“Alright,” he said, a note of relief in his voice. “From now on, send someone to inspect it twice a year. As long as the seal doesn’t loosen, there won’t be any problems.”

He turned around and looked at Xu Wuyi, a smile appearing on his face. “Wuyi, the Battle Group will calculate your compensation for these past two days separately. Even though we didn’t manage to kill that Great Commander, everyone felt much safer with you holding the line here.”

Xu Wuyi shook his head. “No need. Just stick to our prior agreement.”

Qiao Tongyu smiled and didn’t insist. The group packed up their equipment and withdrew to the camp.

That afternoon, the members of the Battle Group began to inventory their recent harvests, while Xu Wuyi returned to his tent to rest.

The next morning, they set out again, heading for the next Rift.

The following days fell into a nearly fixed rhythm. Upon arriving at a new Rift, Qiao Tongyu would first send people to conduct a detailed reconnaissance to ensure there was no Beast King Level existence inside. Then, the Battle Group would set up a defensive line and intentionally release the Beast Tide. They would escalate the pressure layer by layer, forcing out all the Great Commander Level Star Beasts.

Once all the Great Commanders had emerged, Xu Wuyi would strike.

The Power of Order would cover the entire battlefield. All the Star Beasts would instantly be frozen in place, their Life Rules disintegrated, turning them into perfectly intact corpses. The whole process was clean and efficient—taking two or three minutes at the fastest, and no more than ten minutes at the slowest.

The Battle Group would then harvest, collect, and transport all the precious materials back to the camp. Finally, the Energy Neutralization Device would be brought in to compress and seal the Rift, leaving it to the subsequent garrison personnel.

Other Grandmasters might be able to do this, but not as flawlessly as Xu Wuyi, nor would the yield be as great. Furthermore, instantly killing thousands of Star Beasts—even Star Beast Commanders—without triggering other complications was actually impossible for an ordinary Grandmaster. It would require a Domain Grandmaster of the second step, or even a Divine Intent Grandmaster. However, such figures had their own affairs to attend to. Their appearance fees were exorbitantly high, making the endeavor not worth the cost.

Traveling and stopping like this, they journeyed from the northeast to the northwest of Dongjiang Province, from mountainous areas to plains, and from the wilderness to the outskirts of cities. The situation at each Rift varied. Some had many Star Beasts, some had few; some had complex terrain, some were open; some Rifts had high Energy Levels, others were low.

But no matter what situation they faced, Xu Wuyi’s method of handling them remained consistent.

Under the blanket of the Power of Order, all Star Beasts instantly lost their combat ability, becoming lambs to the slaughter. Before Xu Wuyi, those Great Commander Level Star Beasts were no different from low-tier Blade-toothed Beasts and Red Fang Beasts. It was always a single move, an instantaneous disintegration, leaving behind perfectly intact corpses.

Only once did they encounter a special Star Beast.

It was a Spiritual-type Great Commander that excelled at creating illusions and launching Spiritual Attacks. The moment it rushed out of the Rift, the entire battlefield was enveloped in its Spiritual Power. Various bizarre and eerie images began to appear before the eyes of the Battle Group’s Martial Artists. Some saw their dearest loved ones die in front of them, some saw countless Star Beasts lunging toward them, and some simply saw nothing at all, plunged into total darkness.

But once Xu Wuyi’s Power of Order swept over, those illusions instantly vanished. The Spiritual-type Great Commander didn’t even have time to react before it was frozen in place, becoming just another lamb to the slaughter like the rest of the Star Beasts.

Afterward, Qiao Zhiyao couldn’t help but ask him about it. “Senior Brother, did that Great Commander’s Spiritual Attack really not affect you at all?”

Logically speaking, this type of Spirit Shock was extremely rare, and even a Grandmaster would be affected to some degree. At the very least, Qiao Tongyu, who was also present, had been affected. Although it was very brief, that was a matter of power intensity, not the nature of the attack itself.

Xu Wuyi thought for a moment and answered truthfully. “It did have an effect, but it couldn’t break through my Order. Once its Spiritual Power entered the Order Field around me, it was automatically analyzed and converted into information I could comprehend.

“The essence of those illusions is just a special kind of Spiritual fluctuation.”

Qiao Zhiyao didn’t completely understand, but she looked at Xu Wuyi with even more admiration.

Time passed day by day.

The weather grew colder, and snowflakes began to drift down over the mountainous regions of Dongjiang Province. Xu Wuyi followed the members of the Dongjiang Battle Group, running from place to place, dealing with Rift after Rift.

By early December, they finally finished dealing with the last Rift.

It was located in the northernmost part of Dongjiang Province, hidden deep within a vast, boundless snowfield. There was no sign of human habitation for tens of kilometers around—only swirling winds, driving snow, and an endless expanse of white.

The process of handling it was no different from the other Rifts. The Energy Neutralization Device was activated, the Beast Tide surged out, the Battle Group fought them off layer by layer, and the Great Commanders appeared one after another. Once the final Great Commander was forced out, Xu Wuyi made his move.

The only difference was that the blizzard was particularly fierce that day.

Xu Wuyi stood in the snow, letting the flakes fall on him, watching as the immobilized Star Beasts were gradually blanketed by white, turning into statues.

Qiao Tongyu walked up beside him and also looked at the snow-covered Star Beasts, a smile on his face. “This is the last one,” he said, his voice somewhat muffled by the wind and snow. “Seven Rifts, all completely handled. Wuyi, thanks for your hard work over the past month or so.”

Xu Wuyi shook his head. “You’re too polite, Uncle Qiao.”

“Let’s head back to Linjiang,” Qiao Tongyu said. “Everyone is tired. It’s time for a good rest.”

Xu Wuyi nodded and followed him toward the camp.

Behind them, the Martial Artists of the Battle Group were loading the snow-covered corpses of the Star Beasts onto vehicles, one by one. The blizzard grew heavier, quickly blurring everyone’s figures.

A day later, Xu Wuyi arrived in Linjiang City.

After the prolonged period of battling, Xu Wuyi was also somewhat fatigued. He planned to take a break, so he simply decided to stay in Linjiang for a while.
