How To Ruin A Love Comedy
Chapter 512
“Did you have fun today?”
Hiyori asked, looking sullen.
I answered, enjoying the cool breeze as we strolled along the wet sidewalk.
“Yeah.”
“You didn't look like you were having fun at all.”
Why the grumpy tone?
She must be sulking because I acted like I was going to do it earlier, but never actually followed through.
It was ridiculous. She was the one constantly begging me not to, yet here she was.
Still, it proved her own desires were flaring up, so a part of me was glad.
I watched her stray cowlick flutter in the breeze, thinking it looked incredibly cute as I spoke.“Why the attitude again?”
“What attitude?”
“Nothing.”
“Mom told me to study with you, sunbae-nim.”
“She did?”
“Yeah. You aren't even good at studying, sunbae-nim. I must have given her the wrong idea.”
“You told her you brought a smart sunbae-nim over. That's not exactly a misunderstanding.”
“Don't talk back to me, okay?”
“Aren't you the one being unreasonable here?”
“I suppose. Are you leaving now?”
“I should.”
“Are you really just leaving after eating?”
“What then, you want to do it right there?”
“Huh?”
Hiyori's eyes widened as she chewed over my words.
Looking back at me, she frantically shook her head and waved her hands to clear up the misunderstanding.
“T-That's not what I meant...! I was just asking what your actual goal for coming here was...!? Don't take it the wrong way...!”
“What goal? I just came to pay my respects.”
“I mean, why?”
“To set a date.”
“W-What date...?”
“It's a secret. Kids like you don't need to know.”
“Ah, whatever...! And that... Haa... Unbelievable...”
Her reaction told me she knew exactly what I was hoping for.
Her grumbling was incredibly cute.
My eyes kept being drawn to her cowlick, which tilted sharply to one side whenever she got mad. The wind was probably moving it, but right now it looked like it was twitching in time with her shifting emotions.
“What?”
“Not 'what'... ! Stop treating me like a fish you've already caught...!”
“I never did. But if I made you feel that way, I'm sorry.”
“Don't pretend to be nice...!”
“Don't do this, don't do that... What am I actually allowed to do?”
“Be quiet...!”
“What was with that cute act just now?”
“It wasn't a cute act, it was a scolding...!!”
“Why are you scolding me?”
“Because you're shameless...!”
“Yeah, I like you too.”
“No...! Stop...!! Stop being so slick...!”
Hiyori always grew weak whenever I acted like this.
She usually pretended to be a dating master who knew everything about men, but in truth, she was more innocent and soft-hearted than anyone.
“Also, you should be thanking me.”
“For what...!”
“It's past your curfew right now. You only got to come out thanks to me, so you should be grateful.”
“I don't want to.”
“Should I make you grateful?”
Hiyori puffed out her cheeks at my words.
She wasn't angry; she was just flustered because she realized exactly what I meant.
I squeezed her blowfish-like cheeks with both hands to let the air out, then continued.
“I'm joking.”
“A-Are you sure it's a joke...?”
“What do you think?”
“Stop being so scary...!”
Hiyori's mood swings seemed especially wild today.
Was it because a man she was intimately involved with—not a female friend—had stepped foot into her safe haven, a place shared with her family?
I didn't think it would be that shocking, but from Hiyori's perspective, I supposed it could be.
Tap.
Tapping Hiyori's cowlick, which was swaying even more violently—perhaps because of the wind—I said nothing more and just strolled around the neighborhood with her.
After circling the block, right before returning to Hiyori's house, I opened the back door of my car parked in front of the Main Gate.
Then, I looked at her.
“Get in.”
“W-What are you trying to do...?”
“This and that.”
“I don't want to...?”
“Should I force you in?”
“...”
She was glaring at me, but a hint of anticipation and excitement lingered on her face.
She was right on the verge of opening her eyes to the taste of a different kind of desire.
I needed to satisfy her now so that next time would be easier and more fun when we slept together.
“W-We have to keep it short... And if anything gets on my clothes...”
I nodded at Hiyori's words, which were essentially an invitation. As she reluctantly climbed into the car, I glanced around.
It was completely silent. Let's go with 'quiet' as today's concept.
“Thank you for having me.”
“It wasn't an intrusion at all. Will you come over for a meal again?”
“Would that be alright?”
“Of course. Next time, study with Hiyori and take your time before you leave.”
Her arms were crossed beneath her breasts, and her head was tilted, resting against a hand propped on her cheek.
Suppressing the surging lust brought on by looking at Rion striking a quintessential MILF pose, I bowed respectfully to her and to Ryushin beside her.
“Thank you. I'll be on my way now.”
At that, Hiyori stepped outside, saying she would see me off.
The moment she did, she stumbled heavily.
She must have been suppressing her trembling legs for a while, only for the strength to instantly leave her body once her tension faded.
Catching her by the waist to support her, I smiled faintly and asked.
“Why push yourself to come out?”
“I don't know.”
“Why are you mad this time?”
“I'm not mad.”
“Your voice says otherwise.”
“It's just my voice.”
“Is that so?”
“Yes.”
“Got it. I'm leaving, alright?”
“Just go.”
“You should say goodbye politely.”
“Leave.”
“You're missing a word at the beginning.”
“Home.”
“Why don't you try putting it all together?”
“Get home safely.”
“You sound like a middle-aged man.”
“Ah...! I only said it because you asked me to, sunbae-nim! Why do you keep picking on me...!”
If I teased her any more, she might get so worked up that she'd start bawling.
Smiling at Hiyori, who was simply taking all my teasing today instead of snapping back, I reached out and violently ruffled her hair.
While she fumed and asked what I was doing, I started the car and peeled out of the neighborhood like I was fleeing.
By the time I returned home and finished showering, I had received a message from Hiyori.
[You have to take responsibility.]
What kind of responsibility did she mean?
Was she saying there was no turning back now that I had come to her house and met her parents and sibling?
Or did she mean I had to take her in for the rest of her life if she got pregnant, since I had planted so many of my seeds deep inside her today?
It didn't matter either way. I was confident I could handle both.
Sprawling out on the futon with those thoughts, I tapped away at my Cell Phone keyboard to send a reply.
[Alright.]
I didn't bother asking what I was taking responsibility for.
Whatever responsibility Hiyori meant, I was already prepared for it.
[Good night.]
Even though it was just text, I could almost picture Hiyori acting shy.
She must have liked my answer.
[Night.]
When I opened my eyes in the morning, the sky was already gloomy.
I greeted the day watching the rain pour down rather heavily, though not quite a torrential downpour, and sat up to stretch. Just then—
Slide.
The paper sliding door opened silently, revealing a familiar silhouette.
“What... you're already awake?”
Miyuki offered her morning greeting in a somewhat disappointed tone.
It seemed she was bummed out that she couldn't steal a kiss from my lips, which was what she'd planned to do if I were still asleep.
“Just woke up. But what's with that tone?”
“What do you mean?”
“You were trying to smear your spit on my lips again, weren't you?”
“No...?”
“No my ass. It's written all over your face. What's in your hands?”
“Oh... This? Side dishes.”
“What side dishes?”
“It seems like you haven't been eating many vegetables lately, Matsuda-kun, so I made some side dishes for you.”
Miyuki set the bundle she was carrying down on the small table holding my Cell Phone.
She untied the cloth and placed the three-tiered lunch box straight into the refrigerator.
“What's in it?”
“Mung bean sprouts, lotus root, salad... There are a lot of things. Do you want to eat breakfast since you're awake?”
“You want me to make do with vegetables for breakfast?”
“You can eat meat, but you need to eat vegetables too.”
“Forget about that and sit down.”
“Don't change the subject; listen to me. I'm not backing down when it comes to your health.”
“I get it, just sit.”
“I'll go wash my hands then.”
With that, Miyuki headed to the bathroom and washed her hands and feet before coming back out.
Tossing the towel she used into the laundry basket, she approached sluggishly and squatted right next to the futon, letting her hands grope around.
She was trying to find a spot warmed by my body heat.
Her lips curled up into a smirk, bearing the curious expression of someone blindly searching a mystery box.
She wiggled her toes and claimed the center of the futon.
I let out an involuntary chuckle at her thoroughly spoiled behavior and spoke.
“You like that?”
“Yeah. What did you do yesterday?”
“I went to Asahina's place and had dinner with her parents.”
“Huh...?”
Never expecting to hear that answer, Miyuki's eyes widened.
I moved closer to Miyuki, who was sitting comfortably cross-legged, and pushed her backward while pretending to massage the back of her neck as she blinked her large eyes.
“A-Ah... Hold on a second...!”
There was nothing better for shutting Miyuki up and changing the subject than this.
I decided I would ruthlessly defile her right now until her mind went completely blank.
But just as I went to pull down my pants with that resolve, Ding-dong!
I froze at the sound of a cheerful doorbell ringing throughout the living room.
“What the?”
Who could be visiting this early in the morning?
I didn't get newspaper or milk deliveries... and I wasn't expecting anyone, which made it all the stranger.
“Are you expecting someone...?”
A blushing Miyuki asked from beneath me.
I helped her back up and shook my head, but just as I was about to answer, the Cell Phone on the table vibrated.
Bzzzz—!
I checked the Cell Phone screen to see what it was, only to find an incoming call from Hiyori.
Wait, was she the one who just rang the doorbell?
If so, I thought things were turning out rather perfectly.
“Hello.”
