I am the Clone of a Death Row Inmate
Chapter 623 - 358: Absorbing a God-Level Extract, Divine Grace of Evolution Upgrades
Su Ze wasn’t in a hurry to disassemble his skills. He needed to think things through carefully before making a move.
However, with this ability, upgrading his remaining three Tier-5 skills to Tier-6 would be a piece of cake.
Regarding skill disassembly, Su Ze felt he should consult some experts. He planned to ask Liou Wenxin and the Pope to help him come up with a plan for reference.
Setting the matter of skill disassembly aside for the moment, Su Ze took out a short, emerald-inlaid scepter.
This truncated scepter was the true body of the Mother Tree.
Su Ze briefly communicated with the Mother Tree, explaining that he would leave Blue Star first. Once he had established a foothold in the universe, he would go to the Tree Spirit Race to help her save her master.
The Mother Tree ultimately understood. After all, since Su Ze was bringing so many people with him, he naturally had to settle them in first.
Originally, Su Ze had promised the Mother Tree that once he ascended to godhood, he would take her master on a cosmic journey to find a cure.
But now that the day had actually come, Su Ze had far more to consider.
Even without Zexing as a foothold, Su Ze wouldn’t have dared to go directly to the Tree Spirit Race. After all, that was their territory.
It wasn’t that he distrusted the Mother Tree, but rather her master.
Especially knowing that Intelligent Races preyed upon one another, he was even more hesitant to make contact with other such races.
At the end of the day, the Mother Tree was an existence akin to an Artifact Spirit. If her master decided to move against Su Ze, she would be powerless to stop them.
Even with his perfect evolution, Su Ze was only a single Star God. If he barged into the Tree Spirit Race’s home world and they had malicious intentions, he would have no hope of escape.
Therefore, Su Ze was considering two options. The first was to wait until he was stronger before tackling this matter.
The second was to find a way to cure the Mother Tree’s master himself.
Either way, this would have to wait. It wasn’t something he could do right now.
The Mother Tree suddenly sent another mental message. "Su Ze, I remember you said a human from Blue Star mutated after absorbing a Spirit Plant Extract. He can photosynthesize like a plant, is that right?"
Su Ze paused for a moment before realizing the Mother Tree was talking about Feng Bqing.
’It’s been so long, I’d almost forgotten about him.’
’Come to think of it, Feng Bqing hasn’t shown up in ages. I wonder if he’s even still alive. I still have that device to locate him.’
"Yes, there is someone like that. His name is Feng Bqing," Su Ze replied. "He seems to grow and evolve like a Spiritual Plant, reaching higher life forms without needing to absorb any more extracts." ’Why would the Mother Tree suddenly bring up Feng Bqing?’ he wondered.
"I suggest you take him with you when you leave," the Mother Tree advised. "In the future, when you visit the Tree Spirit Race, you can offer him to them. You should be able to trade him for a significant amount of resources. The ability to photosynthesize like a plant is a subject the Tree Spirit Race has been researching for countless years with little progress. They will definitely be interested in Feng Bqing."
’The Tree Spirit Race is researching how to turn themselves into Tree-men?’
’What a strange quirk.’
’Then again, considering the Tree Spirit Race’s Racial Talent—a natural affinity for plants—I guess I can understand it,’ Su Ze thought. ’If the Tree Spirit Race could master this technology, it could prove to be incredibly useful.’
"Alright, I’ll go capture him in a bit."
It was a simple enough task, so Su Ze didn’t mind doing it. Besides, Feng Bqing was indeed a subject of great research value.
Su Ze rummaged through his pile of storage items for a while before finally finding the device used to locate Feng Bqing.
He then piloted the Magic Cube, following the tracker to Feng Bqing’s location.
When he saw Feng Bqing, Su Ze almost didn’t recognize him.
He had found a patch of fertile, open land, rooted himself in the soil, and was covered in branches and leaves. At first glance, he looked just like a tree!
’He’s not just growing leaves now, he’s even grown roots.’
’The leaves photosynthesize while the roots absorb nutrients from the soil. He’s really got the system down pat.’
Seeing Feng Bqing this time, Su Ze could clearly sense a significant increase in his power. He was now a genuine Venerable Powerhouse... ’Or should I call him a Tier-5 Spiritual Plant?’
Su Ze wasn’t sure what to call him.
Su Ze appeared silently before Feng Bqing. Seeing him motionless, he reached down and yanked him out of the ground.
Feng Bqing struggled, but he was powerless to break free from Su Ze’s grip. He tried to attack, but was easily suppressed.
On their previous encounters, Su Ze had always been extremely cautious, terrified that a lucid Feng Bqing would kill him.
But now, he completely overpowered Feng Bqing.
Feng Bqing was still in a frenzied state and clearly didn’t recognize Su Ze, partly because Su Ze hadn’t used his alias, "Qiangzi."
Su Ze waited for a moment. The vacant look in Feng Bqing’s eyes suddenly sharpened.
That one look told Su Ze that Feng Bqing had temporarily regained his sanity.
The moment he saw Su Ze, his expression instinctively turned vicious. His eyes swirled with a complex mix of emotions: hatred, humiliation, and furious anger.
If it weren’t for Su Ze, he never would have ended up in this wretched state.
He loathed Su Ze with every fiber of his being.
"Die!"
Blinded by hatred, he launched a reckless attack at Su Ze, only to find himself pinned firmly to the ground, completely immobilized.
Feng Bqing forced himself to calm down and finally took stock of his situation.
He stared at Su Ze in disbelief, his mind racing to gauge Su Ze’s current strength.
But no matter how he looked at it, the power Su Ze was now displaying completely overwhelmed his own. This fact astonished Feng Bqing.
’How did Su Ze become stronger than me in the blink of an eye?’
’I remember when I first met him... he was just an ant I could have crushed with a single finger.’
