Chapter 260 - Albion's Encouragement
"Frozen layer of the Underworld?"
Fenriri's eyes widened with surprise before she asked incredulously, "Does such a mythical place truly exist?"
"Of course it does," Albion smiled and said, "Why? You can believe in the existence of gods, but you can't accept the existence of an underworld where dead souls go?"
"Uh, it's not like that, Master," Fenriri shook her head and said, "It's just that we've never come in contact with such a place before, so it's shocking to hear it's real."
"Nevertheless, what should we do about this, Master? These Frost Demons just keep spawning out from the ground without end, and they seem hostile to all life. If we don't do anything, won't the Netherfrost Blizzard Realm turn into a wasteland of the dead?"
"Hm, you have a point," Albion agreed before he paused and said, "However, the presence of the frozen layer of the Underworld isn't exactly a bad thing."
"How is not a bad thing, Master?" Fenriri raised an eyebrow at Albion's statement.
"Well, don't you think this place is currently the perfect place for you to become stronger?" Albion casually glanced at her before he said, "Not only are there plenty of Frost Demons to grind for EXP, the spiritual energy around here has become much denser."
"Ah?" Fenriri exclaimed.
Shortly after taking in a deep breath, Fenriri felt the vibrant spiritual energy in the area before she exclaimed with surprise, "You're right, Master! The Life Aura here truly became denser!"
"Well, we still have things to do, so we can only come back another time to train," Albion casually said as he walked a few paces north before suddenly drilling his arm into the snowy ground.
The leather bag they lost was shortly pulled out before Albion tossed it to Fenriri and said, "Let us head back to where your sister is. I'm sure you are still eager to gift the Resplendent Snow Pill to her."
"Yeah!" Fenriri answered.
She quickly checked the inventory of the leather bag before she patted her chest with relief, seeing that the 'precious' goods in the bag were safe.
Suddenly, Fenriri noticed Frost Demon latched onto her master's leg before she mentioned it, "Master, you have a Frost Demon chewing on your leg…"
"Albion glanced down with surprise before he exclaimed, "When did this thing get here? F*ck off!"
With a strong shake, all of the Frost Demon's teeth shattered before it was flung off into the distance.
"Haiz, even my pants have been ruined," Albion shook his head with a sigh before he waved his hand and decimated all the Frost Demons in the area with a powerful gust of wind.
+1620 EXP
+1350 EXP
+1470 EXP
+1730 EXP
Ding!
<You have leveled up!>
<You have become a Lv.50 Hunter>
<[Status]: Level 50 Hunter; 3,520/10,000,000 EXP (0.004% Progress)>
…
Dozens of Frost Demons were killed before Albion received a string of system notifications and leveled up once.
"If I recalled correctly, Thanatos only reached Lv.54 Hunter recently. Just like that, I caught up the Emperors' two years of hunting, huh? That was easier than I thought," Albion thought.
Ding!
[That is because the host already possesses the strength to slay higher lifeforms. Furthermore, the 10th Tribulation Lightning has aided the host in wiping out numerous powerful creatures of the void in the past two instances.]
Goldfinger informed.
'True… I've almost forgotten about this matter, but to think there are so many creatures lurking in the void out there… Wouldn't I have accidentally reach Lv.100 immediately if the attack blew up a planet full of life?' Albion thought.
[Negative. With the staggering amount of EXP required to reach Level 100 Hunter, even 100 Earths might not be enough unless all lifeforms living on it possess a certain level of power.]
Goldfinger calculated.
'I was only saying. No need to get all technical with me. Nevertheless, it is fortunate that it did not happen. Otherwise, I would have definitely generated a lot of bad karma,' Albion thought.
Of course, if Goldfinger existed in living flesh, Albion would have shot the thing. How dare it flaunts its math in front of him!
Albion and Fenriri eventually left the central region of the transported frozen layer as they headed back the way they came from.
As they reached the perimeter of the region, sounds of battle could be heard before Fenriri pointed with her free hand and said, "Look, Master! People are fighting!"
"Un, I can see that," Albion casually acknowledged with a nod before he indifferently said, "No need to mind them. They seem quite busy grinding EXP. Thus, we shouldn't interrupt their business."
"Oh, okay," Fenriri nodded obediently and no longer minded people desperately fighting back the Frost Demons for survival.
Boom!
A group of Frost Demons was immediately flung away by Albion's casual swing of an arm after a portion of the Frost Demons were attracted to him before they continued on their way.
The scout team was immediately surprised by Albion's brute strength.
As such, just as Albion and Fenriri were about to leave, the dog-man in the group quickly shouted, "Wait! Don't leave! Please help us!"
"Oh?" Albion paused his steps and turned to the group of people surrounded by Frost Demons before he agreed, "Sure."
Albion immediately raised a clenched fist at the dog-man's group and encouraged them, "Fighting! You can do it, young heroes!"
The dog-man, elf, and human were immediately put at a loss for words despite their dire situation, not knowing whether to laugh or cry.
Does the person not understand what they meant, or are they pretending not to understand?!
"That's not what I meant!" the dog-man quickly shouted.
"Oh, so that's what you meant," Albion exclaimed as he hammered his palm with a look of understanding before he said generously, "Alright, you can tell me your last wills. I will make sure the word reaches your family at home."
"Pfft!"
Albion's words nearly caused all three scouts to puke blood from excessive anger and frustration.
They were not asking for his help to send their last words back to their families!
"Master…"
Fenriri tugged Albion's sleeve before he chuckled and said, "I know, I know. I am just messing with them."
Albion quickly withdrew the Tier-6 Obsidian Sword and made a swing.
Boom!
A mighty sword wave instantly cleaved apart the land and eliminated one-third of the Frost Demons surrounding the three scouts!
