I Am Not A Goblin Slayer

Chapter 917 - 451: The Marvelous Use of Mechanisms (Part 3)

At this moment, its protective spell is still at work.

"Dispell Magic!"

Gauss swung the White Magic Wand forward, and countless Thunder Serpents in the air dispersed with a bang.

He glanced downwards.

"Magic Missile!"

The title of True Dragon Slayer gave him a small probability chance to deal special attack true damage.

Therefore, the significance of high-frequency attacks becomes apparent.

"Boom boom boom boom boom!"

Dozens of Magic Missiles roared and erupted from the tip of Gauss’s Magic Staff.

They bombarded downward with a tendency of total coverage towards the Blue Dragon crouching in "recovery mode".

"Bang bang bang!"

The vast majority of Magic Missiles fell on the Blue Dragon’s body surface, mercilessly deflected by its protective spell, creating craters on the ground.

Yet, a very small portion of the Magic Missiles triggered the special attack.

These missiles pierced through the Blue Dragon’s protective spell and exploded on its body surface.

"Roar!!!"

The Blue Dragon quickly sensed a heart-striking pain.

Again, this strange force!

The high-frequency missile barrage still descends like a storm.

Ordinary missiles can weaken the strength of the Blue Dragon’s protective spell, while those triggering special attacks can cause true damage.

Whether the Blue Dragon is recovering from injuries or replenishing its protective spell, all require energy consumption.

Normal creatures cannot engage in such a war of attrition.

But Gauss is different. Under the Dragon and Ghost Contract, his magic power is not less than the Giant Dragon’s, and even exceeds it by a lot.

After all, he possesses numerous methods such as [Feast] and [Three-Phase Source Power] to continuously restore magic power.

"Boom boom boom!"

In less than a minute, Gauss fired hundreds and thousands of missile showers.

Under the map cannon baptism of Gauss, the land beneath the Blue Dragon was pressed down one or two meters.

Its momentum also began to decline.

Gauss, flying higher into the sky, exchanged a glance with the unyielding-eyed Blue Dragon below him.

"You want to drag me down in your dying moments?"

Gauss slightly curved his lips and spoke heart-piercing words in dragon language.

He certainly wouldn’t give the opponent this opportunity.

Unlike the other three dragons, this magic-savvy Blue Dragon seemed to have gained more inheritance from its bloodline.

Even if the True Dragon with inheritance is weaker in strength, it still needs utmost caution.

The young Blue Dragon, whose intent was exposed, flashed hatred and despair in its eyes.

As Gauss suspected, its inheritance included methods to retaliate against opponents before dying.

Just by fully sacrificing dragon blood, it could leave the enemy with a Dragon Grudge Curse.

Unfortunately, though this curse could supposedly be cast remotely, it recently sensed its end coming and just prepared to cast the spell when it detected a higher-dimensional force within Gauss’s body preventing its curse.

Therefore, it feared it needed to get closer to actually cast it upon the enemy.

But even this sole attempt seemed to be seen through by him.

"Roar!!"

The Blue Dragon roared furiously, then its entire body radiated dazzling blue light as blood infused with immense magic power surged within, causing its body to rapidly swell.

"Self-destruct?"

Gauss didn’t expect the opponent to be so self-centered, to self-destruct without a word, unwilling to even leave a complete corpse.

"Dawn!"

"Dawn!"

"Dawn!"

He successively cast three layers of Dawn into the Blue Dragon’s heart.

The final third Dawn triggered the special attack true damage of the title.

Because the Blue Dragon’s protective spell had previously been drastically consumed, the effect of this attack was particularly good.

Of course, this was no coincidence but pseudo-random, as he had just counted silently, the last dozens of missiles hadn’t triggered a critical hit.

And the title’s mechanism seemed to increase the probability of triggering as the attack means became more advanced. Coupled with releasing Dawn three times in a row, the final success was not due to mere luck.

"Boom!"

Just before the Blue Dragon was about to self-destruct.

A beam of light descended from the sky piercing through its heart.

"Pffsshh!"

Like a deflating balloon, the Blue Dragon’s swollen body ultimately didn’t explode but slowly collapsed.

"Killed extraordinary creature Blue Dragon (young stage) *1"

Gauss saw the notification and breathed a sigh of relief.

In the end, he proved superior, safeguarding his spoils of war.

The weak don’t have the freedom to choose their manner of death.
