Chapter 120: Chapter 120: Just Like An Icy, Majestic Beauty

"Yeah... though ’tag along’ is definitely putting it way too generously! I certainly don’t go out of my own free will." Jiang Boqin grumbled dramatically. "They basically drag me along as their designated personal porter to haul all their heavy shopping bags!"

Jiang Suhan let out a quiet, genuine laugh at his younger cousin’s relatable plight.

"Well, you should honestly be grateful for all that hands-on practice." Jiang Fenfang stated nonchalantly, tossing a playful smirk over her shoulder. "When you finally manage to land a girlfriend in the future, you’ll already know exactly what to expect during a shopping date!"

"What girlfriend?! Stop spewing utter nonsense!" Jiang Boqin barked, getting adorably defensive.

"Oh? My, my... You seem awfully defensive and touchy the second anyone utters the word ’girlfriend.’" Jiang Fenfang teased, her eyes lighting up with sudden, sharp curiosity. "Don’t tell me you already have a secret crush on someone?!"

"I would not even dare to dream of getting a girlfriend!" Jiang Boqin rolled his eyes dramatically toward the ceiling. "I am genuinely terrified that I will accidentally end up dating a feisty girl just like you!"

"And what exactly is that supposed to mean, ’someone like me’?!" Jiang Fenfang gasped, instantly raising her hand as if preparing to smack the back of Jiang Boqin’s head.

Spotting her raised palm in time, Jiang Boqin swiftly ducked and darted backwards, using Jiang Suhan’s broad frame as a human shield.

"See?! This is precisely what I am talking about!" Jiang Boqin shouted out from behind Jiang Suhan’s shoulder. "A violent girl who raises her hand to strike me at the slightest provocation! How could I possibly dare to think about romance?!"

"You little—!" Jiang Fenfang glared daggers at him, pointing an accusing finger. "Just you wait until we get back home!"

Jiang Suhan burst into hearty laughter at their endless sibling antics, and even Qiao Meixia could not help letting out a faint, quiet chuckle. The retail staff standing nearby could not contain their amusement either, hiding their smiles behind their hands at the lively group.

After browsing through the collection, they ended up selecting five complete sets of stylish casual wear for Qiao Meixia. With their daily wardrobe shopping successfully sorted, the group made their way over to a high-end designer boutique specialising in formal evening gowns.

The moment they stepped through the glass doors, Jiang Suhan’s eyes were immediately drawn toward a particular display piece hanging in the primary showroom. It was not a standard, Western-style ballgown, but rather an exquisitely tailored, vintage-style New Chinese qipao. The dress possessed a magnificent, timeless elegance, and he knew instantly that Qiao Meixia’s slender frame and quiet poise would wear it with breathtaking grace.

Approaching the sales consultant, Jiang Suhan gestured toward the display. "Excuse me, do you happen to have this dress in her size?"

He pointed gracefully toward Qiao Meixia. The sales consultant turned to look at Qiao Meixia. Being highly experienced in high-end couture, a single glance was all she needed to accurately gauge the young lady’s exact proportions.

"Yes, we certainly have her size in stock." The sales consultant replied with a warm, polished smile. "Why don’t I bring it out right away so this young miss can try it on?"

"Yes, please. That would be wonderful." Jiang Suhan nodded approvingly.

"Please wait here for just a moment. Feel free to browse through the rest of our collection in the meantime." The consultant offered politely before stepping away into the private inventory room.

Watching her walk off, Jiang Fenfang turned to her cousin with admiration.

"Brother Suhan truly has an incredible eye for fashion. That dress looks absolutely stunning." Jiang Fenfang commented.

"Yeah, I completely agree." Jiang Boqin shared his thoughts as well. "It carries such a refined, classic elegance that perfectly matches Cousin Meixia’s aura."

"Exactly! Just like an icy, majestic beauty." Jiang Fenfang nodded in agreement.

Moments later, the consultant returned and invited the four of them into the boutique’s exclusive VVIP suite. Inside the luxurious private room, she presented the exquisitely tailored gown.

"Qiaoqiao, why don’t you try it on to see how it fits?" Jiang Suhan suggested gently.

"Is it truly necessary for me to try it on?" Qiao Meixia asked, eyeing the intricate fabric hesitantly.

"Of course it is." Jiang Suhan reasoned smoothly. "If we simply purchase it and end up discovering that the cut does not suit your frame properly, it would be an absolute waste of money. Wouldn’t you agree?"

Sitting side-by-side, Jiang Fenfang and Jiang Boqin exchanged a quick, knowing glance. A single look was all it took for them to realise they were thinking the exact same thing, and both of them desperately bit their lips to refrain from bursting into laughter. Their eldest cousin was an absolute master at using clever reverse psychology! The price tag of this single designer dress was likely a microscopic fraction of his vast fortune, yet he played the frugal card brilliantly.

Qiao Meixia fell into a thoughtful silence. His logic was undeniably sound. She thoroughly loathed the concept of wasting money unnecessarily.

"Fine. I will go and try it on." Qiao Meixia conceded, carefully accepting the garment from the sales consultant before stepping into the spacious fitting room.

Jiang Fenfang and Jiang Boqin looked at each other, their eyes wide with disbelief.

"Did that actually just work?!" Jiang Fenfang whispered, visibly surprised.

"Yeah... it worked like an absolute charm." Jiang Boqin murmured back, equally stunned.

Jiang Suhan allowed a soft, triumphant smile to trace his lips. He felt as though the complex puzzle he had been patiently piecing together with his distant sister was finally making genuine, rewarding progress.

Five minutes later, the fitting room door glided open, and Qiao Meixia stepped out into the suite.

The moment she appeared, Jiang Suhan, Jiang Fenfang, and Jiang Boqin fell completely silent, utterly mesmerised by the vision before them.

"Young Miss, you look breathtakingly stunning." The sales consultant praised softly, breaking the spellbound quiet.

Her voice finally snapped the three siblings back to reality.

"Cousin Meixia, you look so ridiculously gorgeous!" Jiang Boqin praised enthusiastically.

"Cousin Meixia, I swear, if I were a man and not your direct cousin, I would be begging you to be my girlfriend right this second!" Jiang Fenfang declared dramatically.

Jiang Suhan’s smile widened, and he nodded repeatedly in deep satisfaction as he admired how perfectly the dress suited Qiao Meixia. He was more than pleased with the result.

"We will definitely take this one." Jiang Suhan announced without a second thought.

"Wonderful! I shall go process the transaction for you immediately." The sales consultant beamed, delighted by the swift sale.

"I will go change back into my clothes." Qiao Meixia said, slipping back behind the fitting room curtain.

"Ah! I completely forgot to snap a picture!" Jiang Fenfang let out a dramatic sigh of regret.

"Well, Cousin Meixia will be wearing the dress to the banquet soon anyway. You can take as many photos as your heart desires when the time comes." Jiang Boqin pointed out practically.

"Hmm... you make a valid point." Jiang Fenfang agreed, nodding along.

Jiang Suhan walked over to the front desk to settle the invoice. While making the payment, he also instructed the boutique staff to arrange direct home delivery for both the gown and the casual outfits they had selected earlier.

By the time Qiao Meixia emerged back in her comfortable casual wear, everything was finalised. The four of them stepped out of the high-end store together.

"Alright! Now that our official shopping duties are taken care of, let’s go have some real fun!" Jiang Boqin proposed excitedly.

"What should we start with first?" Jiang Suhan asked, looking at the younger ones.

"Let’s head up to the fifth floor!" Jiang Fenfang suggested instantly. "I heard they have an incredible indoor ice-skating rink up there. Let’s go try it out."

"Yeah, let’s definitely do that!" Jiang Boqin chimed in.

With their next activity settled, the group made their way up to the fifth level, home to the massive indoor ice arena. After completing the registration process and securing their proper skating boots, they laced up their footwear and eagerly stepped out onto the slick, frozen surface.

Even though it was by no means his first time on the ice, Jiang Boqin immediately struggled to maintain his footing, flailing his arms wildly as he wobbled back and forth.

"Hahaha! You literally do this every single time we go skating!" Jiang Fenfang teased mercilessly, laughing at her brother’s clumsiest moments.

Jiang Boqin felt his face flush with mild embarrassment. Still, he comforted himself with the thought that he surely would not be the only uncoordinated one out here.
