Third Person POV

Hogwarts.

...

...

"What you have is a plant called the Aurea Flower, and this year I want all of you to cultivate it. After all, we'll be using it as your companion throughout your entire sixth year."

"What do you mean, Professor?" a Hufflepuff girl immediately asked.

The professor let out a small chuckle. "Well, it's simple, Miss Martini. This plant is being given to you today so you can take it to your dormitories, and you'll have to take care of it. You'll be responsible for cultivating it, making any necessary adjustments, monitoring its health, and the final result will be your most important grade this year," Professor Sprout said, while everyone looked at the pot containing a plant full of green leaves that had appeared on each table just a second earlier, leaving everyone confused.

Clearly, it had been the house-elves who had done it at the professor's request, surprising the students.

Severus could tell that all the elves were turning their attention toward him through the bond they now shared. He thought perhaps one of them would speak to him and ask for his orders, but none of them said anything, since their orders were to obey the professors and the headmaster as if nothing had happened.

"Wait a minute, Professor Sprout. How are we supposed to take care of this plant? As you know, a plant needs constant care. Does that mean we'll have to keep it with us all the time?" asked a Slytherin student.

The professor nodded with a smile. "Of course. As I said, I'm sure a plant like this won't be a problem in your dormitories." She spoke enthusiastically, and the students beamed with excitement, while Slytherin had mixed reactions.

Some simply grimaced at the idea, clearly not liking the thought of wasting time taking care of a plant. Others seemed excited.

Severus looked at the plant in its simple pot, raising his gaze as he analyzed it completely with all his senses before placing it back in front of him and touching its petals to feel its properties.

Amelia, beside him, watched him as he did so, and Severus kept his eyes fixed on the plant.

He immediately identified the plant's entire genetic makeup and its mature structure. He realized that it could produce an enormous flower in the end. That was probably the final grade, since it took about a year to bloom. It would take around nine months to reach that stage if it were well cared for. Otherwise, it could take an average of fourteen months, which was perfect for the professor to evaluate the students, since the sixth year would end in ten months, determining their success or failure with a margin of two months.

Severus placed it back on his desk, opened his palm above it, and began emitting energy. He started strengthening the plant, ignoring the professor and the students' questions. He was far more curious about its final form, as he couldn't help but appreciate plant life, for which he felt just as much affection as he did for his animals.

The plant began to grow in a breathtaking manner. Amelia, beside him, let out a gasp of astonishment.

"You'll have to take care of the water and the soil, Miss Greengrass, but that should be easy enough for you."

The professor had only just answered the student when her eyes widened. As she turned back toward the classroom to continue her explanation, she froze immediately upon seeing that Severus was no longer paying attention to her, but instead was making the plant grow using only his hands, which were surrounded by a glow, while Amelia backed away in surprise.

If she had already been quite shaken by the mandrake incident, she certainly was even more so now that she realized it was the second time Severus had done something she could hardly believe was possible.

It was possible to make plants grow like that, although most of them would lose much of their quality. That was why growth spells were heavily restricted when it came to Potion ingredients, and there were even some plants that simply couldn't be affected by them, as they were automatically protected by magic.

That was precisely why the Aurea Flower she had chosen would serve as the students' gardening test until the end of the year, without them being able to use any method to cheat. The Aurea Flower was immune to that sort of thing.

She simply couldn't believe what was happening. As her eyes remained fixed on Severus, completely interrupting her speech, it drew the students' attention.

Once again, everyone turned their attention toward Severus. The plant had already grown to the height of his chest, far larger than an Aurea Flower should ever be, before the tip of the plant began forming a white layer resembling a cocoon, which slowly opened, revealing a magnificent enormous crimson flower.

Within that flower was a special pollen liquid, one of the most expensive substances in the world of Potions. Although it was an easy plant to find because it was quite common, it was rarely cultivated, as it produced an extremely small amount of that liquid. At least a thousand plants had to be grown to obtain just ten milligrams of the ingredient.

They were usually cultivated on enormous magical farms, where thousands of plants were maintained to extract the liquid and sell it on the market. It was an extremely profitable business, but it required constant supervision and a specialized herbologist.

And the scent, which the professor recognized immediately, left her speechless. That was the liquid gold of Aurea Pollen Serum.

As the students let out exclamations of surprise, gazing in admiration at what they had just witnessed, Severus seemed captivated by the flower's own beauty while simultaneously breathing in its fragrance.

The professor observed the plant as she approached, unable to contain her curiosity. She had never seen a flower that large, much less one with such an intense aroma, which demonstrated just how rich it was in essence.

She stared at the plant, touching its petals and noticing that it was extraordinarily healthy, the most beautiful one she had ever seen in her entire life.

"That scent is quite strong. I thought that powerful fragrance was coming from the plant itself... but it's the pollen... Interesting." Even she heard Severus mutter, and when he removed the flower, the scent began to fade.

Her eyes turned toward him, completely bewildered. She was a professor with decades of experience, who had spent her life teaching and cultivating magical plants and gardens all over the world. Even so, she was witnessing something she simply couldn't explain.

A sixth-year boy had done something she considered nothing short of a miracle.

As if it weren't enough to have seen the dreadful mandrake begin behaving like a baby in his hands. Now this. She had already been planning to approach him after class to understand what he had done to that mandrake, but now she couldn't wait any longer.

What was supposed to be a year's worth of work, he had accomplished in just a few seconds. After all, there had been no loss of quality in that plant—quite the opposite!

Severus looked at her, blinking at the professor's astonishment while wearing a faint smile. "Well, I wanted to test something and see it in its final form. But don't worry, Professor. I still want to take care of it for a year." He replied calmly before turning his attention back to the plant, ignoring the curious and astonished gazes once again directed at him.

Not that it bothered him. It had bothered him a great deal once, back when he was just a little boy, with everyone's eyes fixed on him every time he performed even the smallest miracle.

Now, he no longer cared. Even so, through the memories of the Hogwarts students, he wondered if it would be like this for the rest of the year, since everyone stared at him like that in class after class.

The professor continued looking at him with skepticism and uncertainty. His answer hadn't convinced her very much, after all, it hadn't really explained anything. Severus merely sighed before pointing to his own eyes.

"Professor, I went through some changes this summer. For example, this has something to do with my eyes. They changed color." He explained, while she simply nodded silently, waiting for him to continue.

"They used to be black, but something changed in me this summer. My eyes are green now because of a druidic ability, I believe, since it's an ability connected to nature. That's why I can handle plants so easily... and animals as well." Severus volunteered that information, knowing the Hogwarts students well enough to realize they would certainly be full of questions about his changes and might even start causing problems.

That was, without a doubt, the most drastic change in his appearance. And a brief explanation would help him at that moment.

He reached out toward the plant once more, and right in front of the professor, he made it begin to close before it started shrinking, returning as though its life were being rewound.

Severus was simply returning it to its previous state, since he could command the plant's life.

The professor watched in silence as the plant returned to its original state on the desk.

Then she raised her gaze to look at him, now paying closer attention to his eyes.

"Are you sure about what you're saying?" she asked, with obvious admiration, as though she had discovered a genuine miracle. "Because that explains a great deal. This plant cannot receive practically any kind of magic, not even special fertilizers. It also forms a bond with its grower. If it senses that the person cultivating it doesn't truly care for it, it simply won't grow. That's why it's extremely difficult to cultivate. Its nature doesn't allow that kind of development. But when it's connected to a wizard who genuinely cares for it, it can bloom exactly the way you made it."

"That certainly shatters every standard I've seen throughout all my years. I've never seen anything like it, Mr. Snape. And I'll award you twenty points for this demonstration." She explained, still taking a few more seconds to observe Severus before finally turning her attention back to the class. After all, she still had a lesson to teach.

"Well, as you've all just seen..." she began, turning back toward the front of the classroom, while several eyes still hadn't left Severus's desk.

"Mr. Snape has shown the plant in its fully matured form. Those who manage to make it bloom the way Severus did will receive an Outstanding on their final grades. That is your goal this year. Although what happened today goes beyond every standard the wizarding world knows regarding plant growth."

She paused briefly before continuing. "Because of that, I believe that if Mr. Severus truly possesses this gift, perhaps he should consider a career in Herbology. I'm certain you would change the world wherever you chose to work." She concluded, looking at Severus once again.

"So his eyes are green now because he has some kind of special power?" Severus easily overheard the Hufflepuff students whispering among themselves.

"First there was that in Potions class, then Professor McGonagall announced he was an Animagus during Transfiguration, and now this..."

They continued gossiping while watching the scene, filled with suspicion and even a certain degree of caution.

Through them, Severus could tell that he was drawing attention far too quickly. Everyone was becoming very focused on him.

But that would be a fairly common reaction once he started demonstrating exceptional abilities. And in truth, what he was doing was still only the basics, within the limits of the wizarding world.

At his peak, he could create entire forests, fill deserts with trees, plants, and flowers, and even do so without needing seeds.

In that wizarding world, he had far greater potential with the element of nature, and he was eager to discover just how far he could go, since it was still one of his greatest affinities. 2

What could he truly accomplish? Perhaps he could create a tree as massive as the Great Sacred Tree of Arctic, which never stopped growing until it reached a thousand feet in height.

The largest tree in the world. Revered as sacred, some called it the World Tree, the Cradle of the Ancient Gods, among many other names.

The tree had the power to sustain the entire city, as its roots spread throughout the region, strengthening the farms and nourishing the soil. It protected the city from the surrounding temperatures, transforming what should have been a freezing place into something more tropical, even while surrounded by mountains of ice. It could draw water directly from underground rivers, causing them to emerge as springs that burst to the surface and flowed throughout the entire city, serving as drinking water for the people and as part of the sewage drainage system.

It was a city that, by the time John died, already housed more than ten million inhabitants, making it the most populous city in the world.

Could Severus create trees like that in this world with his magic? Of course, a tree of that size appearing there would frighten both wizards and Muggles alike. It couldn't be seen by anyone, but the possibility of creating one filled him with excitement.

That also made him think of something else. Should he build a new place for himself in this world? 1

But where would he do that? There was the Muggle world and the wizarding world. Certainly, neither of them would readily accept a place like that, especially when it could be discovered by Muggles.

It made him want to create a new land in that world. He was far too excited, but at the same time, it would be impossible to explain the construction of such a place.

Even so, it would be interesting.

Wizards were always complaining that all that secrecy was slowly ruining the wizarding world. Severus couldn't help but share the thoughts of his former self, of living in a world where he wouldn't have to hide his magic.

That idea appealed to him as well. Not that he wanted to harm Muggles or start a war with them just to achieve it, but the dream of having a place like that was simply too tempting.

A kingdom where people could walk freely while using magic... Severus began to dream about it.

This time, he was completely ignoring the lesson. He just couldn't imagine how he could accomplish something like that without attracting attention.

That was the biggest problem.

The professor continued answering questions, while the students gradually began turning their attention back to her.

She explained how they should take care of their plants, but every so often she couldn't help glancing back at Severus, wondering what he might be doing, since he had already surprised her twice during that very class.

All she saw was a boy lost in thought, paying no attention to her. Not that it worried her very much now. Amelia Bones, sitting beside him, couldn't stop looking at him, her eyes filled with questions, while Severus remained absorbed in his own world.

She only hoped that he would continue taking care of the plant regardless. After all, he had already proven that he was capable of making it grow far beyond what anyone had ever imagined possible.

First, she had no idea of the true extent of Severus's abilities. If she had known, she would have gone mad.

Second, she had no idea what Severus was thinking about, something that, in the future, would have an enormous impact on the wizarding world. Every wizarding society on the planet would be left stunned if they knew what would eventually be built.

At the same time, who could have imagined that such a kingdom would one day exist—a realm devoted entirely to magic, where dragons soared through the skies, people strolled through cities accompanied by magical creatures, wielded their wands freely, where those new white Dementor-like beings served as the kingdom's guards and army, where witches and wizards flew openly on broomsticks above houses and streets, and where no one considered any of it unusual, with magic being used everywhere? 1

At the center of that kingdom would stand an enormous tree, a sight that could only be found in that place. 1

And when people discovered that all of it had begun from a single innocent thought during a sixth-year Herbology class, everyone in the world would be utterly bewildered.

Author's Note:

There will be a kingdom in the future. Severus will create something like Arctic, but for the wizarding world, and this kingdom will be a massive island in the sky. 1
