Chapter 476: Chapter 419: Meeting Irenia Again

At the same moment this mysterious visitor—friend or foe unknown—appeared.

A piercing alarm suddenly blared across the bridge!

Upon seeing the mysterious visitor and the pool of energy on the floor, the four Holy Fire Guards looked horrified. They immediately surrounded Reinhardt, drawing their Power Swords and looking as if they were facing a formidable enemy.

Koller whipped his head around, his eyes filling with shock and apprehension as he looked at the mysterious visitor on the bridge.

‘How is this possible?!’

‘How could a Wizard bypass my Spiritual Perception and just appear so brazenly before me!’

Everyone had experienced this before—a Wizard of unknown allegiance suddenly appearing on the bridge. Lu Jia’s pupils constricted. Her eyes flickered to the Knight’s Broadsword leaning against the railing, and she cautiously shuffled over to grip its hilt.

Of the five mortals who had just survived the previous battle, all but the veteran, Kurs, broke out in a cold sweat upon seeing this.

‘Emperor above…’

‘Not again.’

Seeing this, Serni immediately stepped forward to stand in front of his two mortal ‘superiors’. “Havier,” he said in a low voice.

Compared to Serni, Havier hesitated, the fear in his eyes impossible to conceal.

Reinhardt’s brow furrowed. ‘Based on the nature of this Witchcraft Energy,’ he thought, ‘this Wizard is very likely the one who stole the Wizard’s Divine Artifact.’

The system’s summary had hinted that he knew this person.

Reinhardt had given it serious thought. ‘Could it be Irenia? No, that woman’s aura was completely different from this Wizard’s. It can’t be her.’

Perhaps the only person on the vast bridge of the Avenger Cruiser who remained unfazed by the mysterious visitor’s appearance was Agate.

The visitor’s disguise could fool everyone else, but it could not deceive Agate, the possessor of the Ancient Black Box.

Matthias saw that the visitor was not speaking or making a move to attack. He frowned, exchanged a glance with Reinhardt, and after receiving a nod of authorization, called out, “Wizard, state your identity and purpose. Otherwise, leave immediately.

This is the last Supreme Command Department of the Vengeful Angels. All unauthorized intrusions will be regarded as a declaration of war.”

Under the gazes of everyone on the bridge, the cosmic, star-like spectacle around the mysterious visitor gradually faded, revealing a figure completely shrouded in a black robe, their face hidden within a hood.

At that moment.

Upon sensing the visitor’s energy fluctuations, Matthias was visibly stunned.

Reinhardt pushed Matthias aside, raising a hand to signal the others to relax. He then walked to the railing, looked down at the Wizard below, and asked coldly, “What are you doing here?”

As he finished speaking.

The mysterious visitor pulled back her hood, revealing a delicate, beautiful face. She looked up into Reinhardt’s eyes. “It’s been a long time, Reinhardt.”

Seeing this, Koller frowned and sent a secure message using Spiritual Energy. “Sir, you know her?”

Reinhardt did not respond.

He simply raised his right hand, and Matthias immediately understood. He lowered his Power Sword, then stood at the railing and addressed the others, “Cancel the alert. Resume your duties.”

Clearly.

The mysterious visitor really was Irenia, the one Reinhardt had considered.

Daring to snatch a Divine Artifact from right under the nose of Grand Lord Kles—that was perfectly in line with Reinhardt’s impression of this woman. Her appearance in Cyrenaica was, therefore, completely logical.

The incident in Kemola was still fresh in Reinhardt’s mind.

‘When it came to something as good as treasure hunting, how could she possibly miss out?’

Irenia glanced around and finally asked, “Can we speak alone?”

Hearing her request, Koller frowned and the other three Holy Fire Guards’ expressions darkened. One of them, Metaron, had been a member of Sedon’s Honor Guard long ago, only transferred due to a personnel shortage.

As a member of the Honor Guard, he could never permit his Battle Group Commander to be alone with a Wizard of unknown origin—it was too dangerous!

Even if the woman was an old acquaintance of the Master of Vengeful.

He was a member of the Ash Guard, an Elite Formation personally established by Lord Sedon for the sole purpose of suppressing Wizard rebellions in the Land of Stars.

He knew all too well the unscrupulous things these cunning, self-serving heretics would do.

For power, they would even willingly sell their souls to Demons.

Before Koller could speak, Metaron strode to Reinhardt’s side, glared at Irenia, and snarled, “Your schemes will not succeed, heretic.

Whatever you wish to say to the Master of Vengeful, you will say it here, under our watch.

If you don’t agree, then leave.”

As one of Reinhardt’s old subordinates, Matthias remained silent on the matter and did not stop Metaron.

Koller also stepped up to Reinhardt’s side, his gaze fixed on Irenia. His voice was laced with menace. “You want to say the Wizard’s Divine Artifact is in your possession, is that it?

Hmph.

If not for the Master of Vengeful’s command, I would kill you right now, heretic.”

Irenia was completely unfazed by Koller’s threat. “You aren’t strong enough,” she said coldly.

As the conflict between them escalated the situation.

Reinhardt’s expression remained indifferent. “Speak. What do you want from me this time? Is it like the last? Are you here to beg me to help you escape Enok’s pursuit?”

In contrast to her cold hostility toward the others, Irenia’s tone softened considerably in the face of Reinhardt’s questioning. “I missed you. Is that reason enough?”

Though it was a simple reply, everyone except Matthias fell into an uncanny silence.

Anyone who wasn’t a complete fool could detect the emotion laced in the Wizard’s words.

Koller and Metaron exchanged a look. Though they had known each other for less than three hours, they could both see the shock in the other’s eyes.

Lu Jia was even more stunned than the two of them, her eyes widening in sheer disbelief.

‘Reinhardt, the Master of Vengeful from the Vengeful Angels of Verne… could he actually have feelings for a heretic?’

‘How is that possible?!’

‘It must be one of that Wizard’s evil tricks!’

Matthias, on the other hand, was inwardly smiling with relief. After all, she had used the very same reason to get close to Reinhardt last time.

Reinhardt’s frown deepened. He couldn’t fathom Irenia’s true objective. ‘Since she was able to appear before me so silently, it must mean she’s already escaped the pursuit of Silencer Enok.’

‘Besides, the Wizard’s Divine Artifact is most likely in her possession.’

After a moment of careful consideration, Reinhardt decided to agree to Irenia’s request. He would speak with her alone and see what his ‘old friend’ was planning this time.
