I am the Clone of a Death Row Inmate
Chapter 647 - 366: Seclusion
Over the past several hundred years, Lin Hua, Old Waller, and the others had built quite a few houses on Zexing’s surface.
However, every trade has its master. Even a Star God wasn’t necessarily a good home builder. Constructing houses that modern people would find comfortable required a wide range of knowledge.
It required laying pipes, running wiring, installing waterproofing... and a whole series of other tasks.
They might be skilled at hunting exotic beasts or leading armies, but expecting them to handle this kind of work was clearly outside their area of expertise.
That’s not to mention providing the houses with electricity or establishing network coverage...
So, the houses they had erected were merely basic, unfinished shells—skeletons, to be more precise.
Furthermore, to ensure the houses wouldn’t collapse over the centuries, they had used Low-tier Evolution Ore. This type was plentiful but had little other use; its only advantage was being incredibly sturdy and durable, resistant to the elements.
So, while Lin Hua and the others had built plenty of houses, their one defining feature was durability. Beyond that, they had nothing else to offer.
There was an enormous number of houses, enough to accommodate not just thirty thousand people, but ten times that. However, it was obvious these crude, skeletal structures needed to be finished and furnished before they were habitable.
Fortunately, the thirty thousand people Su Ze had brought with him included professionals from all trades. Under the direction of several architects and engineers, everyone got to work with tremendous enthusiasm.
Most of them were evolvers, physically powerful, with strength and speed far surpassing that of ordinary people. They were highly efficient, and they could even use their various abilities to aid their work.
Need water?
There was no need to lay pipes or find a water source. Someone would just use a water-based ability, and water would appear.
Need something air-dried or sun-dried?
No problem. A wind- or light-based ability could get it done in minutes.
Need a crane to move materials? An excavator to dig?
No need! A pair of hands was more than enough.
Any task that required machinery could be better accomplished with manpower and abilities.
Tasks that would take ordinary people days, or even months, to complete, they could finish in a matter of hours.
With thirty thousand people working in unison, their efficiency was staggering.
Soon, the houses began to take proper shape. Drainage and electrical systems were installed, and the homes became just about habitable.
Of course, they would still need more extensive renovations, and each household would have to acquire furniture and appliances, but all that could be done gradually.
The communication and network systems were also under construction and were expected to be ready in a few days.
The vast supplies Su Ze had brought from Blue Star would be distributed to everyone in due course.
The thirty thousand colonists had also brought many of their own belongings from Blue Star. A good number of them possessed storage items, which they had used to carry important personal effects.
Watching the thirty thousand people move into their new homes in an orderly fashion, Su Ze knew it was only a matter of time before they both adapted to this place and began to transform it.
For a long time to come, their mission would be to build, develop, and multiply.
The most exceptional individuals who emerged from this group would perhaps take on greater responsibilities, helping Su Ze share some of the burden.
Seeing everything proceeding in an orderly fashion, Su Ze could finally set his mind at ease. He returned to the underground base and convened a meeting with all the senior leaders.
At present, the so-called senior leaders on Zexing were really just the few Star Gods (with the exception of Hei).
In addition, there were a few Supremes, as well as a group of acquaintances whom Su Ze trusted.
Not a single Legendary-tier expert from Blue Star had made the journey, though a few Supremes had come along.
Su Ze began assigning tasks to each of them: those responsible for production were to manage production, and those for construction were to manage construction.
Su Ze appointed Zhou Wenshan as Zexing’s Minister of Education, responsible for establishing the planet’s educational system.
There were quite a few children among the thirty thousand newcomers, and Zhou Wenshan’s task was to get them into school as soon as possible.
As for the Supremes from Lin Hua Country, Su Ze knew them but wasn’t particularly close to them, so he had each of them lead a team to gather resources and search for Evolution Ore veins.
As for Mr. Ya, Liou Wenxin, Mrs. Yun, and even Zhang Tai, Su Ze had only one demand: they were to increase their strength as quickly as possible!
Among them, Mr. Ya was doing the best, having reached the Supreme level. Mrs. Yun and Zhang Tai were still at the Dominator level. Liou Wenxin was even further behind, having only reached the Butterfly Stage.
In truth, their rate of improvement wasn’t slow at all. It was only when compared to Su Ze that they seemed to be lagging far behind.
To help them increase their strength more quickly, Su Ze naturally gave them preferential access to resources.
Once all the arrangements were in place, Su Ze announced that he was preparing to enter seclusion for training.
This period of seclusion would likely be the longest he had ever undertaken.
Now that he had set everything on Zexing on the right track, Su Ze found that there was very little left for him to do. To be precise, there was only one thing: get stronger, and fast!
Reactivating Zexing’s evolutionary power, allowing the Human Race to re-emerge in the universe, and freeing the humans on Blue Star from the Nian Race’s control—all of these things required strength.
Su Ze had never thought of himself as the savior of the Human Race. He simply wanted to reactivate Zexing’s evolutionary power and save the people he cared about on Blue Star.
However, he was discovering that the difficulty of achieving these goals was no different from that of revitalizing the entire Human Race.
The Human Race was a people coveted by the universe’s Dominator Races, all of whom sought to destroy and plunder them.
The moment he dared to openly unleash Zexing’s evolutionary power, exposing the planet to the myriad races of the universe, he would have to be prepared to face the Dominator Races.
And if he became strong enough to stand against the Dominator Races, wouldn’t that be the same as having revitalized the Human Race?
