Chapter 1187 - 90: Slaying the Demigod! Betrayal Everywhere! (Part 2)

  • Next Chapter

Transforming into a wild combat-loving spider demon, a claw fighter manipulated by Spider Queen Rose.

Undigestible divine power is pure poison!

"Is it Shivtam?"

"If He can truly kill this demigod, then the defensive line at Spider Nest Mountain's pit will be breached."

"We can directly advance towards the Queen's palace."

The Undying Lord Ocus's expression showed a trace of eagerness, the new master of the Silver Palace was as cunning as Glazest. In the original plot line, Ocus painstakingly did the groundwork, while Glazest muddled things behind, with barely any effort. Similarly, Duncan didn't put in much effort early on, and only started sending out elite forces after consuming most of the resources.

This is not surprising.

Who the hell can compete with the Undying Lord for troops?

Even the demons can't.

Duncan converts powerful demons, requiring the Abyssal Blood Pool to collect souls and power, nurturing them bit by bit, creating them one by one.

Meanwhile, Ocus merely waves his scepter and a vast undead cannon fodder emerges.

Just by utilizing the Summoning Tower and Bone Grounds in His territory, casually sweeping through yields hundreds of thousands of skeleton zombies that can be endlessly recycled after death, making His cannon fodder unparalleled in the Bottomless Abyss.

The most incompetent in the pantheon of death was Kelemvor, a normal Death God wouldn't fear demons using swarming tactics.

The 66th layer of the Bottomless Abyss, Deep Pit Demon Network.

The battlefield situation had undergone changes, after the Undying Lord Ocus's Undead Army consumed several months against the Divine Country's Prayer soldiers, those surviving on this battlefield could be considered as elite. A vast number of drow prayers converged on the overlapping and heavily layered defensive lines outside Spider Nest Mountain, countless wax-melting creatures spread a web extending over the pit.

Transformational spider spirits were everywhere.

The divine power of the Spider Queen locked down space, each meter of advancement cost them dearly.

But now things were different.

"Let the world burn!"

A majestic Balrog Flame Demon appeared on the battlefield, with continuous waves of legion guardians reaching the Deep Pit Demon Network through the Abyssal Gate behind it.

Many powerful demons created by Duncan appeared, countless hell hounds ran along the spider web, their demonic spikes seemed to burn mana, tearing wax-melting creatures to pieces amidst their terrified screams.

—Meteor Burst (Level 9)!

Though not raining hellfire from the sky, under the incantation of a group of high-tier enchanting mages, hundreds of massive fireballs descended from above, shaking the earth, leveling the battlefield's outer perimeter around the Deep Pit Demon Network, leaving the Enchanting Demon Lord Marita in disbelief. She never imagined she'd one day assault Spider Queen Rose's Divine Country.

The enchanting demons have truly excelled.

"Coordinates 101.241, Deep Pit in the Web."

The psychic whispers of Demon Lord Veen resonated, commanding the Blood War Legion with vast mental powers. Upon detecting a large number of spider-transformed elven prayers, it immediately sent detailed coordinates.

The next second.

A fiery storm rose up into the sky, following the first round of spell-clearing by high-tier enchanting mages. Balrog Flame Demon released a fiery storm, flames engulfing this web without a trace.

A sea of flames expanded in every direction.

Veen's deep voice echoed: "This battle, the master wants others to witness the strength of the Silver Palace."

"There can be no failure!"

Roar!

A high-pitched dragon's roar sounded.

Appearing on the battlefield was a mighty ancient Purgatory White Dragon, its massive form casting a shadow as if descending from the heavens, the strong winds it generated blew away spider-transformed elven prayers. As the ancient Purgatory White Dragon took a deep breath, its breath blanketed the battlefield that had been scorched by flames, covering hundreds of meters surrounding.

The local defenses of the Deep Pit Demon Network collapsed instantly.

No one could withstand such an onslaught. After the ancient White Dragon's breath, Balrog Flame Demon Guards began advancing, flanked by towering Purgatory Frost Giants. Ice Frost Mages summoned all-encompassing snowstorms, part of the Frost Giants hurled boulders, and just a few hundred Frost Giants easily routed thousands of drow prayers.

"Dammit!"

"Has He betrayed the Spider Queen?"

Ikrifda's face turned to iron, unable to accept the reality that two who were intimately linked recently now truly betrayed each other.

Though she long anticipated the Spider Queen would eventually betray that Demon Lord, she couldn't comprehend such a vicious strike from the other side, leaving Ikrifda unable to immediately assess the situation.

"Was this to deceive Ocus?"

"Or has Lord Julian truly fallen out with the Spider Queen?"

Ikrifda could only order a retreat.

Attracting an old comrade, Ikrifda knew the power of the Silver Palace, and didn't believe the demon would go to extremes to kill her now.

Indeed.

Ikrifda retreated, and those formidable Balrog Flame Demons did not pursue.

"He still has some sentiment for the past."

"All my devoted service wasn't in vain."

Ikrifda's face showed a mix of fear and nostalgia, suddenly sensing something, murmuring: "Are those demons targeting the Great Pit?"

"Shivtam?!"

In a blink.

Ikrifda seemed to recall something as memories resurfaced.

Unable to remember exactly when, perhaps kneeling on the throne of the Silver Palace, that powerful Demon Lord pinched her throat, calmly mocking: "Have you ever thought of using other methods to ascend to divine-like power?"
