing. Now, they were desperately blocking him.

Su Ze had no other choice but to first kill these Dou Race Moon Gods blocking his path.

However, he simultaneously sent a message to the Magic Cube, telling Mr. Ya to destroy the Teleportation Array with the Ray Cannon.

Mr. Ya received the order and fired a blast from the Ray Cannon straight at the Teleportation Array.

The Ray Cannon's accuracy was a bit poor, but there was no way it could miss a stationary target like the Teleportation Array.

On the Teleportation Array, the Son of the Ancestral God was busy with something.

He unfastened the Divine Artifact belt from his waist and levitated it before him. Then, he slit his wrist, and blue blood gushed out, pouring onto the belt.

When the blood touched the belt, it seemed to activate, emitting a faint golden glow. At the same time, the Son of the Ancestral God was muttering something under his breath.

But just then, the blast from the Ray Cannon descended from the sky.

The Son of the Ancestral God was forced to interrupt what he was doing. A ruthless glint flashed in his eyes as he grabbed the belt and poured what little evolutionary power he had left into it.

A metallic sheen once again covered his body.

The Son of the Ancestral God positioned himself above the Teleportation Array, directly in the path of the Ray Cannon.

He was going to use his own body to block the blast and protect the Teleportation Array below!

This was a Tier Eight Ray Cannon—a destructive weapon capable of obliterating a Moon God-level Spaceship, something even Moon God experts would do anything to avoid.

The Ray Cannon's blast struck the Son of the Ancestral God squarely. His metallic body turned incandescent, like molten iron, and began to flow.

The Son of the Ancestral God couldn't help but scream in agony, but he held his ground, taking the full force of the attack.

Throughout the ordeal, he clutched the belt as blood from his wrist wound flowed continuously into it.

Finally, a look of joy appeared in his eyes. He felt a response from within the belt.

It came from one of his older brothers.

In the cosmos, long-distance communication had always been a problem.

With distances spanning countless Star Realms and measured in light-years, even transmitting information at the speed of light was incredibly inefficient.

Therefore, treasures that allowed for instantaneous, ultra-long-distance communication were exceptionally precious.

This was typically an ability that only an Ancestral God could master.

The Son of the Ancestral God's Divine Artifact belt possessed just such a power, but it was not without its limits. It couldn't be used to communicate with just anyone, only the siblings with whom he shared the closest blood ties.

Although he wasn't among the children his father valued most, his father still showed a degree of care for all his offspring. In particular, upon ascending to godhood, each child would receive a Tier Nine Divine Artifact as a reward.

His belt was precisely the gift his father had given him upon his own ascension.

All the Tier Nine Divine Artifacts that his Ancestral God father gifted to his children were personally forged, and each contained a drop of the Ancestral God's own blood.

It was through these blood-linked Divine Artifacts that the siblings could contact one another.

However, this connection had its limitations. It relied on the mutual resonance between the two parties' shared Bloodline Power.

Thus, even if someone without a blood connection obtained the Divine Artifact, they would be unable to contact anyone. In other words, only those of the Ancestral God's bloodline could use the artifact's long-range communication feature.

Furthermore, distance was also a factor. The farther apart they were, the more difficult it became to establish a connection.

The closer the blood ties, the greater the range of the connection.

The Ancestral God had over ten thousand children, and they certainly weren't all from the same mother. He had wives and concubines in droves, so many of his children were half-siblings, their blood ties not particularly close.

If they were within a few Star Realms of each other, they might still be able to make contact. But now, everyone had fled for their lives, scattering in different directions, and had long since lost contact with one another.

Besides, the relationships between most of the siblings were average at best; many had never even met. He couldn't possibly count on being rescued by siblings with whom he had no real relationship.

Fortunately, however, this Son of the Ancestral God had a full-blooded older brother, born of the same mother. Their bloodline was the closest, allowing their connection to span the greatest distance.

Some time ago, he had used the Divine Artifact belt to contact his older brother and had then begun constructing this Teleportation Array to reunite with him.

But he never expected that before the Teleportation Array was even finished, Su Ze would come barging in.

He was forced to use his own blood to amplify the bloodline resonance between the Divine Artifact belt and his brother, all in a desperate plea for help.
