Chapter 297: A chase up thorn bush
Chapter 297: A chase up thorn bush
Marco and I looked up at the window and the rope that was now attached to it.
“How do we get up now?” He asked me.
I walked up to the rope and then looked back at him. “I’ll climb up and then pull you up.”
I pulled on it testing the strength and it seemed secure. I pulled on it lifting my body up and then used the wall to get to the top. The hooking was the worst part and its over now.
I used all my strength to climb to the top and when I reached the window opened it and slowly crawled out on the ground outside.
I was out! I thought to myself. I quickly looked around me. The area was lit up my one of the yard lights of the properly. However, it was slight dim due the bushes the blocked the side of the wall I was on.
“Come, I’ll pull you up,” I whispered to Marco. He went to the rope and grabbed it. He prepared to climb up but I was taken aback when I suddenly heard a noise from nearby.
“Wait,” I then nervously said to Marco. He immediately stopped and looked up at me. I looked back at the estate yard and listened carefully. I heard footsteps approaching. I moved away from the window and hid in the bush nearby.
Several seconds later someone walked by. One of the estate guards. Luckily he didn’t look in the direction of the basement windows.
I then returned to the window and told Marco it was safe to climb up. I pulled him up and within seconds he climbed out the window. ”
We’re out,” I told him as I smiled at him.
He smiled back at me. “Can’t believe we actually did it.”
“Let’s go,” I whispered. I removed the rope from the hook and then pulled it up. I then closed the window. I didn’t want them to know how we got out.
We then turned away and looked through the bushes to see if the coast was clear. The was only one man in the distance waling past the area.
“We sprint straight to the next bushes over there and then stope to look around. The wall will be easier to see from there” I told Marco.
He nodded his head in understanding. Once the guard had crossed ,we immediately ran all the way to the bushes. My heart was pounding my chest as we ran. I hoped we would be able to escape without getting caught.
Once we reached the bushes we looked around again as we panted loudly. The wall was now in clear view. After a temporary pause we sprinted off again. We were almost there I thought to myself as we ran through the estate yard passing bushes and trees.
“Hey! Who’s that!” I heard a loud voice say from near by as we ran past a bush. My eyes widened as I looked back to find a figure standing by the bush. I was surprised that there was someone standing behind the bush.
“Come back here!” The voice said. I felt a light shine on Marco and I.
“Oh shoot! Someone’s seen us!” Marco said as we sprinted.
“Just keep running,” I told him but I soon heard the footsteps start to follow after us. This wasn’t good my plan for us to escape without being caught had failed.
“I need backup the kids have escaped,” I heard the man say behind us.
“Hurry! Hurry! Hurry!” I yelled in a panic to Marco as we reached the wall. We climbed up the bushes of the wall. They were full of thorns and pierced my fleshed with each desperate hold onto the bush as I climbed up. But I ignored it.
As soon as I reached the top I jumped down and on to the other side. My body made a loud thud as I hit the ground. I winced loudly as I looked down at me hands and legs. It was too dark to see but they were filled Moments later
“Help, we need to get help now!” I told Marco.

KEITH’S POV
It was about a half an hour later when I arrived at the Carrington boys’ apartment building. It had only been 3 hours since she left my estate she had to be here.
I entered the building with my men and walked up to the reception.
“Good afternoon, sir,” I greeted her.
“I’m looking for a resident called Louis Carrington who lives here, I need to see him,” I told her.
“If he’s here, I can call for him,” she said.
She then proceeded to check something on her desktop before she picked up a telephone on her desk. She dialled up a number which guessed was the number to the apartment. The phone rang multiple times but no one answered.
“It appears he’s not home, sir. Perhaps you can come back later or try to contact him,” she informed me.
“No I have to see him right now I tried to explain to her.
“I apologise sir, its not protocol for us to let non-residents in,” the receptionist told me.
My lips pressed into a thin line as I looked at her.
“Call me your manager. I’d like to speak with him. I didn’t have any time to waste so I wanted to deal with this quickly. The receptionist clearly didn’t know who I was but that didn’t matter because I would soon handle the situation.
Before long the manager of the complex came to see me. I told him who I was and what I was looking for. Unsurprisingly, he quickly obliged. He told me he couldn’t let into the Carrington’s apartment and but agreed to let me see camera footage of the building. I agreed.
If Jasmine was hiding in his apartment her plan wasn’t going to work. I would find her and bring her back now.
The manager led to the camera room on one of the upper floors.
