I am the Clone of a Death Row Inmate
Chapter 640 363: I Am the Star Lord
The people behind him followed closely.
The moment Su Ze appeared, the Five-Colored Butterfly flapped its wings. Instantly, a string of firecrackers materialized out of thin air, setting off a deafening series of CRACKS and POPS.
"Welcome home, new master!" the Five-Colored Butterfly shouted boisterously.
Su Ze deadpanned. 'This welcoming ceremony is certainly... down-to-earth.'
"You lot, call him master, quickly," the Five-Colored Butterfly commanded.
"That won't be necessary." Su Ze quickly stopped it. He had no intention of making Lin Hua's Legend call him master.
Seeing Su Ze had spoken, the Five-Colored Butterfly didn't press the issue. It casually flew over and landed on Su Ze's shoulder.
Lin Hua's Legend smiled and stepped forward to greet him, and the two experts from the Wol Family and the Stu Family walked up as well.
As for Uur Hogan, his face was grim, and he remained standing where he was.
The dark-skinned man was expressionless, unmoving as a statue.
"Ancestor!" The two experts leading the teams from the Wol Family and the Stu Family stepped forward excitedly to reunite with their respective forefathers.
Although the man who had married into the Stu Family didn't share the Stu surname, the family had shown him great kindness, and many of his descendants were named Stu.
The powerhouse from the Stu Family leading the current team was one of his direct descendants. 'The Stu Family must have arranged this deliberately,' Su Ze thought.
Su Ze also looked at Lin Hua's Legend. Or rather, he was no longer a Legend-rank, but a Star God. The title "Lin Hua's Legend" was no longer fitting.
"Senior Lin Hua," Su Ze said.
Zhou Wenshan and the others also came forward to pay their respects, all behaving reverently toward Lin Hua and addressing him as their junior.
Lin Hua's Legend laughed heartily. "I knew it! The people of my Lin Hua Continent are the most promising!"
After exchanging some pleasantries, they were all formally acquainted.
Lin Hua and the others were extremely curious about Su Ze. They gathered around him, asking all sorts of questions, and soon learned his name and that he hailed from the Dongli Kingdom on Lin Hua Continent.
Lin Hua spoke up. "Su Ze, I know you don't mind, and you don't want us to call you master, but you are the true lord of this place. For our sake, as well as for the people you brought with you, we should have a unified title for you."
Zhou Wenshan nodded in agreement from the side. "Exactly. You can't have order without rules. Su Ze, if you want to properly manage such a large planet and all these people, you have to establish rules starting with the details. No matter how small, nothing can be left to chance."
Su Ze pondered for a moment and nodded. They had a point. 'But what would be a good, unified title?'
'Planet Head?'
The Pope suggested, "In the wider universe, the ruler of a planet is generally addressed as 'Star Lord.' What do you think of that title, Master?"
"'Star Lord?'" Su Ze said, satisfied. "Not bad."
'It sounds much better than 'Planet Head'.'
"Then Star Lord it is," Su Ze decided.
He looked toward Lin Hua's Legend and the others.
Lin Hua's Legend was the first to give a slight bow. "Star Lord."
The ancestor of the Wol Family, who called himself Old Waller, also addressed him without any resistance. "Star Lord!"
The man who had married into the Stu Family, the hook-nosed man named Tano, followed suit obediently. "Star Lord!"
Su Ze then turned his gaze to Uur Hogan and the dark-skinned man at his side. He could see that the two of them were quite defiant.
In these early stages of Zexing's development, Su Ze planned to eliminate all elements of instability.
The thirty thousand people he had brought from Blue Star would certainly obey him, but the same could not be said for the few Star Gods on Zexing.
He was now forcing them to declare their stance.
The dark-skinned man's expression flickered with indecision, but at that moment, the butterfly on Su Ze's shoulder shrieked, "Hei, are you trying to rebel?!"
The dark-skinned man shuddered as if recalling something terrifying. He finally lowered his head. "Star Lord!"
Now, only Uur Hogan had yet to declare his position.
All eyes fell upon him.
But Uur remained silent, his expression so dark it was practically dripping with gloom.
Old Waller frowned slightly. "Uur..."
Tano also gave Uur a strange look, wondering why he was being so difficult. 'Could he have some past grudge with Su Ze?'
Uur had never met Su Ze before, nor had he even heard of him.
But three years ago, just before his departure, he had entrusted a complete puzzle piece to his grandson, Baliss. Without that piece, Su Ze could never have received the inheritance and become the master of Zexing.
Now, Su Ze had not only received the inheritance and arrived on Zexing, but he'd also brought many people with him—including members of the Stu Family and the Wol Family, but not a single person from the Hogan Family.
The implication was self-evident.
He could already guess what had happened.
Uur had placed great hopes in his most beloved grandson, Baliss. He had left the complete fourth puzzle piece to him, even hoping that Baliss himself might one day collect the other three pieces and claim Mr. Ao's inheritance.
So when he heard the Five-Colored Butterfly announce the new master's arrival, he had even dared to hope it would be Baliss.
But not only was the newcomer not Baliss, but not a single member of the Hogan Family was present, while both the Stu Family and the Wol Family had representatives.
This meant Baliss hadn't offered up the fourth puzzle piece willingly—it had been stolen from him. And in that case, one could easily imagine Baliss's fate.
It was even hard to say if the Hogan Family still existed at all.
Uur took a deep breath, suppressed the hatred in his heart, and muttered in a low voice, "Star Lord."
He knew this wasn't the right time to move against Su Ze. Lin Hua and the others would surely side with him, and besides them, there was the butterfly.
Within this base, that butterfly was omnipotent. Uur knew that turning on Su Ze now would be suicide.
But while Uur was willing to swallow his pride and bide his time, Su Ze had no intention of letting him.
Su Ze knew Uur must hate him to the core. He wasn't about to keep a ticking time bomb like that around.
Besides, having just arrived, he needed to make an example of someone to establish his authority.
He knew that Old Waller and the others submitted to him, partly due to Mr. Ao's will and partly because they were bound to this planet, unable to leave.
Lin Hua's compliance was likely out of kinship, as they came from the same continent.
After all, they were all Star Gods. Su Ze looked very young and couldn't have been a Star God for long, whereas Old Waller and Lin Hua had been deities for hundreds of years.
They might acknowledge his potential, but they didn't believe the current Su Ze could be all that powerful.
Ultimately, he had to display his own strength to win their genuine respect.
Su Ze tore away Uur's facade without any pretense. "I killed your grandson, Baliss. There's no need to hide your hatred or your grievances. I'll give you a chance for revenge."
Although he had long suspected it, hearing Su Ze admit it himself still made Uur's eyes turn bloodshot in an instant. He gritted his teeth. "Is the Hogan Family still standing?"
"I wouldn't bother myself with a minor family. Killing Baliss was just to get the puzzle piece."
Hearing that the Hogan Family hadn't been wiped out, Uur regained a sliver of his composure. But he knew that by bringing this into the open, Su Ze was making it clear he intended to settle the score.
There was no point in holding back now; Su Ze would not let him be.
"What do you mean, you'll give me a chance for revenge?"
"A fair duel. If you can kill me, then that's your right."
"You're the one who said it! When? Where?"
"Right now. Right here!"
As the words left his mouth, Su Ze raised his hand and unleashed a Cannon Fist he had already been charging.
A miniature meteor engulfed in a tempest ignored all defenses and struck Uur Hogan with perfect accuracy.
After a deafening BOOM, the tempest dissipated, leaving nothing but a pile of gore on the ground.
The entire area fell silent.
