I Accidentally Built a Harem at the Beast Academy
Chapter 128: It’s Time For Funny Business
Blair laughed, shaking her head at his pathetic, floppy-eared expression. "I’m your teacher," she reminded him with a bright smile. "I can’t help you with your homework."
Daemus instantly dropped the pout. "I’m not asking my teacher," he countered smoothly. He winked at her. "I’m asking my smart-ass girlfriend."
He shifted his weight, a mischievous glint taking over his features. "And since class is officially over..." he trailed off.
Before Blair could even process his words, he lunged. He tackled her backward, pushing her down into the soft mattress and smoothly pinning both of her wrists flat against the pillows above her head.
"It’s time for funny business," Daemus announced, a cheeky smile spreading across his face.
Blair’s cheeks burned a fiery red. She opened her mouth to speak, but Daemus swooped down and captured her lips.
He parted her lips effortlessly, his tongue sweeping inside to explore her mouth with a dizzying, passionate rhythm. Blair melted into the mattress, her eyes fluttering shut as a rush of heat pooled in her stomach.
Daemus released her wrists. His warm hand slid under the hem of her top, gliding up her ribcage until he cupped her breast right over her bra. He squeezed gently, his thumb brushing across the curve.
He broke the kiss just for a fraction of a second, hovering millimeters from her lips. "Can I take this off?" he whispered.
Blair’s heart hammered frantically against her ribs. Breathless, she could only manage a small, shy nod.
Daemus smirked. He dove right back in, capturing her mouth in another deep, demanding kiss. Blair instinctively arched her back off the bed, pressing into his touch. Daemus skillfully used his one hand beneath her shirt, a quick pinch of his fingers easily unhooking the clasp of her bra.
He pushed the fabric aside, his bare hand finding her bare breast. His touch was warm and firm. He groped and caressed the soft flesh, his fingers finding her sensitive nipple to give it a teasing, rolling pinch.
A quiet moan slipped past Blair’s lips, muffled entirely by his kiss.
When Daemus finally pulled away, he moved slowly. A thin, glistening string of saliva connected their parted lips for a brief second before it snapped. His hand remained exactly where it was, holding her bare breast.
He looked down, his silver eyes locking deeply onto hers. "You are so beautiful," he murmured.
Blair blushed fiercely, unable to form a coherent response. Her chest was heaving beneath his palm, she was breathless from the intense make-out session.
Daemus lowered his head again, pressing soft, lingering kisses into the curve of her neck. "Would it be selfish of me," he whispered against her skin, "to ask you to stay looking like this?"
Blair stared blankly up at the ceiling, her mind racing. Daemus continued to trail hot kisses downward along her collarbone, silently urging her to say something.
"I am human," Blair finally told him, her voice quiet. "I’m not supposed to look like this."
Daemus lifted his head, meeting her gaze with absolute certainty. "I’ll protect you."
Blair shook her head against the pillows. "I don’t want you to have to protect me. You have your own life too, Daemus. I want you to live it."
Daemus shifted his weight, bringing both of his hands up to gently cup her flushed face. "You are my life now," he told her, his voice leaving no room for argument. "If you didn’t stand in front of me during that fight with Rain, I wouldn’t have a life to be living."
Blair bit her bottom lip. "You don’t owe me anything. You always came running to save me, so I just wanted to save you for once."
She stared into his silver eyes. Gathering every ounce of courage she possessed, she finally asked the question that was weighing heavily on her mind. "Is that why you like me? Because I saved you?"
Daemus froze, his mouth opening and closing a few times as he searched for the right words.
"It’s one of the reasons," Daemus finally admitted.
Before Blair could say anything, a sharp knock rapped against the door.
"It’s the professor," Blair muttered, her eyes widening in sudden panic. "I have a class with the professor now."
Daemus pushed himself off her and stood up from the bed. A sudden awkward tension settled thick in the air between them, shattering the intimate mood.
Blair scrambled to sit up. She quickly fixed her clothes, pulling her shirt down before reaching underneath to yank her unclasped bra out. She hurriedly tucked the undergarment out of sight beneath a pillow.
Daemus rubbed the back of his neck, looking at her. "We’ll talk tomorrow."
"Okay," Blair said quietly. She turned her back to him, stepping over to her study desk and frantically straightening her pens and notebooks to make herself look busy.
Daemus walked across the room and pulled the door open.
The professor was standing there.
"Jack," Daemus said.
"Daemus," Jack said in response.
Daemus slipped past his godfather. Jack stepped into the room, pushing the door shut behind him.
Blair stood awkwardly by her desk. Her face was still burning red from her frantic make-out session, her lips swollen. She nervously smoothed down the front of her shirt. "Good evening, Professor."
Jack didn’t return the greeting. His piercing crimson eyes immediately dropped to her chest.
"You are inappropriately dressed for class, Ms. Willows," Jack stated bluntly, his voice an icy, detached drawl. "I can see your nipples through your top."
If it were possible, actual steam would have erupted from Blair’s ears. Mortification washed over her. She instantly crossed her arms tightly over her chest, shrinking in on herself.
"I can change," Blair stammered out, her pulse racing. "It will only take a minute."
"Why would you want to waste more of my time?" Jack countered. "Sit down."
Blair didn’t dare argue. She obediently sat down in her desk chair.
Jack stood beside her desk the entire time, cracking the textbook open and immediately diving into a lesson on Beast World history. He lectured about the early territorial expansions of the feline factions and the subsequent border treaties, his tone even and professional.
Blair stared at her open notebook, her pen hovering over the blank page, but she could hardly focus on a single word he was saying.
How can he act so normal? her mind reeled. She snuck a glance at his stoic profile.
Every time Jack shifted his weight or stepped just a fraction closer to her chair, her heart skipped a beat.
She stared at him as he spoke. She lost herself in the way his lips moved around the syllables. She watched his dark lashes lower as he read a passage from the textbook. Whenever he leaned over her shoulder to point at a specific map on the page, the intoxicating, masculine scent of rain and dark coffee washed over her, making her breath hitch.
Her pink eyes drifted down to his large hands. She watched his long fingers gracefully turn the pages. Her mind instantly supplied the memory of those exact same hands gripping her hips, slapping her bare skin, and trailing intimately between her thighs.
"Notice the migration patterns here," Jack instructed, leaning over the desk.
He placed his hand flat on the paper beside her notebook. His index finger slowly dragged across the page, making a continuous circle around a specific paragraph.
Blair stared at the slow, rhythmic, circling motion of his finger. A sudden, pooling ache flared to life in her lower belly. She quietly clenched her thighs together beneath the desk, desperately trying to chase the feeling away.
Suddenly, Jack stopped talking. His circling finger paused on the page.
His voice dropped an octave, rumbling right next to her ear. "You seem distracted, Ms. Willows."
Blair snapped her head up, her heart leaping into her throat. Because he was still leaning over the desk, their faces were mere inches apart.
She looked at his mouth. Subconsciously, she ran her tongue slowly across her bottom lip. She was so flustered she missed the way Jack’s eyes immediately flicked down, tracking the wet slide of her tongue.
She finally met his gaze.
"I... I wanted to thank you," Blair stuttered out, her voice barely a whisper in the quiet room. "For helping Daemus and me... with the soda thing."
Jack hummed. "That’s all?"
Blair gave a small, jerky nod.
"Then pay attention," Jack commanded softly.
"Yes, Professor," Blair replied quietly.
Jack stood up straight, adjusting the cuffs of his suit, and seamlessly picked up the lesson right where he had left off.
Blair took a deep, shaky breath. She forcefully shoved the steamy memories to the back of her mind and began paying attention for real—well, mostly. She managed to answer his questions regarding the treaties, jotted down neat rows of notes, and even asked a few questions of her own to clarify the timeline of the pack wars.
All seemed perfectly normal. It was just a no-nonsense professor tutoring his diligent student.
That was, until Blair dropped her pen. She reached down to grab it, her gaze briefly sweeping past Jack’s trousers. She froze.
Pushing noticeably against his pants was a very obvious erection.
