"Huh?"

Gu Yizhou snapped back to reality and saw the little white cat leaning in front of the laptop, eyes wide as it stared at the colorful stock market candlestick chart on the screen. He joked, "Xiaobai, are you curious about stocks too?"

Hearing his voice, Yan Luoxi also snapped out of it.

She shot Gu Yizhou a glance, then, right under his watchful eye, chomped down on the corner of the laptop screen.

"CRUNCH~"

The computer screen flickered once, then was immediately filled with rainbow-colored stripes.

Gu Yizhou was speechless because this silly little cat, Xiaobai, had just bitten and broken his laptop screen. Yan Luoxi, on the other hand, was speechless because she hadn’t expected to *actually* break it; she had only meant to pretend to bite it to annoy Gu Yizhou.

Their eyes met.

"Xiaobai, you...!!!"

Reacting first, Yan Luoxi scrambled off Gu Yizhou’s lap and scurried under the sofa in a flash.

She had no choice!

’If I don’t run now,’ she thought, ’I’m really going to get my butt spanked!’

"Uh..."

He looked at the broken laptop screen in front of him, then glanced toward the little white cat hiding away, knowing it had done something wrong.

Gu Yizhou didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.

He wasn’t really angry, though.

’After all, the screen is already broken. Hitting that little rascal won’t do any good!’

’Oh well, I’ll just take it to the computer market tomorrow and get it fixed.’

Gu Yizhou shook his head helplessly.

He casually closed the laptop, tossed it onto the sofa, and got up to take a shower.

When Gu Yizhou came out after his shower, he saw that Xiaobai was still nowhere in the living room.

An older woman was also standing nearby.
