Chapter 205 - Let Him Rot In There
After listening to Albion's words, Fenriri and Fenrira's eyes lit up before Fenrira, "Yes, Master! Thank you! I will do just that right away!"
Shortly after, Fenrira separated from her younger sister and quickly went over to interrogate the group of wolf-men, who appeared to have been Bahrain's closest subordinates.
Fenriri appeared to have something to say but hesitated.
Albion noticed her expression and casually said, "Let us go for a walk."
"Yes, Master," Fenriri complied obediently.
As they began to tour around Stronghold 01, Albion shortly asked, "What are you hesitating about? Speak freely."
"Yes, Master," Fenriri nodded and said with wrinkled brows, "Fenriri doesn't understand. Although Master appears to be helping us out of self-interest, you are actually nice and kind."
"Wrong. Integrating the Iceborn Wolf Tribe into my organization has always been my main interest. I just don't discriminate races," Albion stated calmly.
Shortly after, he added, "Also, your wolf-people have interesting abilities that put you all above regular humans. Such a strong force naturally must be added to my organization."
"Still, won't this still put Master in opposition with the rest of humanity and cause trouble for Master?" Fenriri asked.
"You're wrong again," Albion shook his head and said boldly, "No one can give me trouble, nor does anyone want to stand in my way. They can only bend to my will. Only one result awaits those who oppose me, death."
"Fenriri still doesn't understand," Fenriri furrowed her brows more deeply in thought before she muttered with doubt, "It almost seems like Master is trying to raise an army, but for what purpose?"
"To live," Albion simply stated.
"To live?" Fenriri was immediately stunned before she asked with disbelief, "Is there something out there that can even make Master feel threatened?"
"Naturally, there is. I am the strongest in this world, but only the strongest in this world. There are many worlds out there. You should know this better since you came from a different one," Albion stated.
"Supposedly, the Apocalypse will bring an end to all worlds. But from what I have seen and observed, the myriad worlds are being connected, and eventually, I believe all will converge at some point."
"There's a place called the Nine Divine Heavens that exists out there. Each Divine Heaven is equivalent to the size of this world's universe. And in those places, the beings at my level of strength and stronger are numerous," Albion explained and said, "You can call them Immortals, or simply, cultivators."
Perhaps, Earth was amongst one of the stars in the infinitely vast Nine Divine Heavens. However, the Dark Emperor had never traveled beyond the solar system to figure that out.
After hearing about the existence of the Nine Divine Heavens, Fenriri suddenly found her own existence to be as insignificant as a speck of dust in the vast cosmos.
"Nevertheless, I am not too concerned about these Immortals for the time being. Given time and resources, I will also reach the peak and become the strongest of all worlds. What's important comes after."
"What do you think will happen after all the world converges? To stipulate the end of all life, something big would have to happen at that point, right?" Albion said.
Fenriri furrowed her brows in thought for a moment before shaking her head. The news was too incredulous for her to absorb and come up with a guest.
Nevertheless, she determined that her master might have an idea regarding the matter as observed from Albion's expression.
"Fenriri cannot guess," Fenriri shook her head in response before saying, "But Master knows what will happen, right?"
Albion simply smiled slightly without answering.
He did have a guess in mind, but nothing more than that. There was a reasoning behind his guess but no evidence to back it up.
Thus, he deemed it unnecessary to mention it lest it overwhelms the wolf-girl.
"Hey, hey! When are you going to let us out?!" an A-rank Hunter hollered at Albion from his cage after becoming impatient with his casual stroll with Fenriri.
Albion casually glanced over before he responded nonchalantly, "Why should I do that? Do I know you?"
"Do you know me, you say…?" The A-rank Hunter repeated and nearly faintly before he furiously said, "Isn't it normal for a fellow human to help another fellow human out?! What do you mean why?! Weren't you sent by the Hunter Association Headquarters to save us?!"
"Aren't you getting things wrong here? I have nothing to do with the Hunter Association and definitely not here to save you," Albion stated before asking, "If there's no benefit in saving you, why should I bother?"
"You're not?" the A-rank Hunter widened his eyes before exclaiming, "If you aren't, then what are you doing here?! No, never mind that! Even if you aren't, isn't it part of the Buddhist doctrine to be merciful and benevolent?! Why is a monk like you asking about benefits?!"
Albion's expression immediately darkened before he gnashed his teeth and asked, "Son of a b*tch, who are you calling a monk?!"
"You're not?"
The A-rank Hunter received another wave of surprise as he was taken back before responded snappishly, "F*ck. If you're not a monk, then why did you shave your head bald? You look ridiculous."
What a waste of a handsome face! If he had such a face, he definitely would not have gone bald like this person.
At the same time, veins protruded on Albion's forehead before he snapped, "B*tch! Even when bald, I look f*cking fabulous!"
"Come, Fenriri. Let this person rot in his cage," Albion stated shortly after before flicking his wrist and leaving the area furiously.
"W-Wait! Come back! I'm sorry! Can we talk this out?! Benefits, right, benefits! Let us talk about that! What kind of benefit do you want?! My Melnick family and I, Lander Melnick, will definitely be able to satisfy it!" the A-rank Hunter shouted.
However, his words simply fell on deaf ears.
Albion ignored the person's plea and continued leaving as Fenriri quickly caught up and asked curiously, "Master, since this person annoyed you so, why didn't you kill him?"
"What am I, some killing maniac?" Albion responded before shaking his head and said, "Death is too easy for him. Just let him suffer in his cage."
Fenriri was immediately stunned.
Why does that sound worse than death for some reason?
Her Master was so petty!
