Holy Crap! My Cat is Actually a Female CEO?!
Chapter 67: The Female Colleagues Who Don’t Treat Gu Yizhou as an Outsider
Chapter 67: Chapter 67: The Female Colleagues Who Don’t Treat Gu Yizhou as an Outsider
Suddenly!
Gu Yizhou froze.
He had just spotted the older woman from the computer store, not far from the restaurant.
He quickly shielded the side of his face with his hand so she wouldn’t spot him.
’Otherwise, I’ll have a hard time getting away from her again!’
’I can’t help it!’
That woman was already starting to give him nightmares.
He watched as the older woman got into a Rolls-Royce Phantom.
Tsk tsk tsk...
’She really is a rich lady!’
Gu Yizhou couldn’t help but marvel.
After the older woman disappeared from view, he glanced at the time. It was already almost two in the afternoon, nearly time to head back to work. He got up, paid the bill, and left for the company.
...
Gu Yizhou arrived back at the company just in time for the afternoon shift.
He walked into the office right on the dot.
As he passed the front desk, the receptionist, Shen Meng, seemed to have just woken up from a nap, her eyes still heavy with sleep.
He had to admit, she looked quite cute that way.
Gu Yizhou gave her a smiling greeting and headed straight for his desk.
Everyone else in the office was also just waking up from their lunch naps, their eyes still looking a bit dazed.
He Mingyi, sitting at the desk next to Gu Yizhou’s, rubbed his eyes and asked in confusion, "Old Gu, where’d you run off to? I didn’t see you during lunch!"
"Oh, I went to get my computer fixed."
Gu Yizhou casually replied.
"Fixed your computer?"
He Mingyi froze for a second.
"Yeah, my cat chewed up my laptop screen last night."
Gu Yizhou said with a sigh of resignation.
"Uh..."
"Your cat’s that mischievous?"
"Might as well just toss it in the pot!"
He Mingyi said.
Gu Yizhou: "..."
Knowing he was just kidding, Gu Yizhou didn’t get angry.
He glanced at He Mingyi and gave a resigned smile.
He picked up the thermos on his desk for a drink, only to find it empty. Grabbing his cup, he got up and walked toward the break room.
In the break room, several other colleagues were also getting water, having just woken up from their afternoon naps.
Some were from his department, while others were from different ones.
Thanks to Gu Yizhou’s handsome looks, many people in the company knew him, especially the women.
What can you do?
Beauty is justice; that’s just how it is in a world that judges you by your looks.
"Yizhou, here to get some water?"
"Yizhou, I have coffee here, want to try some?"
"I have some grapes here, Yizhou. Take some back to your desk!"
...
Many people greeted Gu Yizhou, and quite a few offered him fruit and snacks.
However, Gu Yizhou politely refused each offer.
"Ah... No thanks, Sister Meimei. Plain water is fine for me."
"I’ll just have a few grapes here, Sister Dandan. Thanks."
...
Gu Yizhou had slowly grown accustomed to his colleagues’ enthusiasm.
When he first joined the company, he hadn’t been used to the passionate attention from his older female colleagues. He knew they didn’t have any ill intentions, though. Time is a wonderful thing; after nearly half a year, he had gradually adapted to this way of life.
After filling his cup, Gu Yizhou found himself unable to refuse their hospitality and ended up eating some fruit while listening to inter-departmental gossip. Finally, he used the excuse of being busy with work and made his escape.
’I had no choice!’
The women in the break room had started discussing their favorite positions in bed. If he didn’t run, he’d probably die of embarrassment!
’Women these days... they’re practically wolves!’
’They really don’t see me as a stranger, do they?’
Gu Yizhou carried his cup back toward his desk, shaking his head with a resigned sigh.
"Hm?"
"Holy shit???"
Just as he was passing the elevators, a door slid open, and he saw her—the older woman from the computer store!
’Holy crap...’
’What is that woman doing here at the company?’
Gu Yizhou couldn’t help but shudder.
But the elevator door had already closed, and the older woman hadn’t seen him.
Looking at the ascending elevator.
’Clearly, she wasn’t here looking for him. She was probably here to discuss business!’
Shaking his head, he put it out of his mind, walked straight back to his desk, and got to work.
He had no choice.
His workload for the day was pretty heavy. If he wanted to avoid overtime, he’d have to work faster.

Top floor of Tidal Group, the President’s Office.
The older woman Gu Yizhou had just seen was now sitting on a sofa, and across from her sat the president, Yan Luoxi.
Clearly, the two of them knew each other.
"Aunt Mei, what brings you here today?"
Yan Luoxi asked, looking at the older woman before her with a level tone.
Ye Mei paid no mind to Yan Luoxi’s cold tone. She knew that was simply Yan Luoxi’s nature; it wasn’t directed at her personally.
That’s right.
The older woman’s name was Ye Mei, and she was known as the "Black Widow."
She hadn’t earned the "Black Widow" moniker for being ruthless in business, but rather for the sheer number of husbands she’d had.
It was a truly bizarre story.
In her youth, Ye Mei had been quite the beauty. She began marrying at the age of twenty and continued to do so into her forties.
That’s right.
You read that correctly.
Ye Mei began marrying at twenty and continued to do so well into her forties.
The reason for this was that every husband she married died within three years of the wedding.
When her first husband passed away, people in their social circle thought nothing of it. He was, after all, a man in his sixties; it wasn’t unusual for him to die.
A few years later, Ye Mei married a wealthy man of thirty, in the prime of his life. But less than a year into the marriage, he too died—in a car accident.
It was shocking, but people in their circle didn’t dwell on it. A car crash was an accident, after all.
Then, another two years passed, and Ye Mei married again, this time to a man in his forties. This one lasted a bit longer, surviving for four years before dying of a sudden heart attack.
When this happened, everyone in their circle was stunned, and Ye Mei became utterly infamous.
After these three husbands, Ye Mei had inherited billions, leading many to suspect that the deaths of her three husbands might not have been so accidental.
After all, wealth can make people do crazy things.
And so, Ye Mei was branded the "Black Widow."
Although she was undeniably beautiful, and had the exotic allure of a "young widow," all the wealthy men in their circle began to give her a wide berth.
Ye Mei never bothered to explain herself, believing that the truth would eventually come out. From then on, she never married again and remained single. Though she was known to keep many young, handsome lovers, she never remarried.
Her connection to Yan Luoxi, as it happened, was that of a distant relative by marriage.
Ye Mei’s second husband was, in fact, one of Yan Luoxi’s distant uncles.
Even though everyone said she was cursed to kill her husbands, that she was a "Black Widow,"
Yan Luoxi held no ill will toward Ye Mei.
In fact, she even felt that this "aunt-in-law" of hers was a bit pitiful...
