I Am Immortal in Great Yu
Chapter 348 - 134: Slaying a God 3
Chapter 348: Chapter 134: Slaying a God 3
"What is this?!"
Fang Rui raised his head and gazed into the distance.
Beneath a canopy of endless, fiery clouds, the entire ten-li expanse of this Alternate Space was bathed in the orange-red glow of dusk.
Visible at a glance was a towering mountain of white, jade-like pebbles. Reishi Immortal Medicine grew everywhere on its slopes, emitting a gentle immortal glow amidst swirling, misty clouds.
Beside it, a magnificent river surged, filled entirely with liquefied Spiritual Qi.
Beyond that, boundless thickets of fiery red flowers stretched as far as the eye could see.
On that White Stone Mountain sat a cross-legged figure with long white hair and brows, as elegant and ethereal as an Immortal.
"Master Bao?!"
Fang Rui had seen a portrait of Bao Sichun before, and he narrowed his eyes as he spoke.
"It is I. I am Bao Sichun, the Master Bao of whom you speak."
Bao Sichun wore the Cloud Mist Immortal Robe, his wide sleeves fluttering. He had the ethereal air of a sage. "All who come here are brought by fate. Partake of the immortal medicine, drink from the Spiritual Spring, and you shall attain eternal life..."
Above his head, Spiritual Qi swirled, forming a massive vortex.
Behind him, his Half-Immortal Dharma Aspect unfurled, solemn and majestic. Auspicious clouds rose from it, and streams of flowing light cascaded down like a beaded curtain.
Furthermore, as Bao Sichun spoke, endless petals of every color drifted down from the sky as Golden Lotuses bloomed up from the ground. It was a true vision of heavenly flowers raining down and golden lotuses bursting from the earth.
Had any other Cultivator come here, they would surely have been mesmerized. For Bao Sichun was truly preaching the Dao—the very path to eternal life!
"Alas!"
But Fang Rui suddenly let out a sigh. He closed his eyes, using his Martial Arts Intuition to perceive the world around him.
Instantly, it was as if his true sight had opened.
What surging Spiritual Qi? There was only boundless, dense, black Yin Qi and Evil Qi!
Beneath a crimson canopy, the entire ten-li expanse of this Alternate Space was shrouded in a blood-red light.
The White Stone Mountain was a White Bone Mountain. The Reishi Immortal Medicine were stalks of flesh-reishi planted in human heads, seething with bloody energy and saturated with Evil Qi.
The surging river of liquefied Spiritual Qi was a blackish-red river of blood, its surface reflecting countless, densely packed faces.
Those vast thickets of fiery red flowers were Beyond-the-World Flowers, planted in soil made of pulped flesh and blood!
Bao Sichun’s appearance had also changed.
He was now an old man in a tattered Daoist Robe, toothless and hairless, with a crooked mouth and twisted eyes. His eyes, nose, and mouth seemed to have been haphazardly slapped onto his face like a puppet’s, constantly contorting as if seen in a funhouse mirror.
But strangely, despite all this, he wasn’t ugly. He possessed a deformed, bewitching beauty that tempted one toward depravity.
Above his head, the swirling vortex of Spiritual Qi was, in reality, an endless torrent of black energy pouring from the void. As it churned, wisps of it escaped.
This was the source of the black clouds outside!
His voice was different, too.
"I am Bao Sichun, but Bao Sichun is not me."
Bao Sichun mumbled incoherently, then gave a bizarre smile. "All who come here are brought by fate. Partake of the flesh-reishi, drink from the filthy spring, and you shall attain eternal life..."
Behind him, his Half-Immortal Dharma Aspect unfurled. Its eyes were hollow, weeping tears of blood, as black energy swirled chaotically and a dreadful Yin Qi radiated outwards.
And as Bao Sichun spoke, putrid blossoms of blood drifted down from the sky, while blackish-red, human-headed lotuses bloomed and withered on the ground in a constant cycle.
An Immortal preaching the Dao?
This was clearly a Deceit Immortal bestowing his wicked teachings!
Yet this voice, swirling and echoing, possessed a strange, bewitching quality. Even after seeing the truth, it was filled with a strange, seductive Magic Power, making one unable to resist listening and becoming immersed.
Because this was the Dao that Cultivators pursued their entire lives—the ultimate truth, and... eternal life!
’This is a path, the Deceit Path, but it is not my path. And the eternal life I seek is not something I need to beg from you!’
Fang Rui centered his being, his mind becoming as firm as a rock, unmoving and unshakable.
’A mere Ghost dares to bewilder my mind? You’re courting death!’
He sneered inwardly and suddenly roared, "Insolence! Bao Sichun, I could tell you weren’t human at a single glance!"
SWOOSH!
He unleashed a Limit-Breaking slash. It was a world-ending blow that shattered the illusion like a dissipating mirage, parting the river of blood and cleaving the bone mountain as it flew straight for Bao Sichun.
