I AM A MAGE BUT WITH MILF SYSTEM

Chapter 577 - 577: The Situation of the World

“Absolutely,” Regina said with a wicked smile. “After all, we earned our place through our own trials. Let them have theirs.”

Both women laughed and turned to go back inside, leaving the courtyard empty and quiet once more.

Inside Lisa’s castle, three people slept peacefully, blissfully unaware of the audience they had for their afternoon and evening of passion.

And in three separate rooms, three young women lay awake, staring at their ceilings, unable to stop thinking about what they’d heard—and more disturbingly, unable to stop wondering what it might feel like to be in their mothers’ positions.

The family dynamics were definitely getting more complicated.

But then again, they always had been.

Lisa woke first as dawn’s soft light filtered through the windows. Her body ached in the most satisfying way—muscles pleasantly sore, skin marked with love bites and the evidence of a thoroughly passionate night. She lay still for a moment, savoring the warmth of Julian’s body beside her.

She stretched carefully, trying not to wake the others, but the movement made Julian stir. His arm tightened around her waist, pulling her closer.

“Good morning,” he murmured, his voice rough with sleep.

“Good morning,” Lisa replied, turning in his embrace to face him. “We should get up. We’ve already scandalized everyone by missing dinner. We shouldn’t miss breakfast too.”

Julian’s eyes opened, that familiar blue gaze focusing on her. “I suppose you’re right. Though I’m tempted to keep you both here for another round.”

“Insatiable man,” Lisa said, though she was smiling. She reached across him to shake Isabel’s shoulder. “Isabel. Time to wake up.”

Isabel groaned, burying her face in Julian’s chest. “Five more minutes.”

“You said that three hundred years ago,” Julian teased, making Isabel crack one eye open to glare at him.

“That’s not funny,” she muttered, but she was already pushing herself up. She winced slightly at the soreness. “Gods, I feel like I went ten rounds with a beast.”

“You essentially did,” Lisa pointed out dryly, already moving to gather her dress—or what remained of it. Some pieces had been quite thoroughly destroyed in their enthusiasm.

With some effort, they managed to make themselves presentable. Lisa used her magical energy to repair and clean her gown, while Isabel did the same.

Julian simply materialized a fresh dress with a thought, the benefit of being the realm’s creator.

“Show off,” Isabel muttered, still working on getting her lace fastened properly.

“Just efficient,” Julian replied with a grin.

When they were finally decent, they made their way toward the central dining hall. Lisa and Isabel walked on either side of Julian, both women carrying themselves with as much dignity as they could muster despite knowing exactly what everyone would be thinking.

They entered the dining hall to find everyone already present and seated. The long table was filled with breakfast foods, and all eyes turned toward them as they entered.

Lyanna immediately lowered her head, suddenly finding her plate intensely fascinating. Her face flushed a deep crimson. Cassandra did the same, while Seraphine had a more controlled expression, but even she couldn’t quite hide the flush creeping up her neck.

Regina and Eleanor exchanged knowing glances, both women fighting smiles. The other women around the table wore various expressions ranging from amusement to straight-up teasing grins.

“Good morning,” Julian said cheerfully, as if nothing at all was unusual about their late appearance. He took his seat at the head of the table, Lisa and Isabel settling on either side of him.

“Good morning,” the table echoed back.

“Sleep well?” Regina asked innocently, though her eyes sparkled with mischief.

“Very well, Mother,” Julian replied without missing a beat.

“I’m sure you did,” Eleanor added, her tone equally innocent. “We didn’t hear from you at all after you… retired yesterday afternoon.”

Lisa maintained her composure admirably. “We were quite tired from the reunion. We needed proper rest.”

“Oh, is that what we’re calling it?” Gregoria murmured into her tea, making several people at the table choke on their own drinks trying not to laugh.

Lyanna made a sound like a strangled whimper and sank lower in her chair.

Julian, mercifully, decided to change the subject before his daughters died of embarrassment.

“So,” he said, his tone becoming more serious as servants began placing food before them, “I’ve been back for a day now, but I haven’t had a proper briefing on the current state of the Throne of Gods. Seraphine, Lyanna, Cassandra—why don’t you tell me how things have been running?”

All three young women looked up, clearly grateful for the change in topic despite still being flushed with embarrassment.

Seraphine recovered first, her natural confidence reasserting itself. “The realm is functioning well, Father. We have it under control. The populations in the various regions are stable and prosperous. The cultivation resources are abundant. The creatures respect the boundaries we’ve established, and conflicts are minimal.”

She paused, taking a sip of water to compose herself. “The main settlements have grown considerably. We now have three major cities in addition to the numerous smaller villages. Trade routes are well-established, and we’ve even developed a functioning currency system based on cultivation materials.”

Julian nodded approvingly. “Impressive. You’ve built far more than I ever anticipated.”

“We had centuries to work with,” Cassandra added, finally able to look at him without immediately thinking about what she’d overheard.

“And Mother—” she gestured to Lisa, “—was very helpful in establishing the structures. She designed most of our governmental systems.”

“I merely provided guidance,” Lisa said modestly. “Your daughters did the actual work of implementation.”

“They’re remarkable,” Isabel agreed, pride evident in her voice.

Seraphine continued, “We’ve also established educational academies in each major region to provide proper training. Kiara has been especially helpful with its development.”

Kiara, seated further down the table, nodded in acknowledgment.

“However,” Seraphine’s expression turned more serious, “there is one ongoing situation that we haven’t been able to fully resolve.”

Julian’s attention sharpened. “What kind of situation?”

“There’s a portal of some sort,” Seraphine explained, “in the far corner of the world, near the boundary of what we’ve explored. Occasionally—maybe once every few years—creatures break through it.”
