Chapter 463 - 304: Spiritual Vision Breaks the Illusion, Han Feng Confronts the Source of Contamination

If it was the former, that would be one thing. But if it was the latter...

That would mean the danger in Dragon Abyss is far greater than anticipated. The exploration plan we created would likely be unworkable.

"But first, we have to figure out exactly what’s happening."

Ye Daoyuan’s voice came through the communicator. "Tiecheng, send Han Feng to Dragon’s Fang Port. He’s the only choice."

He was willing to send Han Feng based on his assessment of the reconnaissance reports.

Two ordinary Enlightenment Realm Pilots had managed to escape the danger from several hundred meters away. This suggested the source’s Spiritual Strength wasn’t high enough to pose a fatal threat to Han Feng.

"But you must impress upon him that his safety is the priority. If he senses any danger, he is to retreat immediately," Ye Daoyuan added.

"Yes, Speaker."

Li Tiecheng hung up and immediately notified Vice Dean Chen Beixuan.

After all, Han Feng was still a student at East Sea Martial Arts University, so they had to be notified before he could be sent on a mission.

Upon hearing how urgent the situation was, Chen Beixuan immediately gave his approval.

Li Tiecheng then flew hurriedly toward the university’s villa district where Han Feng was staying.

Upon his arrival outside the villa, the butler, Old Liu, appeared immediately and greeted him with a respectful bow.

"Has Han Feng come out of seclusion?" Li Tiecheng asked urgently.

Old Liu shook his head. "To answer the General, Mr. Han is still in seclusion and has not issued any instructions."

Hearing this, Li Tiecheng frowned deeply.

Time was short. Casting aside all propriety, he immediately released his immense Divine Sense, attempting to probe the situation inside the villa.

His Divine Sense flowed like invisible water, silently penetrating the villa’s heavy defenses until it finally locked onto Han Feng in the Quiet Chamber below.

Inside the Quiet Chamber, Han Feng sat cross-legged. Twelve acupoints around his body shone brilliantly, twinkling like stars within him.

At the core of each acupoint, an azure, diamond-shaped Longevity Sword Seed spun slowly, radiating a lush Vitality.

Silvery-white sword light and emerald-green Vitality intertwined, the immense Vitality Power nourishing the meridians and acupoints throughout his body.

This was the result of him consuming all his resources.

An indescribable feeling of lightness washed over him as he felt the changes in his body.

This was the result of having abundant Vitality Power.

Han Feng was very satisfied with this, though it was a pity his resources had been so limited.

Otherwise, he would have loved to condense thirty-six Longevity Sword Seeds in one go.

Just then, he sensed a powerful Divine Sense probing him.

It was the aura of General Li Tiecheng. He knew the general would never be so rash unless it was a matter of extreme urgency.

Han Feng immediately stopped his cultivation, retracted his aura, rose slowly, and pushed open the door to the Quiet Chamber.

When Han Feng stepped out of the villa and saw Li Tiecheng’s anxious face, he already had a premonition.

"General, what did you need me for?" Han Feng asked.

A flicker of surprise showed in Li Tiecheng’s eyes as he looked at Han Feng.

Though they hadn’t seen each other in only a few days, Han Feng’s aura had grown even more composed. The silver glint that occasionally flashed in his eyes was as sharp as a Divine Sword about to be unsheathed.

"Han Feng, there’s been trouble at Dragon’s Fang Port!"

Li Tiecheng wasted no words, directly telling Han Feng everything—the incident at Broken Star Reef, the strange retreat of the Jiangbei City Fleet, and the news that Zhao Tianlan of the Ghost Squad was missing.

A look of surprise crossed Han Feng’s face as he listened.

He hadn’t expected so much to have happened in the few days he was in seclusion—and for it to be related to Spiritual Contamination.

The Void Sea Demon, the strange singing, the abnormalities in the Titan Battle Armor—all signs pointed to a powerful source of Spiritual Contamination.

"Don’t worry, General. I’ll head to Broken Star Reef to investigate at once."

Han Feng said without the slightest hesitation.

Li Tiecheng breathed a sigh of relief at his agreement but still warned him solemnly:

"The Speaker gave specific instructions: your safety is the priority.

If you feel like something is wrong, retreat immediately. Don’t take any risks.

The Dragon Abyss Boundary Membrane over Broken Star Reef is unstable, so Martial Artists at Tier Four or above cannot enter.

But that area is also adjacent to the Dragon Abyss Core, so the danger could be far greater than you can imagine."

Han Feng nodded slightly, his expression serious.

"Rest assured, General Li. I value my life. I won’t take any unnecessary risks and will act within my capabilities."

After that, Han Feng went quickly to the Shadow Project Department to personally pilot the X-01 Prototype.

A moment later, the Particle Engine let out a deafening roar, and the X-01 Prototype instantly transformed into a black bolt of lightning, tearing through the sky as it shot toward Dragon’s Fang Port.

High above East Sea City, General Li Tiecheng and Vice Dean Chen Beixuan hovered side by side, gazing in the direction Han Feng had disappeared.

Both of their expressions were grave, yet also held a trace of hope for what was to come.

"Let’s hope the kid brings us some good news," Chen Beixuan said softly.

Li Tiecheng didn’t reply. He just silently clenched his fists.

The Dragon Abyss Mist Sea, that unknown domain, had begun to reveal its savage nature.

...

BOOM—RUMBLE—!

Less than four minutes later, a deafening thunderclap exploded without warning over Dragon’s Fang Port.

The sound was so immense that the very ground of the port trembled.

Liu Zhen and Wang Qiang, who were waiting anxiously inside the Command Tower, were startled by the sudden boom. They thought those madmen from Jiangbei City had come charging back.

"What was that?!" Liu Zhen darted to the window.

On the port’s docks, all the busy soldiers, mercenaries, and the Ghost Squad members who had just narrowly escaped death looked up in horror toward the source of the sound.

There, in the azure sky, a slender black streak of light tore across the heavens at a speed the naked eye could barely follow, leaving a long white vapor trail in its wake.

In the blink of an eye, the black streak crossed the sky and arrived above the port. It decelerated abruptly, revealing a sleek, futuristic black fighter craft.
