Hogwarts: This Dark Lord is Good?

Chapter 496: Wait... Somethng Is Very Wrong..

Crackle~!

Thunder rumbled faintly as dark storm clouds silently gathered above the enemy, rolling in without a sound.

Grindelwald and Dumbledore raised their wands toward the clouds at the same time, moving in perfect coordination.

Crackle! BOOM!

A deafening roar split the sky as bolts of lightning as thick as barrels came crashing down.

The weather spell jointly cast by Wade, Dumbledore, and Grindelwald was terrifyingly powerful.

In an instant, the enemy's previously dense formation was blasted apart.

By the time the spell ended, they could no longer organise any effective counterattack.

The Alliance members behind them immediately seized the opportunity and surged toward the opening.

Before long, the enemy wizards had been completely thrown into chaos.

A green curse suddenly shot toward them and split apart in midair.

In the blink of an eye, more than twenty enemies collapsed.

"Miravia, we can start leaving some alive now," Wade said.

"All right..." Miravia replied regretfully as she changed tactics.

The enemy formation had already broken, and their defeat was inevitable.

Now they could finally start thinking about taking prisoners.

Grindelwald, however, stared at Miravia in shock.

One Killing Curse had taken down more than twenty enemies?

Even Grindelwald himself could not do that.

With his skill, he could at most use a single Killing Curse to kill several people.

Where had Wade found such a powerful witch?

Miravia soon fell back as well.

With the group gathered together, they were practically unstoppable.

Of course, once it became clear that the enemy could no longer fight back, they all switched from lethal spells to non-lethal ones.

Wade advanced alongside his allies, with more than a dozen icicles floating behind him.

As he moved forward, the icicles automatically shot toward the enemy one after another.

Anyone struck by one was instantly frozen solid and rendered unable to move.

At the same time, Lucifer shrank back down to the size of a fist and slipped into the small oil lamp at Wade's waist.

Once the enemy's main force had been crushed, the battle entered the cleanup stage.

Dumbledore and the others stopped attacking.

Because Wade had helped protect the Alliance members earlier, most of them were still in excellent condition. Grindelwald personally led them in clearing the battlefield.

He wanted to uncover the truth behind this matter as quickly as possible.

Dumbledore, meanwhile, took Tom and the others back to the temporary command post.

Judging by his expression, he had quite a lot to say to Tom.

Wade stayed behind.

He wandered across the battlefield, grabbing whichever surviving Scourer he happened to come across and subjecting them to Legilimency.

To Wade's surprise, however, he learned very little.

There was almost nothing valuable in their memories.

All he found were memories of prolonged training as Scourers.

But Wade's expression gradually became serious.

These people were like specially trained "combat machines."

They barely seemed to possess any emotions of their own.

According to history, the Scourers had merely been a group of bounty hunters that had almost been completely wiped out.

How could they possibly have trained such a large force of combat machines?

There were not that many wizards in the magical world to begin with.

Forget the Scourers. Even when the Ministry lowered its recruitment standards for Aurors, it still struggled to find enough people.

And Grindelwald's Alliance had members from all over the world...

Wait.

All over the world?

Wade pulled open the cloak of one of the captured wizards.

The man beneath it was clearly European.

Wade used Legilimency again.

Over the next while, he examined dozens of prisoners one after another.

To his surprise, every single one of them was a native Englishman.

"Damn... that doesn't make sense... Are there really that many wizards in Britain?"

Wade frowned as he recalled the chaotic memories he had just examined.

"Hmm? No... something's wrong..."

Wade suddenly seemed to remember something.

He drew his wand and pressed it directly against the forehead of one prisoner.

A moment later, he moved on to another.

Then another.

After checking several prisoners in succession, Wade fell completely silent.

...

At the command post, Tom sat off to one side looking listless.

Dumbledore had just spent a very long time lecturing him before finally leaving.

For a moment, Tom was beginning to question his entire life.

Miravia and Nagini sat together on the other side.

Miravia held a white handkerchief and quietly wiped her beech wand.

The door opened, and Wade walked in with a grave expression.

"Did you find something?" Miravia asked.

"Hard to say. Maybe I'm overthinking it..." Wade had no intention of voicing the unease in his heart just yet.

He planned to wait for Grindelwald. Perhaps the information he brought back would give Wade a clearer answer.

"Why don't you all go back and rest first? It's already late," Wade said.

"What about you?" Nagini asked.

"I want to wait a little longer," Wade replied.

Tom shook his head. "I want to wait too. I need to know who has been targeting my family. Only then can my father and the others return to Riddle Manor without worrying."

"Then we'll wait too," Nagini said. "I want to know the truth."

"I don't mind either way," Miravia said.

"All right... then we'll wait together."

Wade sat down on the sofa and quietly stared at the chandelier overhead. No one knew what he was thinking.

By the time Nagini was nearly falling asleep, the door was pushed open again.

Grindelwald strode in hurriedly, with Dumbledore following behind him.

"Did you catch anyone?" Wade asked.

Grindelwald naturally understood that Wade meant whether he had captured anyone valuable.

"Of course! I caught every major and minor leader among the Scourers in one sweep." Grindelwald picked up the nearby kettle, poured himself a glass of water, and drank it down in one go.

"Mm. Where are they?" Wade asked.

"My people have temporarily sent them to Azkaban," Grindelwald said, deliberately emphasising my people.
