"Boss? I mean... Your Honor?" Wei Chen blurted out, which confused Mo Jue, who was sitting not far away.

Hearing Wei Chen, the man with the Zhuge Liang style mustache massaged his temple.

"While we’re here, call me Master. Don’t embarrass me," he said with a tired sigh.

*Was that a role he’d like to play here? Okay... Bony Man.*

"My apologies, Master." Wei Chen bowed and apologized.

Seeing Wei Chen apologize to the man beside him, Mo Jue nodded in approval. He then decided to help his son-in-law a little.

"Hahahaha! Since the groom and the bride have arrived, let’s continue the ceremony!"

He then turned toward the ceremony master.

"Ceremony Master! Continue with the three bows!"

The ceremony master nodded to Mo Jue then raised his hand, and the musicians slowly quieted down.

The lively atmosphere in the ancestral hall gradually settled into solemnity.

The ceremony master looked at Wei Chen and Mo Xingyao, then spoke in a loud and clear voice.

"The groom and the bride, the first bow to Heaven and Earth! First bow, to thank Heaven for finally bringing this day. Second bow, to thank Earth. Third bow, to thank Heaven and Earth as matchmakers, joining both of you as a pair of phoenixes in flight!"

Wei Chen and Mo Xingyao glanced at each other before standing side by side. They then turned toward the altar of Heaven within the ancestral hall.

The ceremony master raised his voice.

"Bow!"

The two bent forward together, lowering their heads toward the altar. They bowed three times toward Heaven and Earth according to the ceremony master’s instructions.

"The second bow! To the parents! First bow, to thank your parents for their nurturing kindness. Second bow, to thank them for raising you to adulthood. Third bow, to promise eternal respect and care!"

The couple straightened themselves, awaiting the ceremony master’s cue.

"Bow!"

The second bow was directed toward their parents.

For Mo Xingyao, it was Mo Jue.

As for Wei Chen, it was the Bony Lord, who was now wearing his meat suit and smiling casually at him.

The couple performed the three bows amidst the approving gazes of both Mo Jue and the Lord of Death.

When the three bows were finished, the two straightened their backs again. They glanced at each other and smiled.

The next would be the last bow. Once it was completed, their marriage would be finished, and they would be ritually and legally bound to each other.

The ceremony master raised his voice again.

"The third bow! Husband and wife bow to each other! First bow, to respect and love each other. Second bow, to grow old together in harmony. Third bow, to be united in heart forever!"

The couple awaited the signal as they smiled at each other, their hearts racing with anticipation.

"Bow!"

As the command rang out, the couple was about to bow to each other when...

"Stop the ritual!"

A thunderous voice resounded from the heavens.

Everyone in the venue immediately looked toward the source of the voice.

There, three figures appeared, floating down from the heavens like immortals descending into the mortal world.

The leading figure was a man who appeared to be in his forties, with a scholar’s mustache. Behind him were two younger men who appeared to be in their twenties.

The three radiated powerful cultivation. From their cultivation alone, they appeared to be at the peak of the Void Refining Realm, but the pressure they emitted was far more powerful than that of an ordinary Void Refining cultivator.

Then there was their arrogant, holier-than-thou demeanor and their expressions, as if they were the center of the universe.

All these clues could only mean one thing.

They were from the Immortal Realm.

Both Wei Chen and Mo Xingyao paused.

Mo Jue also froze, unsure of what to do. This was no small matter. Cultivators from the Immortal Realm had actually descended to stop their marriage ceremony.

Amidst the shock and confusion of everyone in the venue, the Lord of Death did not even glance at the newcomers.

He simply continued enjoying his tea.

Then he paused and turned toward the ceremony master.

"Continue the ceremony."

With that instruction, the ceremony master looked toward Mo Jue, silently asking for his opinion, since Mo Jue was the one paying him.

Mo Jue understood the question and nodded in agreement.

"The third bow! Husband and wife bow to each other! First bow, to respect and love each other. Second bow, to grow old together in harmony. Third bow, to be united in heart forever!"

The ceremony master repeated the words, and both Wei Chen and Mo Xingyao continued with the ritual.

Then suddenly...

**Boom!**

A spear was thrown from above and pierced the ground between Wei Chen and Mo Xingyao, effectively stopping them from completing the bow.

"Ants! You are trying my patience! If you continue this ceremony, we will kill every one of you!"

The leading figure released his cultivation, using his overwhelming pressure to suppress everyone in the venue.

Everyone at the ceremony, including Mo Jue and the ceremony master, was affected by the pressure.

But Wei Chen quickly reacted.

A powerful shield spread outward from his body, protecting Mo Xingyao and Mo Jue and preventing them from feeling the pressure.

The leading figure pointed at Mo Xingyao.

"You!"

"Follow me to the Immortal Realm and replace your mother in marriage!"

"My mother?" Mo Xingyao blurted out in confusion. "You know my mother?"

"Yes, your mother! She was a Sword Saintess of our Immortal Cloud Sword Sect! But when she escaped from her enemies and fled to the lower realm, she lost her virginity. Later, we learned that she even had a daughter!"

"The sin of your mother must be paid by you! Follow us to the Immortal Realm, and we will reluctantly make you our Saintess!"

The leading figure spoke with absolute self-righteousness. From his voice and expression, it was clear that he had no intention of accepting any objection.

"But...." Mo Xingyao looked at Wei Chen, and it was clear from her eyes that she was deeply reluctant. Then she looked toward Wei Chen’s master, who was still calmly sipping his tea.

**SLUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRPPPPPPP!**

The sound of an obnoxiously loud tea slurp reverberated throughout the venue. The people who had been completely intimidated by the arrival of the Immortal Realm cultivators momentarily forgot their unease and turned to look in one direction.

It was where Wei Chen’s master was sitting.

*Slurp, slurp... SLUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRPPPPPPP!*

The annoying sound of tea slurping continued as if the seriousness of the current situation had not even registered in the mind of this master.

Ximen Hao and Yun Feng, who were watching from afar in the honored guests’ seats, whispered to each other.

"As expected of the master of that guy. No wonder that guy is so annoying," Ximen Hao said.

"So it’s not just me who wants to slap that guy’s face!" Yun Feng blurted out.

As the slurping sound continued, the Immortal Realm cultivators finally snapped.

The leading figure sent a palm strike toward the Lord of Death, as if trying to swat a fly. However, the palm strike suddenly transformed into a gust of wind and knocked the teacup out of the Lord of Death’s hand.

"Ooops," the Lord of Death exclaimed in mock surprise.

*So fake... I bet he just wanted an excuse to beat those guys,* Wei Chen thought.

The Lord of Death’s expression suddenly turned grim the moment the tea splashed onto his robe.

"This is my best robe...."

He then slowly turned his gaze toward the three Immortal Realm cultivators.

"Kneel."

**BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!**

With only a single command, the three Immortal Realm cultivators were slammed into the ground as if a massive invisible hand had pushed them down from the sky.

The impact was so powerful that it created a crater beneath them, injuring their knees and damaging their internal organs.

"Urgh!"

The leading figure, who had been at the front and received the full brunt of the Lord of Death’s spiritual qi pressure, was more severely injured than the two young men behind him. Blood spilled from his mouth.

Then...

"Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgghhhhhhhhhhhhhh!"

Green flames suddenly ignited, burning his body along with the blood that had spilled from his mouth and vaporizing it instantly.

The searing pain from the green flames continued as every drop of blood that escaped his body immediately vaporized the moment it left him.

Then the flames extinguished.

All of the blood had vanished. No, it had been completely vaporized.

Yet the leading cultivator’s body remained completely intact. He was not even burned. His clothes were still perfectly fine.

The flame had only burned his blood.

"Who allowed you to spill blood during my disciple’s marriage ceremony, huh?" the Lord of Death asked casually.

He had burned all the blood because spilling blood or killing someone during a marriage ceremony was considered a bad omen.

Therefore, he had no choice but to burn it away with his Eternal Flame.
