Hogwarts: Bloodline Legend
Chapter 1282: The Mysterious Elder (Part 3)
“Mighty Wizard! You’re not allowed to harm my master! Dobby… no, Kofi must protect the master!” its large eyes were filled with determination.
Despite its body trembling slightly with fear.
The old man smiled wryly and spoke to the House-Elf with a gentle yet firm tone, “Kofi, do not be rude. One must be courteous to guests. Besides…”
He raised his head, his gaze deep as he looked at Ian, and slowly said, “Before you might stand the last Legendary Wizard of this Human World in the End of the Dharma Era.”
“We should maintain reverence.”
He spoke slowly, his voice deep yet carrying undeniable authority.
These words were like a thunderbolt on a clear day, leaving Ian momentarily stunned, a storm surging in his heart! The other party had openly seen through his level of power?!
How could this be?! He was confident in hiding it well. Unless one was of the same level or had special detection means, it was almost impossible to discern his true depth!
And clearly.
The other party was no legend.
Of this, Ian was certain.
After all, the magical fluctuation from the other was very clear, and didn’t seem to use any concealment methods, at most merely a rather good elite old wizard.
The headmasters of Hogwarts could each easily handle ten such wizards. For a wizard of this level, the probability of identifying Ian as a Legendary Wizard was close to zero.
This was a matter of perspective.
More of a truth than the language barrier between black folks.
Whether a tank has rearview mirrors is uncertain, but a wizard of such a level definitely couldn’t recognize a Legendary Rank, especially when Ian is still disguised and hidden.
“???”
Seeing the undisguised astonishment on Ian’s face, the old man showed an enlightened expression, gesturing for Kofi to step back, then explaining to Ian.
“Please do not be surprised, Ian Prince… or should I call you Master Prince? I mean no harm, only when you came to my little shop today and showed a keen interest in the crucible in my back kitchen, I inquired about you from my old friend Caleb. Caleb spoke of you with high regard, and the information he revealed compelled me to make this bold guess… please forgive Caleb’s talkativeness and my presumptive speculation.”
He spoke without a flaw.
And quite frankly at that.
“I see!”
Ian suddenly understood. It was Master Caleb! After witnessing his proficiency in Alchemy and unfathomable prowess, the Master of Magical Rune Engraving surely shared his insights with this old friend who runs a restaurant. Given this elder’s insight and wisdom, deducing his Legendary rank, though astonishing, wasn’t entirely impossible.
The caution in Ian’s heart slightly diminished; he waved his hand, his tone returning to calm, “I see. You speak too highly, it is not an offense. Master Caleb is a scholar worthy of respect, and I enjoyed our discussions. I just didn’t expect to meet an elder with such keen vision as you, even in distant Africa.”
The old man, seeing Ian not angered, showed a relieved smile, “Master Prince doesn’t mind, then I’m glad. This old Musa, just a useless old countryman who’s lived a bit longer, seen more people and things. The sun’s bright outside, shall we go inside for some tea and chat leisurely? I believe your interest in my crucibles extends beyond tasting the stew, right?”
Musa’s smile carried the wisdom of understanding everything.
Evidently, he had long guessed Ian’s intentions.
“Indeed,” Ian nodded, growing more intrigued by this meeting. This seemingly ordinary restaurant owner might be more mysterious and powerful than he imagined.
Seeing Ian did not decline.
The old man smiled, his smile like the sunshine after rain in the rainforest.
