Hogwarts: Bloodline Legend
Chapter 1120 354: Leaving the Netherworld, Heading to Ra's Domain (3)
His voice trembled, carrying an incredible astonishment.
Ian looked at him, his lips slightly curled up.
"Since I said I would return, I will definitely return." He did not feel that going to the Netherworld posed any danger, after all, he could transform into a Raven and escape at any time.
Others did not know this.
The Priest stared blankly at him, eyes filled with shock and reverence. After all, this was the first Wizard throughout history to return to the Human World, and he found it hard to imagine what the other had encountered in the Netherworld.
Suddenly.
The Priest's mind stirred.
As if he had received some message.
His expression turned even more incredulous.
"You... you challenged the God of Death?"
This was clearly a notification from his superior, but even if his own God conveyed the information, the Priest still could not believe that a Wizard could defeat his own God.
Even if it was in some aspect, even if it was just a clever trick, or using some external tactics, it nonetheless was an act facing the Gods directly and having them admit the other party's victory.
Too unbelievable.
Looking at the old technician full of confusion and doubt.
Ian nodded, his tone calm:
"Yes. I won."
His words felt like he was talking about something as ordinary as daily life. The Priest went silent, only slowly bowing after a long while, with unprecedented respect in his voice.
"Great Wizard, please allow me to escort you out."
He no longer doubted Ian's identity, nor did he offer any life advice because he understood that the person before him could no longer be judged by mortals.
"Let's go, I have something to retrieve." Walking out of the Temple, Ian looked up at the night sky, where the moonlight cast a faint silver glow on his face.
He still had unfinished business.
Ian casually tidied the collar disturbed by the Netherworld's gloomy winds.
"Where is the Temple of the Sun God Ra?"
He asked the Priest.
The old Priest's adam's apple moved slightly.
He dared not refuse to answer.
Nor did he dare to ask what Ian was going to do.
"Along… along the eastern bank of the Nile River, thirty miles north..." He suddenly fell silent because the young man before him had already transformed into a pitch-black Raven, clinging to the oar that belonged to the God of Death.
"Wait!" The Priest mustered the courage to shout, "The Ra Temple has nine Curses..."
This sentence did not prompt vigilance from Ian's Raven; he elegantly twirled in the air, his scarlet right eye blinked, then suddenly spoke.
"I happen to need curse samples, thanks for the reminder."
As the black wings merged into the blue sky, the old Priest's legs gave way, collapsing to his knees. Soon, Ian vanished at the horizon, his goals clear.
The Raven transformed by Ian soared over the desert, its black wings gleaming with metallic luster under the scorching sun. He flew over the spires of temples, through the spice-laden smoke of the market, eventually arriving beneath the destination of his journey, where the river shimmered, merchant ships darted like shuttles, and farmers bent over fields on the riverbank.
Everything basked in the glory of Ancient Egypt's most prosperous era.
This was a mystical city in Ancient Egypt.
Divine Protection City.
The city was like a resplendent gemstone embedded on the Nile Riverbank. Towering obelisks pointed towards the sky, while the golden roofs of palaces and temples glistened under the blazing sun. The streets were bustling with people, the cries of merchants, chants of priests, and the playful laughter of children intertwined in a lively clamor.
The Raven circled once and landed on the rooftop of a tavern, its sharp eyes scanning the street scene below.
The temple was not far away.
And the fragments of the Eye of the Ra.
Still awaited him to "borrow" them.
