Chapter 1220: Chapter 391: The Resurrected Sun God (Part 3)
But his attack could not touch Ra at all. Just as the purple-black torrent was about to reach the small figure bathed in golden divine power, a majestic golden Shield of Light, as grand as an ancient Egyptian Temple, appeared silently before Him.
The torrent crashed hard against the Shield of Light, like mud flowing into the sea, failing to stir even the slightest ripple!
The Shield of Light remained unmoved, instead filtering and purifying the malice and venom within the purple-black torrent, dispersing them into harmless specks of light.
The Sun God did not even blink, His two golden solar eyes calmly gazing down at the remnants of the constantly twisting and collapsing Evil God’s body, just like a Deity overlooking dust.
Indeed, He was a Deity Himself.
His very existence was an insurmountable chasm; the leftover power of the Evil God couldn’t even make His robe flutter.
“Do you still not understand?” Ra lightly shook His head, with a hint of pity in His tone, “You were never truly a god, just a thief who pilfered Divine Power.”
“An amalgamation of temporal evil. Now that my Divine Power returns to its rightful place, you’re naturally reduced to your original form.” The Sun God spoke with killing intent, each word piercing like daggers.
The roar of the Evil God grew increasingly hysterical.
Meanwhile, outside the Temple, on the ruins at the edge of the city.
Carina, the Priestess, who had been watching the direction of the sacred battle with a heart filled with despair, and the believers behind her, whom Pluton Osiris had refused “the suicidal release,” left them hopelessly waiting for doom, suddenly lifted their heads.
They saw it!
Saw the torrent of Divine Power, like a golden waterfall, pouring down, rending the blood-red sky! Saw the tiny golden figure suspended in the air like a newborn sun!
They saw the dark red nightmare in the sky swiftly dispelled, replaced by the much-missed, pristine azure sky! A ray, no, countless rays of genuine, warm sunlight fell freely and generously upon this land cursed for far too long, like golden swords!
Upon witnessing the true Sun God’s radiance shine once more, these devoted people knelt on the ground, tears streaming down.
“It’s successful, indeed, that one in a million chance!”
Carina trembled with quivering lips, tears like a flood gushing forth, washing away the dust and despair from her face. Behind her, the believers, whether scarred warriors or critically injured civilians, whether elderly with silver hair or naive children, all knelt, wailing openly.
“Ra… truly is Ra…”
Carina sobbed, feeling the warm and pristine sunlight upon herself.
An astonishing event occurred—the sunlight healed all injuries at a speed visible to the naked eye. Those contaminated and mutated by the Evil God began reverting to their original states. Shedding extra limbs, newly grown skin covering exposed flesh and rekindling sanity in eyes previously filled with lunacy.
The entire city seemed to awaken.
As if injected with the fountain of life, tender green grass sprouted tenaciously from the cracks in the ruins; dry riverbeds began to flow with clear springs; even the air was filled with a long-lost, fresh smell of life. Dormant lives were being gently and resolutely reawakened by this returning Solar Divine Power.
The sunlight, like the source of life, cleansed all filth and darkness.
Yet, amidst this sacred revival scene, one person was engaged in entirely different actions—Ian Prince was crawling on the ground, completely disregarding his image and searching everywhere.
“Where are the fragments? Where did all those fragments fly to?”
He muttered to himself.
His eyes urgently scanned the ground.
