His Wild Omega
Chapter 11: Eat It!
Meris staggered a step back.
"You... What are you doing here?" She’d expected Selene to be choking to her death by now.
"Suprised?" Selene’s smile grew longer, eyes narrowed into a thin line. "You must have thought I’d be dead by now, huh?"
"What do you think you’re doing here?" Meris questioned. She pushed the door to close it. But just then, Selene slipped her hand in between, sustaining a heavy bang that nearly crushed her bones.
She hissed in pain.
Meris slowly looked towards her hand that was stuck between the door and the wall. Bit by bit, blood began to ooze off her split wound, falling to the floor. Yet Selene did not move an inch. In fact, there was no change to her expression, as if she were feeling no pain.
"Are you insane?! ARE YOU CRAZY?!" Meris questioned.
Selene chuckled a little. The look in her eyes was blank as if she were some unfeeling robot.
She said, "There is one thing you don’t know, and that is the fact that it isn’t advisable to provoke a Wild Omega."
"What?"
"Wild Omegas like me can resist the pheromones of an Alpha, even a Supreme Alpha, such as Dante. Do you think our brain is simple?" She chortled. "Of course not. We can become a little mad sometimes... Psychotic even. And when we become like that, there isn’t really anything we are not capable of in the state of madness."
Her pupils were enlarged.
With every word she spoke, she took a step forward, closing the distance between her and Meris.
"I’ve not done anything wrong to you. I’ve kept my distance from Dante to make sure I don’t get in the way of your love, yet...you still try to kill me?"
Meris took a step back.
"Do you think I’m a pushover?"
"Stop there! Stop coming close to me, you wild animal!"
But Selene continued to close the distance between them. She stepped into the room and shut the door behind her. In one hand, she held a pancake, while the other hand continued to bleed.
"I said, stop coming close to me!"
"Just don’t provoke me, and I won’t fight back. My wolf isn’t really that compliant and submissive like yours is. Wild wolves are cautious and vengeful. They are defensive and reactive. And you’ve threatened my life. So now, I have to fight back. I must get back at you to make you understand, Wild Omegas are no pushovers."
"You psycho!" Meris quickly turned around to rush towards her phone on the bed. "DANTE!—"
But Selene caught her. She snatched her by the back of her head and yanked her backwards.
Meris tripped over her feet and fell to the floor with a heavy thud. She hurriedly curled up on the floor and crawled backwards on her bottom. Her shoulders rose and fell in heavy breathing, face pale with fear as she watched Selene stare down at her with blankness in her gaze.
"You are insane..." She shakingly spoke. "...Do you dare to hurt me?"
"What do you think?" Selene asked.
"I am Dante’s mate!"
Meris barked.
"You hurt me and he will have you killed! Do you think you’ll get away with harming me?"
Selene tilted her head. "Do you think I’m scared of Dante?"
She took steps towards her.
Meris continued to crawl backwards until she was pushed up against the bed. "He’s a supreme alpha, and he will tear you apart!"
Selene stopped in front of her. Then she squatted down and reached over with her hand to grab her by the chin. "You sweet spoiled thing. Look at you. Do you know why I was substituted in my sister’s place?"
Meris shook, mouth parted as she bared her canines in defense.
"My older sister is a regular omega just like you. But unlike you, she’s not vile. She is too gentle, too kind, and too soft. Had she been here, she’d be dead. A pushover, one you can bully so easily. It isn’t that I’m a prisoner for your alpha," Selene breathed out. "My father knew that coming here, I’d have many enemies. And so far, you are the first acting enemy. If I’m going to survive and go home, that means I have to deal with every one of you, one by one."
Meris quickly slapped her hand off her face. "Don’t touch me! DON’T TOUCH ME!"
She turned to reach for her phone on the bed. But Selene gripped her by a good chunk of her hair. She tilted and twisted her head and then lifted the pancake, slapping it over her face.
Bit by bit, and forcefully, she began to stuff the pastry into her mouth.
"MMPH! MMPH!" Meris fought. She struggled, shaking her head. She refused to eat. She clutched Selene by the wrist. "Mmph! Mmph!"
"Eat it!" Selene forced it. "What are you scared of? You had them make this for me, what are you so afraid of?!"
Meris’s face had turned ashen. Tears spilled down her eyes. She fought back, but Selene overpowered her. She made her chew it, suffocate on it, and swallow it down.
However, while doing this, Selene didn’t notice that behind her, someone had come in. And just before she could react, something heavy was smashed directly against her head.
"Ugh!" She grunted as excruciating pain instantly overcame her.
Her head rang.
She looked behind her. The culprit was the head cook. She lowered her gaze and found that the object she’d been hit with was a heavy ceramic tea jug.
"You..." Blood began to spill down her head to her face, tainting the white dress she wore. "...Ah, crap."
She cupped her head and sat down on the floor.
By now, the grip she had on Meris had loosened.
Meris took that opportunity to smack her hand off and hurriedly bent over. She coughed hard, quickly sticking her fingers into her mouth, down to her throat, to cause herself to puke.
She vomited the pieces of pancakes.
Tears spilled down her cheek, shoulders rising and falling in heavy breathing. She looked over to Selene, whose face had become bloody. The blood spilled profusely down her head.
Meris staggered up to her feet.
"How dare you?!" she spat. "HOW DARE YOU HURT ME?!"
She looked around the room, searching for something.
"Madam...what do we do—"
"Shut up!" she snapped at the maid. Then she stormed towards the desk and picked up the small flower vase there.
Returning back, she lifted her hand. "You can go to hell!" She hit towards Selene.
Selene didn’t flinch. Her vision was becoming blurry. But even then, she could hear the things going on. She knew she was about to be hit, yet even after a few seconds, the hit never really landed.
She slowly tilted her head up.
And then...she saw him.
Dante.
