Chapter 300: Chapter 176: Blade Dao Attainment, Descendant of the Demon Emperor

Intent, Rhythm, Spirit, Substance, and Domain—the five were no longer independent techniques.

Instead, they were five types of fundamental insights flowing through his blood, surging in his True Essence, and branded upon his soul.

They resonated with and were drawn to each other.

Driven by Li Wen’s will, they began to attempt an unprecedented fusion.

His movements became exceedingly slow. Every inch the blade’s tip moved felt as if it were pushing a colossal mountain, tearing through an invisible barrier.

At first, they were like converging streams, meeting with awkward friction and tentative probes.

Gradually, the momentum of his blade became fluid and harmonious. The "intents" from the different techniques began to embrace and layer over one another.

The demonic aura coiling around him roiled violently, shaken by the pulse of his Blade Intent.

It was as if the aura had met its natural predator, yet it was forcefully bound and suppressed by this nascent "Dao," even faintly drawn into the blade’s trajectory, adding a touch of grim, desolate power.

In his absolute concentration, the passage of time became a blur.

The mountain wind fell still, as if subdued by the immense pressure that was building.

Suddenly!

An unprecedented, brilliant light burst from Li Wen’s eyes as an invisible shockwave blasted outward from his body!

"CRACK—"

It was not a physical sound, but a distinct sensation of shattering that came from the depths of his spirit and soul.

The bottleneck that had long held him back was utterly demolished, shattering like fine crystal.

HUM—!

The entire mountaintop seemed to give a slight shudder.

Following that, an unprecedented and wondrous feeling enveloped Li Wen.

The world around him was no longer mere space; it was as if filled with innumerable flowing, tangible, and perceptible lines and pulses of energy.

The stones, the grass, the air, even the very pulse of the planet beneath his feet—all of it was reflected clearly in the perception of his Primordial Spirit, as if within his grasp.

This was the Dao Realm—a state of deep communion with the world, allowing one to command its power!

A mere thought was all it took. He needed no complex techniques, nor did he draw upon much of his own True Essence. With a casual, level slash, he guided a wisp of the world’s power—so faint it was almost negligible—onto the edge of his blade.

SWISH!

A pale blue, crescent-shaped arc of energy nearly a hundred feet long shot from the blade. Silently, it vanished into a hard rock formation, dozens of meters high and several hundred meters away.

Utterly silent.

The next moment, the upper half of the massive boulder slid slowly away along a perfectly smooth plane, the cut surface as flawless as a mirror.

The nearly imperceptible fluctuations of energy left on the cut surface contained a sharpness and density that no expert at the Blade Soul Realm could ever hope to achieve, even with a full-power attack.

A brilliant light shone in Li Wen’s eyes.

He found that the blade arts he had long taken for granted now felt as if they had been given new life.

Even the most basic path of the blade, when augmented by its resonance with the power of the world, could transform the ordinary into the extraordinary. Its might, speed, and conceptual depth all leaped to an entirely new level.

The immense joy of reaching this new realm became a wellspring of infinite motivation.

Li Wen no longer held back. Atop Nameless Mountain, he let loose with abandon.

His form was like the wind, his blade a rainbow of light. At times, he would call upon the power of the gales, whipping up clouds of sand and stone. At others, he would draw on the pulse of the earth, making the very rock beneath his feet hum in resonance. Then, he would condense the frigid, thin water vapor from the air, forming sharp frost crystals that danced along his blade...

He immersed himself in the experience of perfectly fusing the world’s power with his own Blade Intent, constantly experimenting and seeking new insights.

With every move, the ripples of energy he created grew wider and more powerful.

...

「Meanwhile, deep within the underground complex of Changning City, in the Spatial Anomaly Monitoring Center.」

On a massive, curved screen wall, dense streams of data and blinking regional light dots filled the display.

Suddenly, at the edge of a sector representing the western suburbs of Changning City, a blinding red light flared to life! A shrill alarm suddenly blared!

"Warning! High-intensity unknown energy source detected! Location: Changning City, western suburbs, Nameless Mountain area!"

"Energy levels are climbing rapidly! Peak value has breached the threshold... and it’s still rising!"

"Intensity is approaching threat-level!"

The monitoring room fell so quiet you could hear a pin drop, the only sound the piercing shriek of the alarm.

Several young monitoring officers, their faces pale, stared dumbstruck at the glaring red light on the screen—a symbol of destructive threat.

"Quick! Zoom in on the image! See what it is!" someone shouted, their voice trembling.

The operator’s fingers flew across the console. The satellite’s optical view instantly focused on the peak of Nameless Mountain.

However, the screen only showed a violently distorted, blurry image, as if shrouded by layers of invisible interference. No matter how they switched resolutions or filter modes, they couldn’t see any details of the core region.

"Report! Unable to resolve the image! The Energy Field interference is too intense. Satellite imaging has failed!"

"What do we do? Notify the emergency response team? Activate the city defense protocol?" Panic began to spread.

"What’s all the panic about?" a calm and steady voice sounded from the doorway.

Captain Zhao Zheng strode in, followed by several core team members. His sharp gaze swept across the blurry red area on the screen, roiling with terrifying energy readings. His expression was grave, but he showed no sign of panic.

He walked over to the main console and carefully examined the coordinates. The tension in his body visibly eased.

"Captain, this is..." a team member asked nervously.

Zhao Zheng raised a hand to silence him. His gaze remained fixed on the core of the chaotic energy, and a look of unconcealable amazement slowly dawned in his eyes.

He took a deep breath, his tone laced with a complex, unreadable emotion. "Don’t worry. That place... it’s the mountain where Captain Li usually practices his blade work."

At his words, everyone froze, stunned. They looked from the red light on the screen to Zhao Zheng in disbelief.

Zhao Zheng pointed to the raging energy domain. "You can’t see through it because the power of the world there has been thrown into complete chaos. This... this is an unavoidable phenomenon that occurs when someone steps into the ’Dao Realm’—communicating with the world and drawing on the energy around them."
