"Wait.... something’s wrong!" one of the patriarchs blurted out. The moment they tried to interfere with the spiritual qi flow, a strange phenomenon occurred.

An overwhelming suction force invaded them through the contact point on their hands. The suction force pulled all of their spiritual qi and seized control of it. They tried to pull their hands away, but due to the overwhelming suction force, all of the meridians in their bodies could only resist being drained and were unable to exert any strength to move.

As a result, the two other patriarchs also started to have their spiritual qi drained, but their situation was much better than Nether Patriarch’s. They were still able to move their other hands, and the invasion of the suction force was halted just in front of their dantians as their powerful spiritual qi alone could hold it back.

Like a hungry beast, if one were to provide enough meat, the beast wouldn’t bother with them.

This was the same as the powerful suction force invading their meridians.

But....

Sooner or later, this ever-hungry beast would devour all of the meat they sent its way, and at that time, the beast would try to barge into their homes and devour all of the residents.

But the damage was still insufficient to kill Wei Chen. The two patriarchs could not use much of their spiritual qi as the suction force had drawn most of it away. What truly damaged Wei Chen was only a fraction of their power.

"These damn cockroaches!" One of the patriarchs raised his hand and channeled nearly all of his spiritual qi into a strike aimed at killing Wei Chen, but...

"What!?"

Like a beast responding to a bigger meal, the suction force suddenly increased and all of the channeled spiritual qi was quickly sucked in. The beast called the suction force started invading their dantians and voraciously devouring all of the spiritual qi it could get its hands on.

"Arrrrgrggggghhhh!"

The three patriarchs screamed in agony as all of their spiritual qi was mercilessly sucked away. The powerful force had now seized all of their meridians and dantians. The three were unable to extricate themselves now.

Wei Chen slowly raised his head. His injuries were still visible, but his smile told them everything. This had been nothing but a trap to drain all of their spiritual qi!

"You! You planned all of this!?" Nether Patriarch asked as he tried to pull his hand away.

"Heh heh heh..." Wei Chen didn’t say anything, but his smile and disdainful laugh said it all.

Booom!

The powerful suction force suddenly grew stronger as Wei Chen controlled his dantian. Now it was like a dam bursting forth, and the three could no longer hold onto their spiritual qi seas.

Within their dantians, their spiritual qi seas started dwindling at an alarming rate. From a sea, they became lakes. Then the lakes turned into ponds, and the ponds rapidly shrank into mere pools.

At this rate, their dantians would erode and consume themselves, causing their cultivation to collapse from its very foundation.

"At this rate, our cultivation will collapse! We need to unseal our cultivation!" Nether Patriarch offered a solution.

"But... if we unseal it, the law of heaven and earth will..."

"It’s better than turning into a cripple! Do it now!"

The three exchanged glances before quickly using a secret method to stir up their souls and undo the seals deeply etched within them.

As the seals lost their effect, the laws of heaven and earth began to sense the three who dared to deceive them. Clouds gathered and heavenly sparks formed as the heavenly tribulation for sinners approached.

And with the blast of powerful spiritual qi, 70% of it was sucked into Wei Chen’s dantian and ground into pure spiritual qi that he could use. As for the remaining 30%, the three successfully pushed Wei Chen back.

"Ughhhh cough!" Wei Chen coughed up blood. Even though his dantian was safe due to its nature, his body was not. The force behind the attack was not to be underestimated. Right now, he felt like he had just been hit by a speeding pickup truck.

Wei Chen retreated, but his smile was still there, clearly visible as if the injury was nothing to him.

"Hahahahaha! Finally!" With that laugh, he quickly retreated out of the range of the heavenly tribulation. Then a certain object appeared in his hand.

Rooooooaaarrrr!!!

A powerful dragon’s roar echoed throughout the area as a black silhouette the size of a mountain burst forth from the object in Wei Chen’s hand.

Its eyes burned with destructive intent, while the aura of death surrounding it was so dense that the air itself seemed to stagnate. Living qi twisted and transformed into death qi wherever its presence reached.

The object was none other than the Underworld Dragon’s Soul Core! One of the apex predators of the Underworld! A beast that roamed the Underworld Desolate Area nearly unhindered.

The phenomenon caused the three patriarchs to be stunned. Then they saw Wei Chen swallow the entire soul core in one gulp.

Crackle.... crackle.... Booom! Booom!

The heavenly tribulation became more and more furious the moment Wei Chen swallowed the soul core. It was as if he had violated a heavenly taboo.

In the eyes of heaven, none were more important than the three sinners who dared to deceive it.

The first heavenly tribulation lightning bolt struck down upon the three. Its power was devastating. The three resisted it by using shield talismans and their personal treasures to form a protective barrier.

The second strike was even stronger. The heavenly lightning was as thick as an entire battleship as it crashed down upon the three. The shield formed by their talismans immediately shattered, not leaving even the slightest resistance behind.

"Arrrggghhhh!"

One of the patriarchs was pushed forward and used as a human shield to receive the heavenly tribulation.

After the ordeal, smoke rose from the charred body that had been burned black like charcoal. Sparks from the heavenly tribulation were still rampaging throughout the body.

Now one of them was severely injured, while the other two suffered moderate injuries.

While the three patriarchs were being hounded by the heavenly tribulation, Wei Chen, on the other hand, began his breakthrough process.

Within his spiritual qi sea, two black holes orbited each other’s gravity wells, maintaining a dangerous but delicate balance. The power that was sucked into this spiritual qi sea was split in two. The first nourished the soul aspect of one black hole, while the other fed the second black hole, nurturing his cultivation base.

As the soul-aspect black hole absorbed the living spiritual qi, it began to swell. All of the spiritual qi that had been accumulated up to this moment began to show its effects.

The orbit of the two black holes became faster and faster. Then they started to crash into each other. The violent collision scattered matter throughout the spiritual qi sea, yet the two black holes continued to merge. Their rotation became faster and faster until the merging process turned into a single spinning mass.

Then a great change took shape within the spiritual qi sea.

The silhouette of a black dragon emerged. At first, it had the form of an Eastern dragon, but its shape soon began to change.

A Western dragon emerged. Its wingspan stretched across the entire spiritual qi sea, and its chest opened as the spinning black hole was pushed into its chest cavity.

Then, as the dragon roared and thundered throughout the spiritual qi sea, the spinning black hole gradually slowed and settled within the great black dragon’s chest cavity.

Like a dragon’s heart, the black hole slowly spun, as if telling anyone who witnessed it that this rotation was the beating heart of the great black dragon.

Outside, Wei Chen was enveloped within a blue sphere. This sphere was formed by the process of breaking through into the Soul Formation Realm.

Seeing this, Nether Patriarch was alarmed.
