How to Bring Common Sense to Xianxia World

Chapter 156: Et Tu Yu’er

Chapter 156: Et Tu Yu’er

— 3 Days later – Immortal Dream Garden —

Atop the Immortal Dream Tower, where Dream Butterfly resided, she was now receiving a rare guest, her would-be sister, Mo Xingyao.

“Sister Yaoyao, what you said is true?” Dream Butterfly asked in disbelief, looking at her good sister who sat across from her during their tea session.

“Yes, it’s true. At first, I did not believe that he was the young master of some hidden ancient clan. That guy is such a joker and does not even have the dominating aura of a young master. No, he does not even have the refinement of one. He looks exactly like what he claims to be, a vagabond.”

“Then later, I learned from my father that he controls a force so strong it could even infiltrate our Sky-Severing Demon Valley territory without raising any alarm. It even found and wiped out the assassin sect whose base we could not locate for more than a century.” Mo Xingyao began to rant while her sister listened.

Hearing the rant, Dream Butterfly could only smile wryly at the situation and offer occasional nods and understanding replies to calm her sister down.

Yes, on this rare occasion, Mo Xingyao had come to visit her. The reason, of course, stemmed from Wei Chen.

Mo Xingyao continued, “Now I do not even know where that guy is hiding. He suddenly vanished. It has already been three days. I tried calling him, but it would not connect. It is as if he is somewhere we cannot reach.”

Dream Butterfly looked at her future sister thoughtfully before smiling.

“So… because you miss him, and now you want to complain to someone. That is why you came to visit me?” Dream Butterfly asked.

“Hmph! Who misses him? I am just here to complain about him to you, definitely not because I miss him!” Mo Xingyao huffed.

“If you are not missing him, then…” Dream Butterfly’s beautiful lips slowly curved into a mischievous smile. “You came here to see whether he is with me, did you not?”

Like an arrow piercing her heart, Mo Xingyao’s posture stiffened slightly. She quickly composed herself and turned away, avoiding Dream Butterfly’s probing gaze.

“But I think you are lying when you say you do not miss him. If you did not miss him, you would not have come here to check on him in the first place. Complaining about him to me is just a bonus. Am I right?” Dream Butterfly pressed, causing Mo Xingyao to lose even more composure.

With the pressure of those words poking at her heart, Mo Xingyao glared at Dream Butterfly, then suddenly pounced on her.

“Ahhh! Hahahahaha!”

Mo Xingyao began tickling her as Dream Butterfly fell to the ground, unable to control her laughter.

“You! You! You are teasing me? Your big sister? I will teach you a lesson now!” Mo Xingyao barked in frustration as she continued tickling her.

“Ahhh! Hahaha! Stop… please… my clothes… ah!” Dream Butterfly rolled on the ground as the tickling continued. Her clothes loosened, revealing patches of pale skin. Her white upper arms were exposed, and her beautiful twin peaks pressed upward toward Mo Xingyao’s face as if defiantly challenging her.

Seeing them so close to her face only fueled Mo Xingyao’s frustration.

“You! You dare point those at me? Are you trying to mock me, little Butterfly?” Mo Xingyao burst out and forcefully squeezed the twin peaks that were so boldly in front of her.

“Ahhh! Stop, Sister! Hahaha!” Dream Butterfly begged between laughter as her sister continued her playful punishment. “If you do not stop, hahaha, I… I will fight back!”

With that, Dream Butterfly countered, and the two wrestled with each other. Mo Xingyao used only her physical strength and not her cultivation.

Even so, a cultivator’s physical strength was far greater than that of a mortal. As a result, Dream Butterfly’s resistance was pitiful. She could not do much except tug at Mo Xingyao’s robe, pulling it down slightly and revealing more of her modest twin hills.

At that moment, Wei Chen casually walked in from outside.

“Ah, you are here, Yaoyao. I asked your father and he…” Wei Chen paused.

Before him, the two girls were wrestling playfully. Dream Butterfly’s clothes were so disheveled that he could clearly see her twin peaks and even the rosy tips. Her legs were exposed to the point that he was almost able to see everything.

Mo Xingyao was on top. Her clothes were in much better condition than Dream Butterfly’s, who was at a disadvantage, but her modest twin hills were still flashing white in front of Wei Chen’s eyes.

“Oh…” Wei Chen’s brain stopped working for a moment. He did not know what he should do next.

Should he enjoy the view? Or be a gentleman and leave?

But the point was…

He was not a gentleman.

“Oh, hi!” he said, acting as if nothing had happened, and waved at the two of them.

A moment later, a full tea set was hurled at him, and Wei Chen quickly ran out of the room to avoid it.

After a few minutes, the ladies adjusted their clothes. Wei Chen returned with a red palm mark adorning his left cheek, while Mo Xingyao bit his shoulder to vent her frustration. Wei Chen let her do as she pleased, as he was already used to her eccentricities.

Besides, his cultivation was already stronger than hers. The biting did not even make him itch.

Dream Butterfly, ever the gentle lady, poured tea into the cups. It was a new set that she had brought out from among her many collections, since the old one had already been broken during the previous incident.

“What brings you here, Lord Wei?” Dream Butterfly asked gently as she placed the teapot down after pouring tea for everyone, including herself.

“Can I not come here because I miss you?” Wei Chen said with his signature smile.

Then…

“Arrghhh!”

The biting force suddenly increased. His shoulder even showed a trail of blood with teeth marks.

He glared at Yaoyao, who was smiling mischievously at him.

“For God’s sake, what the hell are your teeth made of?” Wei Chen complained as he touched his shoulder. Blood smeared across his fingers.

“Be serious. Do not throw your sweet words around like that.” She paused, then asked, “Answer me. Where were you during these past three days? Who was that little girl you brought with you when you searched for the assassin in the Western Desert?”

Mo Xingyao stood with her hands on her hips, raising her chest high, acting like a wife interrogating her husband who had come home late.

Wei Chen’s eyes drifted downward to her chest. The corner of his mouth curved into a half-smirk.

“What are you trying to show? Do you think… Ah, ah, ah!”

Before he could continue, a small hand twisted the soft flesh at his waist. The hand came from the other side, which he had not guarded against. He had lowered his defenses to that of a normal man.

He quickly looked in that direction.

“You… you too, Yu’er?” Wei Chen said, shock written across his face as if he were Julius Caesar.

“Do not bully Sister Yaoyao, Lord Wei. Please answer her question. I want to know as well,” Dream Butterfly said gently as she withdrew her hand.

“Yaoyao is a bad influence on you, you know that?” Wei Chen quipped.

“Hmph, bad guy. What bad influence? I am teaching her to be stronger so she will not be bullied by you,” Mo Xingyao retorted.

Wei Chen let out a tired sigh. “Fine, fine. You win. I will tell you.” He paused and rubbed his chin, thinking about what he should say. Should he tell them that he had been punished and told to repent inside his mini Death Star that the Lord of Death had given him?

And that little troublemaker Ningning… even if he told them she was the daughter of the Lord of Death, who would believe him? Even he himself had trouble believing it.

How could that bony dude have done the deed and produced such a cute and adorable daughter?

In any case, it was complicated. He did not want to lie either, because to maintain one lie, he would have to tell more lies, and he hated that cycle.

Seeing the hesitation and discomfort on Wei Chen’s face, Mo Xingyao began imagining what might have happened during these past three days. Was it because, as a young master, he had used authority beyond his station just to take revenge on the assassins who had caused trouble in her father’s sect territory?

“Were you staying home these past few days?” she asked.

Hearing this, Wei Chen thought that it was not exactly a lie. He had stayed at his home. However, calling that mini Death Star-like castle a home did not feel entirely accurate.

“Yeah, something like that,” he replied.

“What about that little girl? Was she your daughter?” Mo Xingyao asked. This was what she wanted to know the most.
