Hogwarts: This Dark Lord is Good?

Chapter 486: Miravia: You really came prepared, brat!

  • Next Chapter

“So this is your new home?” Miravia asked with interest as she looked over the moderately sized castle before her.

“Yes… I spent the entire school year preparing to put this castle into operation.” Wade turned to look at it, a pleased smile on his face.

People were happiest when they finally saw the fruits of their efforts, and now that the castle was successfully floating high in the sky, it proved that all his work over the past year had not been wasted.

Nagini held onto the iron gate behind her and leaned out to look.

Sure enough, all she could see below was an endless sea of white clouds.

“You’re incredible… You actually made an entire castle fly…” Nagini exclaimed.

“I owe part of that to Miravia,” Wade said with a smile. “If she hadn’t asked me to search for ancient magic hotspots all over the world, I never would have found the right ancient runes.”

“Oh? Are they the runes you found in those ancient ruins?” Miravia walked over to a wall and carefully examined the bricks. “Hmm… I’ve never seen this one either. Tch, sometimes it’s hard to believe you’re only thirteen. A lot of the things you create are beyond what many old wizards with grey hair could manage.”

“It’s just a matter of specialising in different fields. It’s nothing remarkable,” Wade said modestly.

Miravia continued looking around the open area outside and still showed no intention of entering the castle.

The things outside alone were already enough to hold her attention.

“The ancient runes here aren’t finished yet… Ah! You’re planning to keep expanding this place in the future!” Miravia said in surprise.

“That’s right. A mobile flying castle isn’t my limit. What I want to build is a city in the sky,” Wade said with a smile.

“If you’d said that before, I would’ve thought you were bragging again. But now… I believe you can actually do it,” Miravia said with a sigh.

Wade smiled. “Do you like this place? If you do, you can stay here. Ms. Paris told me you don’t like remaining in one place for too long, so you’ve never wanted to settle down anywhere. But this place suits you perfectly because my moving castle is somewhere different every day.”

Miravia stroked her chin thoughtfully. From the look in her eyes, she was clearly tempted.

Wade raised his wand.

The next moment, the previously barren open ground in front of the castle suddenly sprouted with fresh shoots.

Then…

Flowers bloomed everywhere.

Miravia’s eyes immediately lit up.

The flowers blooming here were exactly the same kinds as those in her dream.

“What spell is this? I can tell it isn’t Transfiguration.” Miravia happily leaned toward one of the flowers and smelled it.

“Hmm… this spell doesn’t have a name, but it can make whatever flowers you want bloom around you,” Wade said with a light laugh.

The spell came from Ravenclaw’s Diadem.

The consciousness inside had copied Ravenclaw’s vast knowledge, and there were countless interesting little spells like this among it.

“Teach me!”

“Of course.”

…

There were many doors inside the moving castle.

Behind them were not only individual rooms, but entire separate residences.

When Wade designed the castle, he had intended it to serve as a home for both himself and his followers.

Wade’s own residence was on the top floor.

Nagini stood on the balcony, looking down at the land far below, feeling completely refreshed.

“Teacher… why don’t we just stay here?” Nagini said softly to Miravia beside her.

By now, the entire balcony was covered in flowers.

Miravia stood among them, quietly admiring the scenery below.

“You’ve already fallen in love with this place?” Miravia asked with a light laugh.

“We don’t have anywhere else to stay anyway. We can’t keep living in the Department of Mysteries forever. That tiny office doesn’t even have anywhere to sleep,” Nagini complained.

“All right, all right… Since you put it that way, we’ll stay,” Miravia said, waving a hand.

Nagini smiled. “You obviously like this place too, Teacher. Why make it sound like you’re only staying because of me?”

“Fine… I really do like it here.” Miravia turned and asked Wade, who was standing behind them, “Are there any rooms left on the top floor?”

“Yes, yes. I prepared them for you long ago. In fact, the rings you’re wearing are the keys to your rooms,” Wade said cheerfully.

“You really came prepared, brat.” Miravia gave Wade a meaningful look.

Wade merely smiled without answering.

He was indeed in an excellent mood.

Nagini aside, the most important person here was Miravia.

Although the residue within her had almost completely dissipated, her strength was still on the same level as Dumbledore’s, making her extremely valuable to recruit.

So finding a way to keep her here was necessary.

As long as she stayed, Wade would have plenty of opportunities to draw her onto his side later. Muhehehe~

Of course, if she truly refused to join him, that was fine too. Why?

As long as she lived here, the base would still have some protection even when Wade was away.

After all, if someone attacked the base, she could hardly sit by and watch her own home get destroyed, right? Muhehehe~

Wade was finally beginning to understand why Grindelwald had always wanted to recruit anyone with real ability.

…

In the end, Miravia moved into the residence next to Wade’s, making them neighbours, while Nagini took a room on the floor below.

There was no helping it.

There were only two residences on the top floor to begin with.

Wade had designed the castle that way from the start.

In other words, long before construction had even begun, he had already been planning how to pull Miravia onto his side.

Wade knew that Miravia had almost certainly figured out what he was thinking by now.

Yet she had still agreed to move in.

That meant the idea was not completely hopeless.

Looking out at the white clouds beyond the window, Wade had already begun thinking about how to get old Slytherin to coax Hufflepuff into moving in as well.

“Young Master Wade, Miss Miravia and Miss Nagini have both settled in,” Toby said respectfully.

Wade nodded.

“Good. Go to the breeding base through the Vanishing Cabinet and bring back two capable house-elves to take care of their daily needs.”
