Chapter 216 - Mental Bullets
"That...shouldn't be possible... The Lord has always been a strict and punctual person..." Polemos mentioned before adding with a frown, "At least, that was the case in the past anyway."
Recalling the Lord's current behavior, it was as if the Lord had become a completely different person.
But at the same time, he also likes the new version of the Lord better. The Lord felt less distant and warmer.
No homo, though.
"Hmm, I better give the Lord a call and see when he'll be on his way," Polemos's lips twitched and said.
Shortly after, the call connected before Polemos could hear the sounds of battle on the other side, causing him to be surprised.
…
Albion sat on the spaceship ramp with Fenriri and Fenrira as they hovered high in the skies above Stronghold 02 and observed the ongoing battle below.
"Death to the rebels!"
"Death to the rebels!"
A valiant wolf-man roared and led his wolf-people to attack other wolf-people within the stronghold, spreading the chaos of destruction and death across the entire place.
"That's Brother Fenrio!" Fenriri exclaimed with pleasant surprise upon recognizing the wolf-man leading the counterattack on the rebels.
At the same time, Fenrira's eyes flickered before she said, "Brother Fenrio must have realized Uncle Bahram's grand ambition!"
"However, Brother Fenrio's forces are obviously outnumbered and overwhelmed by Uncle Bahram's warriors. They must have made the first move on Brother Fenrio!" Fenriri knitted her brows with worry.
"Right!" Fenrira nodded solemnly and said, "Uncle Bahram's warriors have all been blessed by the world's mysterious power. Brother Fenrio is going to lose."
Bam, bam!
Wolf-people was flung helplessly through the air as they crashed into sturdy buildings and causing large dents on its alloyed walls.
"Don't give up! They may be stronger, but we haven't lost if we still have our will to fight!" Fenrio shouted.
Nevertheless, he could see that the situation was terrible.
His loyal subordinates were quickly taken down one after another before they were eventually cornered.
"Prince Fenrio, you're resistance is futile. Just accept your death. Without the blessing of the new world, you cannot beat us. And neither can your father defeat Lord Bahram. Even Aura Emperors might not necessarily be a match for the current Lord Bahram," a wolf-man rebel spoke.
As Fenrira and Fenriri witness the deteriorating situation, Fenriri shortly turned to Albion and pleaded, "Can you save our Brother Fenrio, Master?"
"If he is willing to submit to me, I don't mind saving him," Albion responded casually.
"He will!" Fenriri stated definitely before adding with a clenched fist, "Fenriri will make sure to persuade that Brother Fenrio does, Master!"
"Well, alright then—"
Ring, ring…
Albion suddenly paused before accepting the call.
"Is there a problem, Polemos?" Albion asked.
"It sounds like my Lord is quite busy over there… Should I call back later?" Polemos suggested hesitantly on the other side.
However, Albion shook his head and said casually with an unhurried tone, "No need. Just tell me what you need."
"Well… Your welcoming banquet is about to begin. All the guests have already been gathered and presented at the venue. The only one left is you, my Lord. Have you forgotten?" Polemos asked.
"Ah? Forgotten?" Albion exclaimed softly before he chuckled wryly, "Of course… not. I've just been a bit busy over here and most likely late."
"How late will you be, my Lord? The banquet cannot start without you," Polemos inquired hurriedly before the Lord decided to hang up suddenly.
"Well, late is late. Just make it a mystery banquet and play a guessing game with the guests. Tell them I am hidden among them or something," Albion nonchalantly said.
"But…"
"Master!"
As Polemos hesitated to speak, Fenriri cried and said, "Please hurry, Master! Brother Fenrio is about to be killed!"
"Oh right," Albion softly exclaimed and hung up the call.
Shortly after, he glanced back down at the situation and noticed that Fenrio had been beaten to a pulp.
His body was battered, and his face was filled with bruises and swelling to the point of becoming unrecognizable.
"Oops."
Albion rubbed his head wryly before leaping off the spaceship ramp and plunge to the ground directly.
…
Meanwhile, Fenrio groveled on the ground like the rest of his subordinates, all bound and immobilized by the wolf-men rebels.
"If you had just surrendered obediently, you wouldn't have to go through all this suffering, Prince Fenrio," the wolf-man rebel patted Fenrio's swollen cheeks rudely before saying, "Well, that's enough playing around."
"It's time to end this. Kill them a—!"
Boom!
Before the wolf-man rebel could finish speaking, he was crushed to death underneath Albion's heavy landing.
"Lord Bahtos!"
"Where did this hairless monkey come from!"
The wolf-men rebels quickly shot to their feet with alarm before gazing up with shrunk pupils and noticed a black object in the sky.
Shortly after, they glared back at Albion before one of the wolf-men rebels barked, "Kill him!"
"Avenge Lord Bahtos!"
"Step back, all of you. I have guns in my hands, and I am not afraid to use them," Albion stated coolly while pointing his finger-guns at them.
The wolf-men rebels immediately paused with a mixture of confusion and surprise by Albion's antics and fluent speech.
Nevertheless, an impatient wolf-man rebel thundered, "What are you waiting for?! Kill this foolish monkey now!"
"Bang!"
Albion immediately shot the first wolf-man rebel with his mental force and sent the person flying back before continuing his barrage of the following targets.
"Bang! Bang! Bang!"
Mental bullets formed by Empyrean's Decree struck every wolf-men rebel flying before Albion secured the area and said coolly, "Don't say that I didn't warn you."
Albion's strength and powerful presence stunned everyone in the area as the rebel reinforcements rushing over were quickly rooted on the spot.
"You want some too?" Albion glanced over casually.
The wolf-men rebels quickly shook their heads before Albion squatted down beside Fenrio and asked him, "Fenrio, right? You good?"
Hearing his name, Fenrio struggled to peel one of his swollen eyes open but still failed to see Albion's figure clearly due to blood obscuring his vision.
He could only raise his shaking arm and give Albion a thumbs up in response.
