Amidst the pile of rubble, Da Tian Hu burst out without a single scratch. Aside from being covered in dust, he was completely unharmed.

"HAHAHAHAHA! Don’t be so rough! Did you miss me~?" Da Tian Hu asked, his voice tinged with an unhealthy amount of enthusiasm.

At that moment, Wei Chen suddenly remembered something.

Youqi had once mentioned that the Lord of Death occasionally borrowed the plunger from the broadcasting orb’s storage space.

With that thought in mind, Wei Chen immediately contacted the Lord of Death.

Brrrrrp... Brrrrrp... Brrrr...

The call was picked up, and what appeared on the screen was the familiar bony face of the Lord of Death, with a toilet water tank visible in the background.

Then a thunderous sound came from the screen, accompanied by something that sounded like a torpedo being dropped from an airplane into the sea.

"I know you couldn’t possibly know when I’d have some rather private business to take care of, but I’d appreciate it if you could keep this call brief. So, what do you need?" the Lord of Death asked politely.

Of course, his words were polite, but his tone carried a certain kind of pressure.

The same kind of pressure you felt when your manager or boss called you into the office, grilled you for hours, and then sent you back out with a special assignment that had to be finished before the end of the workday, despite the fact that you had already wasted your precious working hours sitting in that office.

"Err... Your Honor, are you using the plunger right now?" Wei Chen asked while dividing his attention between the call and the fight. At the same time, he had to keep that muscular, beastly, furry hard gay at bay.

Yet despite being punched and kicked away countless times, Da Tian Hu kept getting back up with nothing more than a little dirt covering his muscular frame.

The sounds of the battle reached the Lord of Death.

"Are you fighting someone? That’s strange. Why can’t you finish the fight? Is this guy strong?" the Lord of Death asked.

"No... he’s not strong, but he seems to be invincible. None of my attacks work! At most, my full-power Underworld Bone Claw can only leave a red mark on his skin, and it heals within a few minutes," Wei Chen explained while continuing to punch, kick, and claw at the muscular beast.

"Hmm? That isn’t normal defense. The only things capable of defending against the Underworld Bone Claw are conceptual defensive techniques, or perhaps some kind of law protecting the target. Can you describe the one you’re fighting?" the Lord of Death asked while rubbing his bony chin thoughtfully.

"Err... he... he’s a transformed beast. A tiger! I think he has some kind of powerful bloodline. He calls himself... er... Heaven... ah, yes! Heaven Devouring Tiger!" Wei Chen replied before sending another Sparta kick flying toward Da Tian Hu in disgust, only for the latter to receive the kick as though he were enjoying the beating.

"Huh? Heaven Devouring Tiger? Why is that bloodline in the Lower Realm?" the Lord of Death blurted out.

"I... I don’t know, Your Honor! But this thing just won’t stay down!" Wei Chen replied in a panic as he retreated to create some distance from that horrifying creature.

"Of course it won’t stay down. That species can only be injured by weapons or attacks that have at least reached the Pseudo Immortal level. It’s not about the power output. That’s simply the minimum requirement needed to damage it," the Lord of Death explained.

Hearing that, Wei Chen’s face twisted into a complicated expression.

Where was he supposed to find such a weapon?

His account balance was still deep in the red, and the current mission had yet to be resolved, so the large payout hadn’t arrived.

He didn’t have enough UGC to purchase a Pseudo Immortal-level weapon from the redemption shop.

"Ah... can you wait? It’ll probably take an hour or two. I’ve been having a hard time getting it out of the system lately. Maybe it’s because of the stress... or maybe I’ve been sitting for too long. I’ll hang up for now. I need to concentrate."

With that, the Lord of Death immediately ended the call, leaving his most valuable employee hanging.

Seeing this, Wei Chen wanted to cry but had no tears to shed.

His boss was great and all, but sometimes he was just too laid-back.

Wasn’t he worried about his employee’s butthole safety at all?

Speaking of which...

Where was he supposed to find someone at the Pseudo Immortal level?

Wait...

Pseudo Immortal?

Wei Chen’s mind drifted back to the auction house before they had rushed over.

There had been a guy with an overbearing name but the personality of a stereotypical xianxia young master.

Yes...

That’s right!

That guy!

Long Ao Tian!

With that in mind, Wei Chen immediately unleashed a full-power swipe with his Underworld Bone Claw, sending Da Tian Hu crashing through the mountain once again.

"Yu’er! Tag! Help me stall this guy for a few minutes!" Wei Chen shouted toward the observation tower behind the defensive wall.

"Yes, Lord Husband!"

Dream Butterfly immediately accepted and rushed over from behind the defensive line.

Without wasting a single word, she launched her attack from afar with all her might. She did not even bother summoning her Demonic Avatar. She wasn’t interested in merely stalling for her husband.

She wanted to kill this damnable beast that had beaten her husband just moments ago.

Even though she knew it had all been part of her husband’s plan, she was still furious after watching the beast lay its hands on him.

The anger that had been building inside her was on the verge of erupting. If not for her husband’s orders, she would have already charged in and joined the beating long ago.

And now...

With her husband’s permission, there was nothing left to hold her back.

She wanted only one thing.

To make this perverted tiger suffer exactly as her husband had suffered.

No.

Far more than that.

A hundredfold.

A thousandfold.

Dream Butterfly took out her zither from her storage ring as she floated gracefully into the sky.

This time...

Her melody carried no lyrics.

It was a song she had composed long ago when she had been consumed by anger and humiliation after dealing with a group of rude and mannerless guests.

It was the song she had written when she had felt the strongest urge to cut down everything before her and seize her own freedom.

The first note echoed across the battlefield.

A sword materialized beside her and immediately shot toward the perverted tiger.

BOOM!

The Heaven Devouring Tiger’s hide was incredibly tough, and it was protected by the laws of Heaven. No matter how powerful the attack was, the damage was reduced to almost nothing.

Even so, Da Tian Hu was sent flying once again. His body carved a deep trench across the earth before finally coming to a stop.

"Your hide is quite tough, huh? That’s good. I don’t want you to die until you’ve suffered enough," Dream Butterfly said coldly before her fingers danced across the strings once more.

The melody continued.

With each note she played, countless swords of varying sizes materialized around her before shooting toward Da Tian Hu with unerring precision.

Da Tian Hu had become nothing more than a stationary target, forced to endure the relentless rain of swords crashing into every part of his body.

The smaller swords felt little more than an itch, but the larger ones repeatedly slammed him deeper into the earth. Some even managed to leave crimson marks across his body before they rapidly healed.

Attacks capable of leaving even those fleeting marks were already powerful enough to slightly distort the laws of Heaven and Earth.

The melody continued to rise.

The tempo grew faster.

The battlefield became her stage.

One sword.

Then ten.

Then a hundred.

And then thousands...

Then...

It became hundreds of thousands.

With every note that flowed from the zither, another sword materialized out of thin air before streaking toward Da Tian Hu.

SHING! SHING! SHING! SHING! SHING!

The torrent of swords descended like an endless storm. They merged into a massive river of swords, intertwining like countless serpents. At the end of that river, there was only one target.

Da Tian Hu.

Every blade struck true, as though each one possessed a pair of eyes.

Da Tian Hu immediately leaped into the air, attempting to evade the incoming barrage.

But...

The river of swords followed.

They curved through the sky as though they possessed minds of their own, relentlessly homing in on his position.

"What!?"

Da Tian Hu twisted his body to avoid one sword, only for another to slash toward his shoulder.

He shattered one blade with his fist, yet ten more instantly filled the gap, not to mention the hundreds more still streaming toward him.

He rolled through the air, but dozens of swords adjusted their trajectories and continued pursuing him.

There was no escape.

No matter where he moved...

The swords always found him.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

One explosion after another erupted across the sky as countless swords slammed into his body.

Although his Heaven Devouring Tiger bloodline and the protection of the laws of Heaven greatly reduced the damage, the relentless impacts continuously battered him.

His body was repeatedly blasted from one side of the battlefield to the other like a pinball.

He could not even stabilize himself before another sword arrived.
