Chapter 157 - Need To Use The Toilet?
After the incident with Young Master Lukas of the Waldschmidt family inside the private poker room ended, the poker game continued as if nothing had happened.
"Since Lukas Waldschmidt was killed by me, no one will object to his chips belonging to me, right?" Albion casually asked while taking his seat in Lukas Waldschmidt's original spot to join the game.
Excluding the pot in the middle, Lukas Waldschmidt had brought an additional $22 million in chips to the table, which eventually all ended up in Albion's pockets.
"Of course not, Young Master Albion."
The young masters at the poker table were quick to deny claims on Albion's spoils.
"Since you dare kill Lukas Waldschmidt, the spoils naturally yours." Young Master Gavino added before asking, "But how do you plan to deal with the Waldschmidt family's revenge?"
"I differentiate between grudge and gratitude clearly. If the Waldschmidt family doesn't want to court death, death won't come for them," Albion casually replied before adding, "Besides, I don't think they learn of the news so soon, or would they?"
As he said this, Albion gave everyone at the table a sweeping glance.
Everyone immediately felt slight pressure from his gaze, but of course, the one who felt the greatest pressure of them all was the male dealer.
"Nothing happened here, Young Master Albion," the male dealer said nervously after Albion's gaze fell on him.
However, Albion simply shrugged at the person's response.
"It doesn't matter. I do not fear the Waldschmidt family's retaliation," Albion said nonchalantly before his gaze was transfixed on the dealer with a sudden solemnness, "However, it will be a problem if the casino tries to kick me out."
After all, he had yet to earn big from the casino.
"You don't need to worry about that, Young Master Albion," the male dealer assured with a wry look.
What a joke.
Young Master Albion had killed Lukas Waldschmidt like he was butchering a chicken and reduced everything to ashes. It was clear that he was powerful—or at the very least, more powerful than Metti Group's boss.
Who would dare to earn this person's ire by trying to kick them out?
"All is well then." Albion nodded.
Shortly after, the poker game continued from where they last left off.
Despite that being the case, the young masters could not wrap their heads around the source of Young Master Albion's confidence.
"Young Master Albion, are you a disciple from one of the Ancient Sects, the Ancient Buddha Sect perhaps?" Young Master Gavino inquired.
Albion immediately rubbed his head. After feeling that his hair had grown back somewhat, he flashed the person a glance.
"Why do you ask? Do I look like a bald monk to you?"
"Eh, no. The Ancient Buddha Sect just happens to hold great influence in the entire region of Draco county."
"Also, we are curious where your confidence stems from," Young Master Godfrey stated.
"My confidence? Heh, perhaps you will learn something about it if you stay in this city long enough," Albion stated on his turn.
Young Master Godfrey open his mouth, but no words came out. Since the person did not want to divulge further information, he could only shake his head.
The poker game quickly reached the final round with a flip of the river card.
Albion glanced at Lukas Waldschmidt's original hand, only to find a Three of Spade and Four of Clubs. Needless to say, it was a garbage hand.
He had no chance of winning.
"Fold."
"Fold."
"Fold."
The young masters suddenly began folding their hands on their final turns, causing Albion to raise an eyebrow in response.
"What's the meaning of this?" Albion asked.
"I hope Young Master Albion can accept this gift as a token of our friendship," Gavino Vinci said.
"What are you talking about? Does it even make sense to gift me something that I've won?" Albion said speechlessly before adding, "Since you all folded, the pot naturally belongs to me."
"…"
Gavino Vinci's lips twitched.
The other six young masters nearly staggered at the same time.
It was obvious that they intentionally let Young Master Albion win by folding. But at the same time, they have no way to refute when Young Master Albion put it like that.
"My apologies. Then next time, I will prepare a proper gift. I have to take my leave and return to my family now. However, I hope we can be friends," Gavino Vinci stated.
Although he had yet to learn of Young Master Albion's true identity. It would not hurt the family's interest to stay on this person's good side.
"We will also take our leave, Young Master Albion. Let us meet again next time."
The young masters began standing up and taking their leave after bidding farewell with some friendly gestures one by one.
The subordinates followed after them promptly.
It was not long before Albion was left with the dealer and one other young master and his four subordinates.
It was Young Master Zexi of the Cui family.
Being left alone with Young Master Albion, the pressure that Cui Zexi felt was increased tenfold, causing him to be extremely nervous.
"Do you need to go home as well?"
"I… No, I need to use the toilet…"
Cui Zexi also made his excuse to leave before gesturing to his subordinates to follow him out—all while Albion was watching them.
"You need your subordinates to accompany you when you go to the toilet? Do you need them to help you wipe your ass or something?" Albion asked with exaggerated surprise.
Cui Zexi nearly tripped on the spot.
Young Master Albion simply had no tact. It could not be more obvious that Cui Zexi was making an excuse to leave, but Young Master Albion still called him out.
"Ahem, ahem!" Cui Zexi coughed awkwardly before ultimately admitting the truth, "Actually, I am also going home…"
"You should have just said that instead," Albion shrugged nonchalantly.
Cui Zexi could not only force a smile in response before finally taking his much-desired leave and getting away from Albion.
Shortly after, Albion's gaze fell back on the poker table.
With the addition of Lukas Waldschmidt's wealth and the winning pot, Albion became $50-million richer. However, none of that money came from the casino.
'I need to find a different game to play…' Albion mused.
